Phib furrowed his brow, and swayed the end of his tail. "If you cannot remember names, it is hard to imagine scent still lingers. Just think about them for a moment, and I'm sure you'll remember." And she did remember- even if she stumbled a bit on the name of one of her sisters. To this Phib perked his ears, and righted his posture. "Well, I can say then that I do in fact know your family." Phib spoke, most pleased with himself. "Soul's girl? I have not met your mother, or your brother for that matter, but I know her father. Sigrid I have met on a few occasions, though I do not believe you shall have much luck finding her. She's become a vagabond it seems, and I don't believe she's too anxious to find you all. Too much of the father in her, I believe." Phib remarked, but quieted himself. He had heard only faint rumors about the girl's father, and political or not, he was not one to continue them. "Naib, however. I do know where you may find her. She is living on my lands. Her mate brought her back with him just a few weeks ago. A nice girl, she'll be handling some of the pup watching."

Phib knew her grandfather? Amani's ears perked up a little in great interest. She, of course, did not know of the wolf in which Phib spoke... however, she felt it very important to hear of her blood relations, for some unknown reason.
"Sigrid, huh?" Amani sighed, shifting the earth between her paws restlessly. Even Sigrid's name reminded her of the days back in the den... Sigrid's unique bluish-grey pelt one among a 'sea' of brown fur. Amani always thought of Sigrid as a kind of outcast... however, she hardly knew her siblings and suddenly felt the weakest of the group. Why had she not moved on? Why was she stuck here, doing nothing but waiting... waiting for nothing at all.
"I guess it's in Sigrid's personality to wander. She's always seemed the type, after all. Though, I envy her... and the others. I envy how they could all walk away from here so quickly, so easily."
She sulked, feeling rather frustrated. Amani had lay the blame on her family all her life... but really, she had been far too scared to advance forward. She felt bitterness well up inside her throat, but forced her feelings back. Instead, she listened to Phib. A name caught her by surprise.
"Naib?" Amani jumped up, a newfound energy spurring her on, "Phib, you've met Naib? Where is she? Your packlands? With a mate?" Amani, despite her feelings of uneasiness around Sigrid, had nothing much against her other sister. Maybe, if she could find Naib, Amani could find the whereabouts of her parents. The thought made Amani excited.
"Your lands are near the sea, right? Brilliant! If I follow that distant salty scent..." Amani broke into a grin, her tail wagging in an almost dog-like fashion, "Thankyou, Phib! Thankyou very much. I really did need a bit of a talking to, you know, and it's done me wonders. Shall we meet again sometime?"
Padding forward slowly, Amani bowed her head in the direction of the black wolf with the scarred muzzle. He had been proud, but wise. Amani did not even think about Phib's thoughts on trespassers... she wanted to get to his lands, and fast. Amani was too headstrong to ask the help of the wolf... her excitement blurred her mind and muddled her thoughts.
"Thankyou!" Amani smiled, lifting her head, "Next time we meet, if we ever meet again, I'll be a different wolf."
With this, she took a flying leap, and with a burst of energy she was off.
'To Phib's lands,' Amani thought, 'To the sea.'
She turned to look back... to her old home, and Phib. Amani shrugged.
'I guess it's time to go.'

Phib chuckled as the other female began to fall into excited estatics. He doubted she'd have much trouble finding the land, and Naib. "Yes, she's fine." He remarked. "She's living a bit northwest of the ocean, with her mate Rio."
And just about as soon as he had spoke, she was already bursting off- although she stopped a few feet later to peer back forlornly at her lonely home. Leaving home... Even he took a moment to look back at it. There was no connection for her there now. He didnt doubt she would be changed.
"Ah, I'm not so quickly rid of." Phib remarked with a sway, and slowly moved off in the direction she was moving. "If you are heading to the sea, I shall see you there."

Amani ran forward, then slowed a little as a familiar voice sounded beside her. A black, powerful shadow leapt to her side. There it was again... that smooth, calm voice. 'Phib?' Amani thought, a little shocked. Hadn't she left him already? Hadn't she already pulled away from the densite? For a moment, Amani imagined that she was still sitting under the old tree. It was such a calm place, a happy memory... for a moment, Amani felt a pull. She wanted to go back. But Phib's strong voice sounded again, and Amani snapped back into reality. "See me there?" Amani pulled to a halt, hesitating, "You're sure? I mean, a wolf such as yourself... wouldn't you have other, more important things to do?" However, she did not stop for long. Stopping meant 'giving up' to the young wolf, and the last thing she wanted was to give in to temptation, especially in front of Phib. "Well, I guess I can't stop you. It should be quite an amusing reunion, if it actually will ever happen, Phib." Amani smiled a little, eyes glimmering with newfound hope, "Thanks for coming with me. But, hey, it's ironic... just when I find the courage to set off by myself, someone does actually come along!"

The shock of the other female brought nothing more then a quirk of the brow to the other male. “Surely not too busy to go home.” He drawled, and moved forwards. “I’ve been off for too long as it is. Amélie shall start to weep.”
It’d be a bit until reaching the lands, although he was really not so far away from home as he imagined. “It won’t be too hard finding her.”
(( Would you like to start up a post in the pack thread? :3 I can ask Shia to bring Naib to meet her. ))

(( Oh, yeah, that would be awesome!! ^o^ Should I post it, or...? xD *overly cautious about these kind of things* Meeting Naib would be really great for Amani, and if Shia's not busy that would be very spiffy indeed. ;D Thankyou very much, Werewolf! n__n- xD))
"So, will we be there by the time the moon has risen?" Amani asked, eyes staring forward, but ears perked backwards in order to catch Phib's voice, just in case he spoke, "I would've thought it would be quite a while away... but I can smell salt on the wind. Hmmm... the ocean must've been closer than I'd actually thought! I mean, it's still far... but..."
The scent was distant, but it was there. With each footstep, the scent grew slightly stronger. Amani couldn't help but imagine the huge, wet, salty puddle that her mother had described to her in stories. She felt a little excited at the prospect of seeing the ocean and meeting her sister.
'Naib,' Amani thought, letting the name bring her back in time. It was such an old name that she had almost forgottern. Yet, it was so... familiar. And supposing Amani did find Naib... what then? Would she settle with Naib in Phib's packlands? Would she continue on her journey, wishing to find her other family members (excluding her father, of course. As far as Amani was concerned, he wasn't worth her time)?
"Amélie?" Amani picked up on the name. Unlike Naib's own name, Amani had never heard of 'Amélie' before, "Is she a mate of yours?"

(( Sure! 83 How about the response to this post be a new thread in the outriders, and I'll get ahold of Shia~ I'm sure she'll be happy to join in. ))
Phib glanced at the other female with a light chuckle. Ah, Amélie. He would tell her the truth, but it would never give an accurate description of exactly what she would be dealing with. Although as far as he was concerned, it was perhaps better to give as private a meeting with Naib as possible. These things were rather emotional, after all. “Yes, my mate.” He spoke.
He couldnt help but grin at her phrasing of the question. Perhaps it was just a slip of the tongue– but, she certainly seemed rather quick to have caught on to the fact that she was not his only mate in the stretch of his life. Maybe it was a slip. But it still brought a smirk. It would be interesting to see what she would do after meeting Naib. He could use a wolf that had that kind of perception.
"It's not too far." He spoke. "Getting to the sea will take a while, but Naib lives towards the borderline. It won't be long at all."
