"🔹No more art can be submitted after June 8th 11:59pm PST"
no exceptions? crying my next day off is the 9th...
edit: or does this mean "no more than 100 posts" in general?
Yeah that's fine, I'm okay with this because typically in years past people not in hard mode had an additional 5 or so days to complete/submit everything. I just kinda got rid of this rule because I didn't want to come back and look at things for another week hahaha. It would also push the event getting an official 'closing up' and then one just.. wouldn't happen (you can look at past years where it's like day 100.. dead silence after, no closing statement, NOTHING).
Honestly everyone can still 'submit' after it just won't get in the final count/tally (and definitely not the time restrictive mode one, but easy I'll grant since this is the first year we're changing this). But realistically I won't be doing that till like 10PM EST tomorrow anyway. That's when I'll lock everyone's threads.
;u; I don't mind if my 100th entry isn't counted. To me 99 days is just as good, especially since I just do not have time today(work in 30 minutes not counting the ride there). I will try to get a 100th entry in before the threads are locked but I'll be fine and maybe only cry a tiny bit if I don't make the deadline
Spotlight from the last week* of the event. Congrats, all! Congrats to everyone who submitted entries into the event this year. c: Creating even just one thing is better than if we hadn't at all. :}
*Week 14 = days 92-98, plus 2 extra days

I love how we all have such diverse styles. It's cool to see them all in one place in the Spotlights each week. But I also enjoy checking out everyone's entries in general. XD So thank you, guys, for posting art all event. It was my entertainment whenever I had a few mins of downtime to fill here and there.
... and now I need to go find new entertainment... until next year c;
Day #3 Theme: Mr. APPLe Time spent: Around an hour or less.
Comments: Surprisingly I quite like how this turned out! Didn't as much while I was painting with the alcohol markers (Shuttle Art - they smell so strong!) but during the touch-ups with pastels and white pen, it turned out quite to my liking. Was trying to do a painterly style with the markers but I still have trouble blending with the chisel tips. Thankfully the reference I used for this had those sharp non-blended edges so it was a bit less dissapointing. I do have a very limited palette so I couldn't match up to the colors or get a proper in between shades but I made do with the pastels. Another thing I noticed was that they tend to make the edges blurry-fuzzy and I didn't like that. Easily resolved by adding lineart but I did forget to add to his stem (I fixed it now) so you can see the fuzziness bit better there.
Thank you for adding all your issues you ran into while drawing this. I find it so cool to hear about other artists' thought processes and struggles with the process of creating art.. and the flaws they see in it... because, as a person who didn't draw this, I don't see any of those. I just see "oooOooooOoo~ prettttyyyy" o wo I totally assumed the chunky colors was a stylistic choice and I like them. My favorite part about this is the blue pops of color in the shirt portion. I didn't notice any fuzziness at all so that line art is totally working. I also like how your signature is one with this piece. It feels so professional. XD
Srry about the late reply! and thank you for the sweet message! =3 I totally get what you mean - I go the same way when I see others' art (and also evaluate sometimes so I can use some of the techniques they use) I like using other colors with grey, white to add a bit more interest, depth and character. It makes it less boring and dull. I'd have used a lighter blue but this was the only light blue marker i owned. so i was a bit nervous if it was too much but hearing that you liked it makes me feel very happy. thank you! ;w;
Hahaha I did this even when I joined 100 days in the past events. I look at it as an 'art diary' so I can be a bit more mindful and remember what I plan to improve on which to me is one of the purpose of participating in 100 day. It is a bit nerve-wrecking as others would read it and probs judge but i don't mind it as the community in 100 day is so nice and chill ;w; plus i hope my notes and tips might help others look at their art in a different view, improve or get ideas themselves. uwu
