▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁✧ XXPERS㊉NAL IN₣㊉RMAŦI㊉N XXXX Personality ⁝⁝ XXXXX ✦⋰⋰ Yarishi can certainly be called a stern individual, always coming off as serious and no-nonsense. This often makes him hard to approach, his authoritative and disciplined demeanor making it seem as though he’d give any he’d interact with a hard time on any flaw he could spot. His sternness is related to his sense of self-discipline, being unwilling to allow his emotions to become a hindrance to himself in any scenario. Though he has nothing against emotions, or allowing them to influence oneself, he simplys believes one should not allow their emotions to put them in a disadvantage, otherwise the potential for overcoming a challenge through one’s passion will drop considerably, a brave soul betting their all on surpassing their limits turning into a fool who allowed themselves to become one. As such, he believes that there are times for emotions to be allowed to run rampant, and times where they must be controlled. His stoicism is also fairly clear, displaying himself as a mostly quiet man who shows hardly any emotion, always wearing a fairly stoney face. Indeed, it can be quite difficult to get a certain emotional response out of Yarishi, his usual stoic expression almost never fading. Even in a situation that would normally pull an intense emotion or expression out of someone, Yarishi will hardly ever waver, appearing to be too “tough” to be fazed by such scenarios. Indeed this tough stoicism could be described as him being “hardboiled,” being too tough for sentimentalism and showing to be unphased by such things, not caring for sentimental stories or excuses for someone’s actions, not giving out pity to others and judging them solely by their character and actions, often dealing with them accordingly. It is thanks to this seemingly tough and stern nature that Yarishi can be very blunt with individuals, not holding anything back when giving out his opinion on them. Even if it’s hurtful or may make a negative opinion of him, he will always be blunt over people and situations. To him, holding back or tip toeing around a situation would do nothing more than make things worse, believing that being blunt will keep others alert rather than relax in a dire scenario. Of course his bluntness can lead to him openly insulting someone, never necessarily doing it out of hate, but simply calling them out for what they are.
Despite how cold he seems to be, Yarishi is actually quite caring towards others; though he may not show it, he can feel concern, especially for those he considers to be close to him. As his stoicism and “hardboiled” nature often prevents him openly showing concern, he will rather opt for indirect approaches, giving out advice or a task to someone that may lead to them feeling more confident about an issue, and overall become comforted. Sometimes he can be fairly drastic in this method of comfort, suddenly turning into a villain or a punching bag for them to unleash their frustrations on and reach a conclusion that will bring them clarity. While he will not openly comfort someone or show them that his methods are a way for him to comfort them, he will challenge their resolve, often through the aforementioned drastic means, forcing their eyes open to a solution or feeling of growth when they may be unable to, checking if they themselves can continue whatever journey they may have put themselves on. He will continue to push them toward a resolution that benefits them, even if he has to become cruel and callous to their feelings and hardships, not showing them an ounce of pity. This is because he truly does believe in the potential within others, wanting to see them reach it and become even greater from it; while he may not go about it in the warmest of ways, he will simply not allow someone, especially someone dear to him, quit on themselves when their potential for growth in character, heart, and strength is limitless. He does believe in the power behind such things as comradery, but is convinced that the kind of friendship that has a comrade rushing to their friend’s side whenever they struggle is foolheartedly, that true friendship promotes growth in each other, and holds a firm belief in their potential and ability to overcome a challenge. Of course, if things are truly dire, Yarishi will rush to his ally’s aid, immediately doing so. In order to properly assess the best way to achieve his method of comfort, Yarishi has become fairly observant, making good use of his perception to notice and spot any flaws or changes in a person’s emotions or overall character. Once he notices a potential flaw, Yarishi will begin to observe and prod at this fault as he gains a better understanding of it, often silently watching the individual from a distance. He will begin to grade and evaluate just how bad their fault or current state of duress is, and once he has accurately gauged it, he will begin to make steps towards helping them in his own way. It is because he can’t risk being soft on someone that he can be very critical of their fault, showing to be very adverse to such a thing, especially if said fault or duress is influencing them in extreme, and potentially dangerous ways. Just as he is blunt, his criticism shows no signs of going easy on someone, always being tough on them and even tougher depending on just how bad of a situation the person is in. He will be straightforward with them on how much he disapproves, making his disappointment clear with them. But once again, this is because he is a caring individual, and does feel pain when he sees someone he cares about suffer, even more so if he cannot do anything about it.
