Masae nodded to Yoshi in understanding. As much as Ryuu thought they did not get on Masae prefered his company to the rest of Ryuu's collection. He was well mannered, intelligent and had a temprement much like Masae's own. "If you wouldn't mind." Masae said with regards to the Parasol. Few haka would use such a polite turn of phrase to a Gehaka, however, as a council member's first husband in puplic Yoshi was on a par, if not higher in status to Masae. Demanding he hold the parasol would be like asking Ran to hold it.
Giving a small bow to Ran he gestured to Yoshi that they should continue in the direction of Ryuu and Enju.

Ryuu admired the orchids as Enju pointed them out and explained each one. Ryuu could never get over how lovely orchids were, something about them, so beautiful and varied in their personalities. Some were bold and brash, stepping out for the world to see, others kept to themselves. Such a sexual flower indeed.
Moving over to the flowers Enju had created Ryuu inhaled deeply. "Such beautiful orchids. You should come by my home sometime. I think you'd enjoy my garden." Gazing over the flowers Ryuu thought about his blood orchids at home, and how pleasant it would be to show them to someone who would truly appreciate them. "I especially like this one." He said, motioning to the white one. "like a bleeding angel...." he mumbled softly to himself...
He was about to continue on when he heard voices coming from the direction of the house. Peeking out from the orchid garden Ryuu smirked, happy to see Yoshi and Masae. "It would appear they've come for us."
There was another with them who could only be Ran. They were walking in his and Enju's direction, and so Ryuu carefully made his way out of the garden and down the narrow path towards them. But before leaving the garden, Ryuu turned to Enju. "Enju, I'm happy for you however I want you to know that Masae is a very dear person to me, and his happiness, and safety is of the utmost importance to me." It wasn't a threat, it was merely a statement. Ryuu was more than familiar with headstrong gehaka using a hakas lack of strength to their advantage. Not that Enju would do such a thing, but Ryuu wasn't taking any chances.
Halfway down the path Ryuu glanced back to make sure Enju was coming.
----------
"Not at all." Yoshi replied softly, and tightened his grip on the parasol, as he rested his other hand behind his back, and followed after Masae. Yoshi nodded to Ran as they passed him, then focused back on Masae and the path ahead.
"Feel free to lean on me. The way ahead seems somewhat unstable. I don't think I'd live another day if you fell." He grinned, his attention now fully on the path ahead. Then he saw Ryuu. "It seems we've been spotted." He announced, then whispered to Masae, "...by a beautiful devil no less..." He smirked, the faintest hint of red dappling his cheeks.

Enju stood quietly off to the side while Ryuu looked over his orchids. There were many more but weren't strong enough to be placed in the garden yet. A crooked smile itched at the sides of his mouth at hearing Ryuu's mumbled comment. Blood. Blood that was spurting like a geyser from the heart of the flower.
"I'd love to see your garden. I could even bring over one of my special orchids for you if you'd like," he said, his crisp tone relaying eagerness at the offer. He loved beautifying anyone's gardens if he had the chance to. Ran didn't much like him distributing flowers freely, but in return it had given him favor in society, the gifts upping his status, even by a meager bit.
Enju turned to see the three approaching. "So it seems." He waited a moment before strolling after Ryuu, only to stop and quickly drop his gaze. He reagrded the comment with interest, ears straightening curiously. "I'll...remember that," he said, a charming note in his voice, and continued after him.

Masae nodded and linked arms with Yoshi. Possibly a very shocking gesture. He rarely got so close to a Gehaka, prefering to make his way on his own. It was not that he thought he would trip on the path. More that he was nervous again and it wouldn't do to go flying flat onto his face in front of his future mother-in-law. Especially not one that seemed to be waiting for him to make a slip up of some kind.
He gave a snort at Yoshi's comment about Ryuu and shook his head. "Don't let him hear you say that. He already spends enough time in front of the mirror." The comment was lighthearted and helped ease Masae's worry about the coming situation.
As the two of them approached words seemed to leave him momentarily. grasping Yoshi's arm tighter he pulled himself together and smiled. "I was just complimenting your mother onthe beauty of your gardens Enju." He said smiling. "Though I believe most of the praise should go to you."

A little skip in his step Ryuu made his way down the path and stopped somewhere near Masae and Yoshi. Waiting for the rest of the group to join he idly twirled his parasol and admired the flowers around him. Looking up at Masae as he approached Ryuu had a grin on his face.
Whether it was the thought of finally having a husband (which he doubted..) or the fact that he'd gotten exactly what he wanted...again, Ryuu wasn't sure, but whichever one it was it was putting a rather large smile on Masae's face. or perhaps it was Yoshi. Ryuu shot him a glance, one eyebrow raised in a playfully questioning manner.
Smiling he turned to Ran. "You have a lovely home Arehoudai-san. Your gardens in particular are quite overwhelming. Are you sure you'll be able to part with Enju? To sever the ties so to speak?" Last thing Ryuu wanted around his house was a whiny mother checking up on his son constantly.
----------
Yoshi nodded in response, and smiled. It was true...Ryuu spent far too much time in front of the mirror. Taking a moment he gazed across the gardens, admiring the various blossoms. He too was partial to orchids, but all flowers really were attractive, something about their happy faces.
Feeling Masae's grip on his arm tighten Yoshi too flexed his arm, hopefully an unobvious sign that he was there should Masae need him. As Masae initiated conversation with Ran Yoshi glanced at the approaching Ryuu. A lighthearted smile crossed his lips just as quickly as it left. Ryuu was used to him be stern, collected, calm, regarding his work and Ryuu in a detached manner, but really Yoshi was utterly and hopelessly head over heels for Ryuu. But life was good the way it was, and he wasn't about to ruin it. His first duty was to obey and respect Ryuu's wishes....which the glare he was getting from Ryuu was telling him, was to pay attention to Masae...

