With her great-grandmother being one of the most infamous seafaring women known to history, Niamh was already born in the leaping shadow of one of the greats. Her father was a ruthless tactician of a man, having rebelled against the crown before it was cool. Her mother was just as stubborn as him, having sailed alongside him. However, with the coming of their first child━Niamh's elder brother Ciaran━her life aboard ships fighting the Brits were over. Only a year after Ciaran was born, Niamh was on her way into this world. Growing up on the shorelines of lush Ireland, Niamh loved every bit of her childhood. Fighting with the local children, eating fresh honey by the spoonful, listening to daring tales of the Ní Mháille family's exploits. There was nothing to complain about in her eyes. Then her brother was allowed to fight in the rebellion and she was forced to stay home. The anger and spite in the young girl had no bounds. While her brother was fighting, she was being told she would have to find a male suitor soon in the village so she could carry on the family name. Not being one for hypocrisy, Niamh fled in the middle of the night. Tucked away on a small sailing boat, she made it as far as the coast of Spain before the weather took a turn for the worse. Capsized and prepared to accept a grizzly fate at sea, she was fortunate enough to be found by the Moonlight Wolf in the dead of night. In exchange for saving her life, Niamh unnecessarily vowed her life to the captain and crew. A year has passed since she joined, and the young girl has already begun to feel at home on the vessel. When she isn't at work, she's sharing fascinating Gaelic folklore with her mates, as well as spreading the infamous name of Ní Mháille to anyone willing to hear it. Personality: Young, stubborn, and ready for a fight with even anyone who declares themselves a god, Niamh has quite the mouth on her. It's either her way or the plank in her eyes, even if she's the one who will have to walk. Independent as one can be for her age, she's willing to work hard and play harder to live the romanticized life at sea she had pictured since her youth. Mixed with her stubborn personality, however, is a compassionate heart of gold. Sticking up for those that aren't able to stick up for themselves. While she cares little for seeking power or monetary items, a good adventure means more to her than the promises of safety. In her eyes, a good story will last longer than any golden treasure. This wanderlust of hers can be infectious, as well as her enthusiasm for storytelling. She has a tendency to dictate moods and conversations alike, which is a powerful ability to have at her age. If she's furious, the crew may feel just as angry as her, or for the more timid personalities feel more anxious about emotionally amped situations. If she's happy, however, she will do everything in her power to infect everyone with at the very least contentment with the current situation. Clearly an emotionally driven young woman, Niamh can be a little dense or naive to logical matters. Even if smart tactical officers run in the family, she was not so lucky in the brains department. While, like many others in her immediate family, she was formally educated, she rarely stuck around for lessons. The only things she did bother to learn was the power of a captivating story. While she is not one known for patience, when it comes to combat, Niamh comes to a blazing focus. Her archery skills have been unmatched in her own clan, and out on the sea she has found few challengers who still use arrows. Most would prefer the still rocky technicals of a gun, where ammo can easily blow in the wind. She prefers the arrow due to its versatility in combat and strength in the wind. Crush: Nobody and everybody at the same exact time Other: tab ➸ She got herself and the crew but mostly herself a cat in her travels she named Rys tab ➸ She will collect any fancy earring jewelry the crew comes across