If there is one thing someone will quickly notice, it’s that Yarishi can be very gutsy, showing bravery likened to that of a hero. Referring to it as “Guts,” Yarishi’s courage never seems to waver, always giving him a will that allows him to push him head first into challenges that would make others cower and give him. He’s gutsy enough to openly call out and otherwise insult people in a higher position of power than his own, it allows him to survive moments of pain and despair, and face an adversary that could be considered hopeless. To Yarishi, Guts is something that all of mankind, and even animals, have, it is something that can grow and be lit ablaze to heat up one’s potential and allow them to overcome challenges they at some point would consider hopeless. It is because of this that Yarishi will often push others when they may lose hope, knowing that they can surpass their limits and turn their situation into something they can grow from. Indeed, this strong belief in potential can make Yarishi fairly ardent in most situations, showing to be passionate in his hopes in others, telling them to power through their hardship with hard work and guts, saying so with fire in his voice and heart. Oftentimes during combat, his passion can even show him letting out passionate phrases, speeches, and even battle cries, allowing his passion to help fuel his spirit and actions. If there is another thing he admires, other than guts, it’s diligence, acting on this admiration by being diligent himself. Indeed, once Yarishi begins to work on something, he will always put his whole effort behind it as though he was putting his life at stake on completing it. Even when he puts his full effort into something, there is no doubt he will try to exceed his limits during any given task, attempting to go above and beyond with his performance and success. It is because of this that Yarishi will often jump at the chance to compete against someone who may be better than him at something. This is not a love for competition, but rather the belief that hard struggles will always pave a way forward to growth, that taking the easier path is never the answer, but rather the thorny and dangerous path is the better of the two. He will always see through what he started, never showing much hesitation as he believes it would be cowardly to do so. He always suggests and promotes diligence to others, usually criticizing those who are so eager to do things easy, when they may not achieve any growth from it.
Unfortunately, as supportive as he appears to be, Yarishi is fairly aloof, almost to a mysterious degree as he only says what he believes to be necessary, that includes openly criticizing someone, answering a question, or suggesting a path that will give his group the most rewarding success. He often will keep his own company, keeping a distance away from groups he may be involved with while also keeping an open ear for anything he may disagree with. Yarishi will usually brush off invitations to social gatherings or activities that are not mandatory or do not align with his interests, claiming to not be suited for such things, of course he will go if someone he deeply cares about may find themselves less than optimal without his presence there, not wanting to be a subject distress. This aloofness as well makes him fairly dishonest about himself, never letting on that something may be causing him to suffer in some way or another. Unless it may take his life or his confidence in any of his values, Yarishi simply will not speak up about whatever may ail him. This stubborn lack of confiding in others is a flaw Yarishi himself is very aware of, but he simply won’t fix it, as he would rather put his energy into helping others before helping himself. Though reckless, he is very adamant about this, refusing to allow others to worry about him when there are larger things done, especially when someone’s life may be on the line. As such he will, he will feign wellness even when he is clearly in a terrible condition. It is along with this that he tends to over strain himself, taking on much more than he should, even more so when the situation is dire. He believes that he needs to do this in order to make his words and actions more believable, that if he himself doesn’t try to overcome his limits, no one will take his encouragements to do so seriously. He has no interest in being a source of inspiration or courage in others, as he would rather they themselves serve that role for each other and themselves, but rather wants to be living proof of the power of guts, hard work, and potential. Even if he’s bloodied and at death’s door, Yarishi will continue to push and overburden himself so that others will not have to do the latter themselves, that his role in life is to be a pillar that will ever support his comrades.

