I keep looking at all these really cool avi's and I wonder if I'll ever earn enough gold to be able to afford stuff like that. Does anyone have any good ideas for a newbie to earn some decent amounts of gold? Right now I'm pretty much using fishing as my "income" but if there are betters ways I'd appreciate the help! Is there a better place to fish besides Bassken Lake? Keeping in mind I have grade F bait and a Basic Rod.

Taking polls, and pumping right afterwards brings in a pretty good amount of gold. Just make sure you do it where you can bump though. Some threads don't care very much of bumping. A really good place to bump and poll would be 'Quest/Charities' under the Gaia Exchange topic in forums. Plus I also really lucked out with some of my items, because I had a friend who left gaia, and I was one of the people who she gave her stuff too. So hope that one day you'll luck out like that also. (And same goes for random donations from random nice Gaians) sweatdrop