Enju had a brisk but torpid pace, following along behind Ryuu silently. He was somewhat nervous about what was going on. He was finally going to be married off to a haka. He'd hoped Ran had worked out when he could come visit his gardens. Most of his family would handle taking care of them but he wanted to look over it himself, add new flowers and tend to the ones he had made.
They were like his children in a sense. He eyed his mother, Masae and a gehaka escorting him. He bowed to Masae, returning the smile with a sharp grin. "What can I say, I take pride in my work," he said, a hint of levity in his tone even those his eyes conveyed more serious thoughts. Too many questions were running through his head that they were starting to cancel eachother out.
---
Ran turned to Ryuu, eyes seemingly closed as he offered a flattered smirk. "Thank you, Tsukino-san, I'm glad they please you. Once the marriage is final I am done with him. He can come see me whenever he is allowed but I will happily let him be, I have many more things to take care of now he will be gone," he said softly but bluntly, finality in his tone as he shifted his weight, watching the pair from the corner of his eye. What he said was true, he had another son, a haka, also in need of much attention, and now that his jewel was gone he could focus on the next heir of the Arehoudai clan. He had a feeling Enju would react stupidly to the engagement, but he hoped he was wrong.

Masae smiled at the pair of them and realeased his arm from Yoshi. It seemed that it was time. His expresion returning to its business like manner he nodded to Yoshi signalling that he wanted the first bracer.
"Enju." He bagan as he held his hand out for the bracer. "Your mother and I have discussed the arrangements. In three days we shall be married. Is this really what you want?" He knew he shouldn't give him a choice. Maybe a small part of him was half hoping he might say no.

Enju couldn't tell if he was nervous or upset or excited or happy. It was all so strange to just suddenly be passed off to another haka of which he knew little about. Enju's expression relayed little of what he was thinking, instead his eyes dropped to ground, a small faux smile on his face.
His eyes suddenly took on an air of confusion, before nodding briskly, a sheepish grin on his face. "I'd...like nothing more." This feeling he was experiencing was more or less worrying him but he'd already made his desicion and this was what had to happen. Masae wasn't so bad anyway, he was quite a dream haka but just the thought of not living in his home with his garden was overwhelming.

(sorry guys. >__< )
Ryuu nodded at Ran's response. It was logical and detached, exactly what he'd expected, but he wasn't so sure Enju was expecting it...Taking a step back he watched the proceedings, so glad it wasn't him aquiring a new husband.
----------
Yoshi, bowed and stepped forward, offering up the first bracer to Masae. Once Masae had taken it, he stepped back, glanced over at Enju and smiled. He knew the feeling all too well, being passed from the familiar to the extraordinarily strange. Yoshi wasn't the type to take a gehaka under his wing, but he felt strangely sympathetic towards Enju. He chuckled softly, did he know what he was getting himself into? Probably not, but despite appearances, and reputation Masae and Ryuu were good people, cranky, and narcasisstic, but good.

Masae took the bracer from Yoshi and looked at it a little. Hwe had never bothered to actually take a proper look. Like everything in the Ametani family it was elegant and simple. The only design being the family seal and a few swirled patterns in the leather.
He took a deep breath and took Enju's wrist gently in his hand. This was the first time he had touched the gehaka, his arm was warm, it amused Masae a little that their skin was almost of the same pale tone. Not what was usually expected. Placing the bracer on his wrist he moved to tighten the laces. Not too tight he hoped.
"There." He said. A weak smile pulling at the corner of his mouth. "I shall see you again in three days and we shall be married." Masae said with a short nod and stepped back. "Thank you for your time and understanding Arehoudai-san." He continued nodding to Ran. "We shall leave you in peace now."

Enju could feel his face heat up a bit, not because of embrassment or shyness, but more because as soon as he put this on he was taken. He'd seen and known plenty of engaged gehaka and he'd seen how they acted. Usually nervous, suprised and worried but he'd never thought he'd react the same.
Even though he was feeling it, he carefully masked his feelings with a worried grin. He breathed in sharply but silently as Masae took his wrist and laced up the bracer. It was a beautiful sight, simple and refined. He released a breath, eyes rising up for a moment to Masae's but then down to the ground as he nodded respectively.
---
Ran gave a sultry grin to Ryuu, his lip curling in slight annoyance. He watched Masae and Enju blankly, a common expression on his face. His face somehow always held a serious and frosty coldness to it. It was if he was predicting something bad to happen. When Masae approached him, his expression lightened, brows drawn up as the smallest of smiles twitched at the corners of his mouth.
"Please do visit again when you can, I will see you in three day?"