XXXX Biography ⁝⁝ XXXXX ✦⋰⋰ Born a part of the main branch of the Momobashi clan, Yarishii was a child with great expectations tied to him since his birth. As any child of the Momobashi, his body was trained in order to handle the traits he had inherited from his clan, to be able to use them to their full extent. Being the grandchild of the clan elder, Yarishii was especially put through rigorous training, expecting to succeed his grandfather when his father couldn’t. Yarishii welcomed the challenge, not wanting to be pampered because of his birth. The effort he put into his body’s conditioning was considerable, doing his best to work past his peers and the notion he may receive special treatment. During his upbringing, Yarishii would have a formative experience which took the form of a middle aged man who wielded a spear. He was a retired shinobi of the leaf, one who made a name for himself with his soujutsu. At first, Yarishii had dismissed him, questioning his ability as a shinobi if he utilized a spear. In response to this, the retired shinobi challenged Yarishii to a fight; not wanting to back down from a challenge, the child accepted, sure he would win because of Gentle Shade. However, Yarishii would be beaten, to the point of being bruised and somewhat bloodied, the jonin having not held back despite the age difference between them. It would be after this that Yarishii would hound the jonin every day, asking him to teach him how to use a spear as he did, but every attempt would be met with another beating. But no matter how many beatings Yarishii was given, the jonin would eventually cave, teaching Yarishii how to wield a spear with the style he utilized. Yarishii would learn this style along with the Gentle Shade, quickly learning how to incorporate both into a single style.
As Yarishii would begin to advance in his skill with the spear, the retired jonin would show Yarishii just how he remained effective as a shinobi while using a spear. The fact was that the jonin’s spear was a trick spear, it was composed of multiple linked sections that could uncoupled, allowing it to have a greater range of motion than any other polearm. Of course the jonin would have a trick spear made for Yarishii to use, telling him to practice with it daily until he mastered how to maneuver it, on his own. Yarishii’s grandfather unfortunately would discover Yarishii’s practice with the peculiar spear and was outraged by it, demanding his grandson tell him who had given him such a weapon. Of course the child answered, which made the grandfather fly into a rage, forbidding Yarishii from ever seeing him again. When asked why, the grandfather explained this man had brought great shame to the Momobashi, not only was he a b*****d of the furthest family branch, but he had defeated Yarishii’s father on multiple occasions despite the gap in their Gentle Shade. This shame is what would push Yarishii’s father to the brink, making him reckless in almost every mission until it would eventually cost him his life. It was because of this that Jonin would be casted out from the clan and was forbidden to ever return to its grounds. The grandfather expected sympathy, hatred even, from his grandson in that the former Momobashi cost his father his life, but rather, his mind wasn’t changed at all, instead being more dead set on learning from the jonin. This infuriated the elder further, unable to believe that his grandson would be so defiant. Unfortunately, as his son was an only child and Yarishii was an only child as well, he could not very well take the right of leading the clan one day away from his grandson, and he refused to hand it over to his sister’s branch. So, Yarishii would be able to go on to learn from his teacher, but it would be under mysterious circumstances that his master died, the potential murder never being solved. However, while some would regard it as a simple accident, Yarishii knew very well it his was his grandfather, and it would be this action that would set Yarishii on the path of mastering his soujutsu, succeed his grandfather, and then expose him for the murder.

▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁✧ XXC㊉MBAŦ IN₣㊉RMAŦI㊉N XXXX Special Ability ⁝⁝ XXXXX ✦⋰⋰Thanks to selective breeding, the Outcast marrying himself to a woman with a similarly developed SMA, and doing the same with his children with suitors with the same brain development or instincts, members of the Momobashi clan have what can be considered a super humanly developed Supplementary Motor Area and a very strong instinct toward efficient movement and body acceleration. As such, they can perform any action, task, move or attack with their body moving as a whole, their SMA and instincts making this possible. Normally, when moving, one body part, such as the foot, moves first and the rest of the body follows. With this efficiency, when one body part acts, instead of following, the whole body moves as well at the same time, making the body move more in unison and less sluggish. This can even happen when the body changes its motion, thus allowing for great movements or accelerations to be made with very little force and effort. With these, the user is capable of not only super humanly efficient movement and body acceleration, along with being able to utilize more internal force, but a Hiden where their physical movements become unnaturally soft and gentle on command. Though it does not sound necessarily threatening nor a worthwhile ability, the fact is that there are effective applications to this ability. As the user’s movements