The pink bird was still raging, and going on about someone named Noel who must have been their Tamer. " Woah, woah, cool it down a bit... let's talk this over and i'm sure we can be friends!!" Lief was still dodging green whirlwinds as he spoke. "We talked to Cho·Hakkaimon, we heard about your tamer....i'm really sorry." The words seemed to not sooth the Digimon as she continued to fire attacks. This was getting too close for comfort, he needed to do something to calm her down. "Pteromon, don't hurt her but we need to settle her down!!" Pteromon agreed and flew up into the air "Wiiiind Sliceeer!!!" Jayzen had aimed the attack so it would collide with the ground right in front of the pink bird causing her to trip end over end.
"Good job bud!" Lief hurried over to her side where he could now see that she had been crying while they were fighting. " Sorry about that.... are you ok?" The tamer put out a hand to pat the DIgimon's head. The bird did not swat him away this time and began crying even louder. Pteromn had made it to Lief's said at this point,"Gosh I didn't think I hit her that hard... i was aiming for the ground...." Lief reassured his friend, "I don't think these tears are from being attacked... I think she's dealing with something a whole lot deeper."
The little Digimon cried even louder as if in response to Lief's statement. Not knowing how she would respond Lief did the only thing he could think of, he picked her up off the ground and held her close like a father holding his toddler. "I've got you.... it's ok.... what you are feeling is completely fair..." Lief winced wondering if he had gone too far tensing up for what surely would be another attack. The attack however never came, and the body of the weeping Digimon slumped into Lief's body as she released her feelings. "Noeeellll... whhhyyyyy" The Digimon's cried slowly became quieter. until it was more of a sniffle, Lief was surprised that a program would feel so deeply for someone but he had to admit that he was growing more attached to Jayzen the more time they spent together. He patted her on the back and they all just sat in silence for a while.
After what seemed like an hour the Digimon had crawled out of Lief's lap and was now sitting across from him and Jayzen. "I... I am so sorry for attacking, I've been hoping that Noel would return but it seems like that may never happen... It's not any easy thing to accept.... It made me feel not wanted and i took that out on you guys...please forgive me." Lief reached out and put an hand on her shoulder. "You are fine, no one got hurt... I can't imagine going though that... I have a brother who was adopted and maybe it feels something like how he felt before then." A lightbulb clicked on for Lief as he was talking. "You know what if you want you could come with us! A Digimon adoption if you will and if one day Noel does come back they we will do everything we can to reunite the two of you!!"
The Digimon's expression changed for a moment as she thought through the words the tamer was saying to her. "I... I don't know, what if we are gone and she comes back tomorrow?? What if we miss her?" Lief smiled back, "It's ok, we won't force you to go if you don't want to, I just hate for someone to feel like they are lost and alone. The offer is out there, but the choice is yours!" The pink Digimon was thinking it over again before giving a determined look, "Hum... Ok, let's do it, from now on I will be on your team.... I'm Fawx the Biyomon by the way... what was your name again?" Lief smiled again and put out a hand in greeting, "Glad to hear it, I'm Lief and this little guy here is Jayzen the Pteromon! Welcome aboard!"
The three talk for a while and Fawx told the others about some of the adventures she a Noel had had although going into any real detail beyond where it was seemed to bring about tears again. Lief realized it was getting late and had to work the next day so he decided it was time to leave these two here and log out for the night. He told them goodnight and left them behind in the farm and pulled up the exit menu on his Vital Bracelet, thinking through all the adventures they might have tomorrow as the world around him Digitized away.
