Certainly an interesting place… seemed this might’ve been a town at some point in the past that had long since been abandoned and left to slowly rot over the years. Really made one wonder what might’ve happened here to have caused a place like this to be deserted in the first place… Of course, she wasn’t here to ogle at the sights and ponder on ancient history, there were Wishing Stars around here that were waiting to be found. ”Help me look around here, Soho,” she said, sending out the Zorua, ”There’s a bounty out for these Wishing Stars, there should be one around here from what I’ve read on zee event flyer.” She held out one of the stars they’d already collected to show him, at least so he was on the same page and knew what exactly to look for. The Zorua gazed curiously at the glowing purple rock in her hand, sniffing at it and making sure to take in every detail of it before she pocketed it again. With a nod and a wink of his golden eye, the little fox grinned as the air around him shimmered a bit before he disappeared from sight completely. Now invisible, Soho scampered off to start his search, there was a lot of ground to cover but hopefully he could find that star in due time.】✧✧

✧✧【Managing to find a low section of the ruined walls that he was able to climb onto easily enough, Soho surveyed the general area from his perch to get a good idea of just how far he might need to look to find this thing. And jeez… Yeah this place was actually pretty damn huge. If they were offering rewards for these star thingies he would sure as hell hope it was worth it, but the sooner he got started on looking for them the sooner they could get going to find more. He eyed some of the spots he could see where large patches of grass were growing, nature slowly starting to reclaim the area around the remnants of the ruined structures. He wasn’t sure what the Pokemon around here were like in terms of strength, he could see some Pawniards, Rufflets, and Togedemaru walking around in the tall grass which certainly didn’t seem all that strong. But at the same time, he noted other Pokemon like Hippowdon and Drapion hanging around on the cliffsides that were sure to be much stronger, far too powerful for him to be able to handle on his own. Yeah… probably for the best he stay invisible for this, because those guys are damn scary and he wanted absolutely zero involvement in any of that.】✧✧

✧✧【Finishing up his cursory evaluation of the general area and picking out a few choice spots that could be worth checking out, something sparkling in the sunlight on the ledge below his perch caught Soho’s eye. Curious, he leapt down to see what it was, finding it to not be a purple and red star thing but a shimmering heart-shaped scale that he recognized as one of those items trainers used to teach their Pokemon strong moves. Not exactly the most exciting discovery, but still useful nonetheless! He easily crushed the little scale into a fine powdery dust under his paw, enjoying the surge of power that rushed through his body as knowledge of a new, much stronger move came to mind. Maybe it’ll be useful, maybe it won’t… Glancing around, Soho figured he’d try to avoid trapping himself in any area where ladders were the only way to get out since he wouldn’t be able to use those easily while still staying invisible. Seeing a nearby ledge he could jump over to, though, the Zorua was more than happy to take that route as he easily cleared it. He’d spent most of his life in the Lostlorn Forest after all, being able to parkour his way through a place like this would be a piece of cake! Granted climbing rocks, stone walls, and cliffs was certainly quite different from trees, but he trusted his smarts and instincts enough to be able to confidently maneuver his way around. At least he hoped so...】✧✧