have become amazingly gentle, they effectively become noiseless, not generating a single sound when moving, even when walking along a sensitive and noisy floor, their gentle steps simply not causing a bit of disturbance that would create a noise, as though they were floating along the surface. With these soundlessly gentle movements, the user is able to sneak about without being detected, allowing them to reap the benefits of such stealth as even their presence and chakra seems to be too gentle to notice. To add more testament to their soft movements, not even the likes of thin ice or other brittle materials seems to register their physical contact when the intent is to not disturb it, in some cases, even living things seem to fail to realize the user has made physical contact with them, even when the intent is to deal damage. Interestingly enough, where this ability may lack in power and external force, it makes up in efficiency and internal force. Indeed, it is thanks to this force brought about by efficient internal energy that even a soft punch by the user not only has enough internal force to be considered a knockout blow, but efficient body movement and acceleration also allows the user to attack swiftly, their movements requiring less time to reach their mark thanks to the instinctual efficient movements. In fact, thanks to the gentle movements, more often than not an opponent will fail to realize they have even been hit by the user, their body only registering the internal force and pain brought about by it, causing confusion on how they received damage. It’d be somewhat accurate to call the user a living feather when the Hiden is in use, yet at the same time it is not accurate, the user does not become weightless or can suddenly float, their bodily movements are simply unnaturally soft and gentle, there is still weight behind their attacks and movements, but it is simply the degree of gentleness of their movements that make it appear as though they may be weightless. However it is because of this supernatural gentleness that the user is nearly incapable of generating enough external energy that could be considered advantageous in most situations, such moves as grapples and submissions holds as well prove to be ineffective, forcing the user to rely on strikes and counters that utilize either their internal energy, or the own opponent's against themselves, in the form of counters.

XXXX Fighting Styles ⁝⁝ XXXXX ✦⋰⋰Gentle Shade (Fighting Style): The main style that is often employed with this however features explosive, short-range power that focuses on delivering powerful strikes while moving agilely with their gently efficient movements. By disciplining himself and learning how to redirecting his strength in a more positive way, the founder of the clan learned a more efficient way to enforce his weight behind attacks without sacrificing agility and maneuverability, actually finding ways to add unto them by incorporating a style of footwork for him to navigate with, rather than simply moving around blindly at random. The style encompasses the majority of one's strength through the palms of their hands and knuckles while also focusing on delivering consecutive attacks come from all parts of the body in order to mount attacks at high, mid, and low levels of the body.
Considering that a Momobashi will apply their efficient body movement and acceleration to speed themselves up, with releasing internal energy from their feet for the burst of extra force, increasing the force and pressure of his blows to add tremendous weight. All techniques are executed with a short power, developed through training. The style focuses on infighting, entering from a longer range with a distinctive charging step. The essence of fighting with Gentle Shade lies in power-issuing methods, particularly explosive power. The style contains six types of jin, eight different ways to hit and several principles of power usage. Most of Gentle Shade's striking techniques utilize a one-hit push-strike method from very close range in order to transfer the bulk of the damage through the momentary acceleration that travels up from his waist and to the limb, further magnified by a charging step.
Way of the Gentle Moon Spear: A form of spear fighting created by combining his clan's fighting style, a certain spear style he had learned from a mentor, and the function of his trick spear, Yarishi's personal fighting style incorporates methods from both while getting the best use out of his Flowing Spear. To start with, one of the most interesting and most deadly types of yari is the kuda-yari, or "tube- spear." The kuda-yari is a spear that is used by sliding the shaft (e) through a kuda, a metal tube or pipe. This is the primary spear of the Owari Kan Ryu tradition of sojutsu. The essence of the kuda-yari of Owari Kan Ryu is in the technique of using the kuda to fully thrust out and instantly withdraw the spear with great control. Here, the secret principle, Engetsu, or "Crescent Moon", is a vital component. Normally, when thrusting with a spear, the shaft and point will go more or less in a straight line to the target. However, in thrusting the Kan Ryu kuda-yari, the kuda and shaft are manipulated in a manner that causes the spear point to enter the target while twirling in a circle with a diameter of about six inches. The twirling of the yari point creates an intense striking power and concentrated destructive force, resulting in a gaping wound. This is the secret principle of Engetsu that is behind the deadly effect of Kan Ryu sojutsu.
