The blue juve's ears perked up at her comment. Did that mean... she felt they were already good friends, and had known each other long enough? Bluu's eyes brightened and his heart lifted, this new, warm, fuzzy feeling giving him confidence.
In reply to her most recent words, he asked, "What stuff? Following others around, or getting into trouble?" He chuckled, then continued, "Hopefully, I won't do either one."

The clay-colored juve tilted her head at his new expression, laughing a bit. "You alright there?" she asked, sitting upright once more.
"I mean like, chasing girls around and stuff like that!" she giggled, pawing at him playfully. "It'd be weird if you did that, huh? Imagine! I'm sitting here while you're off chasing another girl around! We could never play together!" With that, she started laughing at the thought of it.

The idea of Ezeoha temporarily flew from his mind as Bluu flopped squarely onto his bum, ready to continue the conversation.
He made a mock-motion of nipping at the paw before he replied, "It would be rather hard to play together, wouldn't it!" He didn't really realize that he might very well be doing that in the near future, due to his girl-lovin' personality. The thought had evaporated moments before.

China's eyes fluttered a bit at his reply. Did that mean he -would- go around chasing other girls? She felt hurt now. D:
"I see.." she said, suddenly giving him the cold shoulder as she turned away from him. "So I'm not good enough to play with you now? Is that it?" Poor little juve was on the verge of tears now. ;; "And you're sayin' you wanna act like Ezeoha, huh?!" The female's ears flattened, before giving a rather loud sniffle.

"Wh-what?" China's remarks caught the entirely wrong side of his statement (at least that's what he thought they did), startling the little blue juve. He faltered backwards, but then ran up to her frontside. He peered his deep, blue eyes into her close-to-tears ones, and said, choosing his words as carefully as possible, even though there was much about himself he had yet to learn with age and experience, "No, China, that's not what I meant! You're really cool and really pretty and rather awesome, ya'know? I was just saying.. that... that if I did go run off an' do that, that you were right, we would possibly have a hard time playing with each other."
He didn't want to lie, and he veered as far away as possible from fabrication. However, to do that, he had to add something, "I... I have to admit. Girls are real amazing to me, and they're really pretty, nice, optimistic and stuff like that! Like you! I... I can't never stay away from them, but even if I do meet new people, it's not like I'll forget you! I'll never, ever ever forget you, and I'll always be around to cheer for you and hang out and stuff. We'll be friends forever!"
Bluu leaned in and gently nuzzled China. She was a great friend to him, and he would never want to lose her.

She hiccuped a bit, looking up at his ocean-y blue eyes, sniffling even more. Little tears rolled down her furry cheeks, before listening to his explanation. She didn't completely believe him just yet.
As Bluu gave his little comforting speech to her about how he'd always be there for her, the juve gave a tiny, hiding smile. She couldn't talk just yet, unless she wanted a choked apology to come out. Chinara was certainly not someone who would open up like Zuri had done! But then again, they were friends. And friends stuck together like an anteater to an ant hill, right?
The lioness-to-be opened her mouth to say something, before she suddenly felt Bluu's head nuzzle her cheek, wiping the tears away. This was certainly a new feeling that washed over her! She closed her mouth in an unusually tight way, her face turning a pale red. These feelings made her feel uncertain of what her response should be, but she decided it felt right to sit there-- even nuzzle a little back! "Forever?" she asked hopefully, in a quiet tone.

Bluu sat quietly, letting out a small huff and gasp after his speech to regain his breath. He felt that what he said truly came from the heart. It was both honest and comforting, loving and friendly.
After he felt a nuzzle in return, which happened to make him feel slightly hot as it caused a light blush to run under his fur, he replied, an enthusiastic and confident tone in his voice, "Forever!" He tilted his head slightly and grinned, hoping that his goofiness might convince China some more.
Suddenly, a little invisible lightbulb sprung to life above the juve's head. "Hey, let's make a promise! That way there will be no way to forget each other. Let's promise to always be friends, no matter what we do, where we go, or who we meet."
Hmm, perhaps a special secret "pawshake" would be cute in sealing the deal? Bluu stuck out his tail awkwarding, gesturing to make some sort of motion like a "pinky-swear," except with lion tails instead.

China couldn't help but grin back at Bluu, giggling a bit. He certainly knew how to cheer up a girl, especially one who was his friend. x3
At his proposal, the female juve nodded her head a bit seriously, before lightening up. And seeing the blue lion's tail stretch out made her whip hers out as well, curling it so that the tufts wrapped around each other. "And we gotta make an oath... repeat after me!" She paused to clear her throat. "I solemnly swear... that from this day forward... Chinara'fola and Zuri'bluu... shall be friends.. no matter where they are.. what they're doing.. or who they're meeting.. 'kay?"
Once this oath was taken, China then uncoiled their tails, and leapt to her feet excitedly. "You oughta come join the Pridelanders!" she exclaimed, before blinking at what she said. She lay down nonchalantly, as if trying to look cool. "I m-mean, if you want to n' stuff.."

Bluu nodded in excitement, giggling and uttering, "I solemnly swear, that from this day forward... Chinara'fola and me, Zuri'bluu shall be friends... no matter where they are, what they're doing... or who we're meeting." After swinging his tail around a bit, he added with a wink, "Got'cha!"
The next matter of business quickly came. When China mentioned the idea, surprisingly calm and collected for such an... "interesting" proposal, Bluu thought about it a bit. His first instinct was to exclaim "Sure!" because, after all, it'd mean it'd be even easier to keep this oath they had just made, and it'd be pretty fun even, probably. His mother, father, and siblings, all travelers, enjoyed living a "freelance" life, but momma did once say, "If you find a pride that will treat you well... (and keep you out of trouble and not straying too far away)... then, why, go for it!" However, it did mean he would be "more" restricted for travel and meeting others; it didn't made the idea completely impossible, for the Pridelanders would surely probably allow him to explore around still.
"Well, it sounds like fun! But... I'm not sure. Would they all accept, and stuff?" he asked, tilting his head with a questioning glance. His lip curled playfully; some element of himself or his body always seemed to save the moment and add some humour to it.

China grinned to the blue lion, nodding. "I don't see why not! You're everythin' a pride member would be! You're funny, smart, kind, handsome, curtious..." she listed on and on, before stopping just after 'suave'. xD
She stretched out a bit, releasing her claws before retracting them. She then trotted up to Bluu, and started to rough house with him by tugging on his ear and shoving a paw against his maw. She could be so queer sometimes. oxo

"Well..." He thought about it for a moment. It sure seemed as if joining would make China happy, and what was better than that, really? "I guueeessssssssss I can see if they'll let me in..." He prolonged the 's,' rolling his eyes around, tumbling his neck so that his head also moved in a playful circular way.
He retaliated to China's actions by flopping his belly down onto the ground in one swift motion. Hopefully she would like... trip.. or something..? (( xD;; ))
Speaking from the ground, he begun with an honest question which lead into just plain ludacrity. "I can still always travel around and stuff, right? I wanna see the sights, get lectured to by an' old-furt bird 'bout this landscape and that landscape... I wanna get my paws wet in sludge!" He paused for a moment, then tilted his head down slightly, a wide grin plastered upon his face.
"And besides, ma'll probably want to know what I'm doing with mahself." He puffed his chest up, beaming. "So, uh... shall we go talk to some pridelanders, or something?"
