Hello guild owners, it's me, Hiro.
I come today with a very simple request that I hope can be met, and if not, I suppose I understand.
Is there any possibly way that, with the way things are now and how many guilds have come and gone, that we could maybe make archives a bit public? What I mean is, I've wanted to share a lot of my work over the years with people who aren't on gaia. I can't show them however as they're blocked from view since they're not in the guild.
Currently, I am not a member of WWF:G and it doesnt seem like Cartwright wants to let people in unless they're going to be active members of the guild, and due to that...I can't see the most recent, best work I've ever done. It just doesn't seem right that not only can I not share my creative writing with people I know are interested, but also can't even view it for myself in some cases.
All I'm asking is for guild owners to make match and promo archive subforums public to people who are in and out of guilds.
This isn't too much to ask, right?

If a guild is private then all of it is as far as I know! Can't find a setting to make certain subforums more public than others! cool

It's a change in the guild system
Like announcement and stickies topics can't be read unless you're a member of the guild.
Like I've experimented this in various guilds with various accounts...
So it might be that....

I don't know how things have changed since I've been gone, but how was before was:
Hidden: only members can see.
Private: anyone can see forums/posts, but can't post in them without joining.
Public: anyone can post, even if they're not in the guild.
I don't know if this has changed recently, but because of the note of how "Public" guilds work, I won't be setting BBW to Public. People were able to view everything from Private when I closed its doors before, and if that's changed, I'm sorry but I won't be opening it to Public unless it's clear that only members of the guild can post within it.

I don't know what changed (if anything changed)
I know that I can read stuff in FG, I'm not in FG.
I just can't read topics that are stickied or certain topics like announcements (but sometimes I can), and there are some topics I can't read
I can read stuff in other guilds that I'm not in, again same results.
But oh hey Cart, I 'tried' that whole 'If you're not active in the guild, you'll get the boot thing'
Doesn't exactly work... I mean it did for me to an extent, but I mean FG was pretty terribad at the time
(.. Way things are going, not much is changed ) and there wasn't any other alternatives.
Regardless, it won't work out the way you hope wink

Hey man, talking s**t isn't a good look right now when everyone is just trying their best to keep everything going. No reason to dump on Cartwright or his members just for him playfully defending them. This type of nonsense is what pushed everyone away in the first place.

Chron has done well to bring people back and we can all appreciate that, but suddenly acting so toxic will remind people why they left in the first place and drive them away again! 3nodding

I personally wouldn’t work with one of the people you originally mentioned, but dragging err body through the mud isn’t going to help anyone. Thank you for seeing it my way. Very cool of you.

Personally. I didn't see it dragging everyone through the mud, more so pointing out some... Things.. But. I can see where people might get misconstrued.
And we don't need that right now.
I want this to tournament to be a success and attempt to write some wrongs.
So I'm more than willing to "eat crow" so to speak and conceed for a few things.