The importance of attaining the Engetsu skill cannot be understated. During a normal training session, the skill of controlling the spear's slide through the kuda to achieve the twirling effect is continuously practiced without rest for ten minutes at a time. This is an exhausting practice considering the length and weight of the pole weapon. One of the main advantages the kuda provides is greater thrusting speed. This is primarily due the decreased friction in sliding through the kuda as versus sliding the wooden shaft through the bare hand. Aside from greater thrusting speed, another advantage with the kuda is extended thrusting range. The more usual method for using the Japanese spear is to thrust with the rear hand locking onto the hip or side of the body at the full extension of the thrust. This allows both great force- transfer in the thrust, and a greater control over the spear shaft in recovering from either a thrust or from a strong block or deflection of one's spear. However, as a result of locking the rear hand on the body, the actual thrusting distance is limited to two-to-three feet. This is because the reach of the spear is limited to the forward movement of the hip. When using the kuda, however, the spearman can safely thrust with the rear hand going all the way up to the lead hand. This can increase the thrusting distance as much as four or five feet further, as the hip is able to travel further without the rear hand locked to it. Because the kuda allows greater speed in thrusting and withdrawing, control of the shaft can be effectively maintained throughout the thrusting range.
With this style in mind, Yarishi incorporates the gentle and efficient body movements and acceleration into the style, as well as Gentle Shade's striking methods. Yarishi's skill with the spear is said to be rather sophisticated when compared to other more "traditional" forms of sōjutsu, Yarishi effectively merging multiple seemingly separate fighting styles into one. Thanks to the Flowing Spear being a multi-sectioned spear, the length of his weapon grants him the ability to attack from afar when compared to other non-projectile weapons while often simultaneously swiftly closing the distance between himself and his target thanks to the length of his weapon and his speed; for a defensive maneuver, Yarishi is capable of spinning the Flowing Spear around in order to deflect all sorts of projectiles. As the style requires knowing the ins and outs of his weapon's strengths and limitations, Yarishi is capable of making the best usage of its attributes in the fields of war in order to keep a near-constant advantage when fighting, closing in on his enemy with bursts of speed granted by his efficient movements and body acceleration, and then putting a fair amount of space between them while his opponent can't take the same advantages, effectively leaving them slightly helpless in the face of his polearm; thanks to his complete knowledge of how the Flowing Spear functions in any and every situation, Yarishi defies the notion that charging in close with a lengthy weapon is dangerous while keeping the natural length advantage of a spear over a sword. With the Flowing Spear, the Kan Ryu Style, and Gentle Shade, Yarishi focuses on being aggressive yet gentle, fast-paced and efficient against single opponents, characterized by footwork, spear thrusts and swings, and hand-to-hand, both for attack and defense, with Yarishi unleashing fast, powerful strikes from multiple directions; he is capable of using his speed and efficient movements for precise attacks. He prefers to wield his Flowing Spear with his left hand, leaving the other hand free when not incorporating the Engetsu thrusts or his Flowing Spear's trick function, using it for punches and palm strikes from which he will release internal energy. What should be noted is that Yarishi is ambidextrous, meaning that he can effectively utilize either of his hands which are gripping his spear predominantly and still retain a similar level of strength and ability. Often times, he will utilize Gentle Shade to send his internal energy and explosive power through his Flowing Spear just as he is about to thrust the spear point into the target or swing the pole into them, transferring it through the polearm and into the target in order to amplify the damage and add internal damage on top of the external. Further more, whenever he needs to strike a target when they're out of range or his spear needs to attack his opponent from a different angle, Yarishi will often uncouple the sections of the Flowing Spear in order to do, making it suddenly extend or maneuver in a sudden way to reach the target. By utilizing the thrusting method of the Kan Ryu, Yarishi can extend the reach even further by two or three feet more. He as well can utilize the Flowing Spear like a whip simply by swinging it by its bottom section, flailing and lashing at the target with the pole, or lacerating them with the spear head. It should also be noted that the trick function can even allow Yarishi to defeat the weakness of someone closing in on a spear wielder, simply by uncoupling the sections and manipulating the Flowing Spear to enter the opponent's range, or by grabbing the section which the spear head rests on, using the multi-sectioned polearm like a kusarigama or a dagger.