✧✧【A good few minutes of climbing rocks and carefully scaling rocks later, Soho found himself standing on a much higher ledge overlooking more or less the entirety of the area. And truth be told, this place was certainly a LOT larger than he’d initially thought as the ruins seemed to sprawl out for yards and yards and yards. Well, hopefully he wouldn’t have to go quite that far to find this star thingamajig. Sudden movement from off in the distance caught his eye, and he saw some sort of round black Pokemon covered in what looked like spiky red and yellow… armor or something similar to it emerge from a small cave, marching along on the ground. He wasn’t sure what it was, having never seen a Pokemon like this before… and it only got even stranger when another Pokemon just like it popped out of the cave behind the first one. Then another, and another, and another, until there were six of them in total. Were they all different Pokemon? It seemed easy to think that… but they all looked very similar to one another even down to the armor. Even their movement, the way they marched along behind one another were completely in sync… There was no way they could ALL be the same Pokemon, right?
Either way there was no way he was going anywhere near that thing, or things, whatever they actually were, which was probably for the better given how strong the Pokemon around here surely were. In spite of himself, however, he kept watching the odd group of Pokemon walking along in a single file line together until they disappeared one by one, likely into another tunnel that led to Arceus knows where. Shaking his head, Soho turned his attention back to the task at hand as he searched along the section of cliff here for anything like what Eveline had showed him. There! Wedged partially into a crevice in the rocks was a knobbly purple thing that gave off a weird red glow, exactly like what he was supposed to be looking for. It took a bit more work than he thought as he spent a couple minutes trying to get a secure hold on the star thing with his teeth, and a minute or two more of carefully wiggling it to get it loose enough for him to pull out. Holding on tightly to the odd purple rock, Soho carefully made his way back over to Eveline, dropping his invisibility illusion once he found her to show off his finding. ”Yes, that’s exactly it,” the redhead confirmed with a small smile, taking the star and stowing it away with the rest and giving the Zorua a couple of gentle pats in thanks, ”Nicely done, Soho~” Feeling proud of himself, the illusion fox was more than happy to return to his ball for now, needing a bit to cool down after all the jumping and running around he did. Six stars down, only one more left to go before they got all the ones around here in Galar.】✧✧

Hikaru hopped atop Shiisa, who bent down so they could both get on easier. And when she felt that both of them were up she straightened. Oof, they were a bit heavy, even though they weren't too big. Must be the metal in their bodies! Shiisa lifted one paw at a time to test it out. She'd been running between Arezu's treehouse and the human city every day so she was plenty strong enough to carry them.
Arezu placed her hands on the horn of her saddle, arms to either side of Ai. "Let's go, Kouvu!" She squeezed a bit with her knees, and then Kouvu took off, raising in the air with powerful flaps of his wings. He was already moving forward, and Shiisa immediately took off after him, leaping into a run.

Arezu, meanwhile, was taking in the sights from above. Up here, she could see the walls of Motostoke, and even parts of the city inside. This place was really like nothing she'd ever seen before. It reminded her of Kalos, in a way, but it was still different in a way she couldn't really describe. Maybe the wide-open, rolling fields? At least she was able to enjoy it, having finally gotten somewhat used to flying in the months since she'd gotten Kouvu his saddle.
From up here, Arezu could also tell that if they wanted to get to the ruins she saw in the distance, Shiisa and her passengers were going to need to get above the cliff face somehow. "Ai!" she called out over the wind, "Can you get them up that!?" She pointed, hoping Ai would understand what she meant. Thankfully the espeon had already seen the problem, so she knew exactly what her trainer was asking. She sent a quick mental ping to Shiisa and Hikaru about what the plan was and, after a moment, sent the message to Lucario as well once she found his mental signature. She probably should have made a point of making note of his and Gio's minds as soon as they met, but she'd been so distracted by the strange dream realm that it had slipped her mind. Either way, she delivered the plan to them so they wouldn't be surprised by it- she would wrap them in psychic energy, allowing Shiisa to run straight up the wall without either of the lucario falling off.

When they neared the cliffside, Ai's forehead gem flashed with energy, and down below a light purple aura surrounded Shiisa. She was just going to shift their gravity so the cliffside served as a ground while they went up, so it didn't take as much energy as levitation or flight. But she still needed to concentrate, and it wasn't something she could have done right after evolving.
Shiisa leaped onto the wall, barking in excitement as her paws found placement on the rocks. She looked to the side and then dead ahead- it felt like she was running right at the sky.
Arezu brought Kouvu around to circle above to keep Ai in range until Shiisa cleared the cliff. When Shiisa did, bounding into the air, Ai shifted the arc of the arcanine's leap so they landed on the ground on top.
Shiisa loped a bit longer before slowing to a stop at the edge of the Galar Ruins. Arezu had Kouvu circle down so she could join them- it seemed like the kind of place they ought to walk around a bit first. Of course, she had no idea that Gio had made his way to the region, and wasn't actually all that far away.

