FaereFae I'm currently introducing myself to Studio Ghibli, starting with Spirited Away, which ... so far is a bit of a mind trip? studio ghibli!! yeah, spirited away was a mind trip. Howl's moving castle is my fav!

irresistibly natural FaereFae I'm currently introducing myself to Studio Ghibli, starting with Spirited Away, which ... so far is a bit of a mind trip? studio ghibli!! yeah, spirited away was a mind trip. Howl's moving castle is my fav! I haven't gotten that far, I followed Spirited Away with Princess Mononoke, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Totoro. Basically watching the stuff I've heard of. I may move on to Evangelion next?

I may move on to Evangelion next? those are all good ones as well, though i have to say spirited away seems the most mind trip one that i can think of. Kiki's was a good one too

Howl's, Kiki and Totoro are my top ones but i like many of them.

Howl's, Kiki and Totoro are my top ones but i like many of them. The latest one was Only Yesterday, cause I'm sick with a cold, and I wanted calm and soothing lol. I think one of the interesting differences here is they don't limit themselves to classic 4 act good guy/bad guy fairy tale narratives. Its a huge change for me.

Its a huge change for me. oh no, i hope its not a super bad cold. Hope you get well soon i remember watching Totoro, kiki and howl's for the first time and was like this is not a straight path story. and i like how the main character is not a someone perfect and doesn't become perfect

Not needing that trope to showcase humanity is another point in its favor. Its a whole new world of storytelling really, that I didn't know existed smile
