Uzumati nodded. The statement made him almost worried for a moment, the concept of escorting someone somewhat making him feel like there was trouble behind it, but Asa had only been kind to him so surely it would be fine for them to go somewhere nearby. It wasn't as if his father-in-law's house was a prison! Right? At least he hoped it wasn't a prison of some sort. That would definitely be some major miscommunication there. So Uzumati patiently waited for Asa to gather his belongings before making his way outside of the room and walking outside to the hallway where a pair of boots waited for him by the entrance. After making yet another face, Uzumati started to tug them on. Boots at least he was more familiar with since he needed them in the colder months back in Tale but it did not mean he was comfortable in them.
The question though had him glance up from his lacings and the man pursed his lips thoughtfully. "Two. Valerian and Eujanie." He replied after a moment. "You?"

Unlike Uzumati’s laced boots, Asa’s soft soled boots were clearly meant for more internal wear. He had others; after all, he’d traveled from Zena to Jauhar over the course of a few months, but they were up in storage. Since he didn’t need the heavier footwear here, he tended to get by with the lightest possible garments he could.
“I have two as well. My oldest is Colm and his younger brother is Arden.” Asa reached for the door and took a halfstep outside on to the stoop simply to step out of the way so Uzumati could walk out. “You remind me of him. You’re very spirited and it’s refreshing, though from a father’s stand point it can be frustrating at times.”

A rare chuckle left Uzumati as he listened to Asa. "Eujanie is the same." He commented as he tugged at his clothing a final time and walked outside, the sunlight feeling refreshing compared to the dreary indoors. Uzumati immediately took a deep breath of fresh air before glancing back to Asa. If the iceling had been living here for a bit then surely he would know more about the local area, right? Uzumati tilted his head thoughtfully as he gestured for Asa to take the lead. He would tag along wherever the iceling wanted to go as long as it kept him out of the stuffy house for a bit...even if it meant wearing these frustrating clothes.

Asa couldn’t help the little laugh that slipped out. “Oh good, then I’m sure they’ll get along.” Or come to blows, though Asa was hoping Eujanie had more of her mother’s reservations to her than Arden had inherited his. The boy was quick witted and sharp as a blade, but so quick to anger. It was as if every bit of resentment that Ygraine pushed through and Asa locked away had melted into one, singular body.
Being outside was so much more refreshing than he’d realized. Of course they opened the window for him and Asa gazed out on the streets daily, but this…The Zenan closed his eyes for a moment to just relish the feeling. The way the wind tussled his hair, brushed his earrings against his neck…It was almost mystical in a way.
To be fair he had little ideas as to where he was going, but Asa knew enough to take them to a nice outlook nearby. It wasn’t far so they would be back just in time for the others and with plenty of benches along the way he wasn’t likely to get winded. “What is your game of choice back home, Uzumati? Or rather, what do you hunt the most? Do you have any stories? I’d love to hear them.”

Uzumati was simply enjoying the fresh air as they walked along when the barrage of questions hit him. The man blinked in surprise before letting out another soft chuckle. Maybe he would have to practice his words a lot this trip. He normally wasn't one to entertain so many questions but since Asa had helped him Uzumati would consider sharing maybe one or two answers with the iceling. He'd just have to wait and see how he felt when they reached their destination.