Taking to the skies was always something Gio hated He wasn't afraid of heights, but riding on his Skarmory did scare him. If it wasn't obvious from how she battled, she did have a habit of just diving straight to the ground. That did scare him though. If they found Arezu he would have to make sure to pull up so she didn't just go all Brave Bird and cause another accident.
Call it dumb or sheer luck, but somehow Gio managed to catch a peek out of the corner of his eye a Trainer on a Noivern. A thought crossed his mind to try and fly higher above. The issue with that was number one he really didn't know how to Fly Skarmory. He was kinda letting her just fly while he rode along. Number two there was no way he could positively ID the Trainer as Arezu and he didn't know if she had a Noivern. He shouted out at the Steel Type "Hey girl! Look northeast and fly as high as you can take me!" she adjusted her flight and kinda confirmed Gio's fear. They were both about the same size so it looked awkward, but she did fly up at a sharper angle than what the young man would have wanted. The sight was absolutely beautiful though. The direction they were heading in showed what appeared to be ruins. Just north of that was another town or city. It was hard to see, but he wondered if that's where the mystery flyer was heading.

Hikaru said she was happy they did not have to speak out loud. "Yes, quite. I agree especially since we seem to have someone following us." he pointed to a flying Pokemon that the Steel Type just noticed, but he could feel faint traces of his Trainer and Skarmory's Aura high above them. It wasn't ridiculously higher than Arezu was flying. More or less just high enough for him to think he was at a safe distance presumably.
Truth be told, he was having fun and he wasn't grumpy from lack of battling. He was content, no excited about what would come next. This region, it seemed was of no small abundance of Pokemon. Especially with ones he had never experienced first hand before. A land with giant Pokemon seemed more like a fairy tale. He even remembered Gio reading, as funny as that thought might be, some book back in Kanto about an island full of giant Pokemon. Lucario had always thought of it as a work of fiction though. That Machamp proved otherwise.
He was pulled out of his thoughts when the Arcanine started running up the side of the cliff face. It was a weird feeling, and kind of reminded him of floating. More of on another Pokemon at least.

Gio saw the group floating down below him. He tried to ease his way down, but Skarmory thought he ment one thing. She dived directly downwards. The young man fearing for the worst, closed his eyes waiting for the inevitable impact of the two Pokemon smacking together. A couple seconds turned into a few seconds a few turned into what felt like an entire minute. Gio opened his eyes to see that they weren't even heading for the ground. In fact he had absolutely no idea where he was. The surrounding was flashing and changing colors, purple, orange, green and back to purple again. As trippy as it was he wondered if he was dead.

Lucario turned to face Hikaru and shook her with a paw before pointing up. He had just used Laser Focus and was charging up a ball of Psychic energy in his other paw. "That bird has been trained for doing one thing, and Ive always wanted to humble her." he leapt upwards towards where he could see the Aura of Skarmory. He aimed right under a wing just enough to graze her and change the trajectory from Arezu and the others. Only at the last second they disappeared and then he couldn't sense Hikaru or Arezu. Scarier even he couldn't sense any Pokemon near him but one. Wait! He thought, three and Gio's but nothing else.
He was floating or falling and for the first time in his life he had no idea where he was. Lucario was genuinely scared. Not just for himself but his Trainer also. The first Pokemon he recognized it was Skarmory. The second was the Pineco. The third however, was a mystery it didn't have an Aura like a regular Pokemon. It felt almost like venom and dripped Aura like it as well. He couldn't see, and knew he wouldn't be able to reach Gio before he made contact with the ground. So he did the only thing he knew how to do that could help. He barked out towards his Trainer hoping he could hear him.

Gio looked up, the noise he heard was unmistakable. His Lucario was calling for him. He wrapped an arm around Skarmory and put his other arm out. "Hold up Girl lets just hover for a moment." The bird stopped her rapid decent before just floating. Gio reached his arm out and Lucario was able to catch it with his paw. Unfortunately Skarmory was not ready for the massive weight change and completely flipped throwing the group towards the now solid color purple wall. They crashed through, getting spit out into who knows where next?
