"No, I suppose they have never really had anyone explore the bottom. I still don't think there are sea dragons, but who knows, I guess anything is possible. And what did you never think you would have?"she asked. She looked over to him with a curious look.

She might have been right, about the no sea dragons. It was more fun to imagine that something so fantastical might exist, though. "This." He gestured loosely, to her, to the sky, their surroundings. "Love, a future, someone I want to spend my life with." He turned slightly, to smile at her.
"If there was only one bubblypie left on all Pern, I would share it with you."

Demanthra watched his gestures, then listened to his words. She smiled softly, she liked hearing how he was glad to have her. Honestly, she was too, it made her feel good. She leaned up for a moment to kiss him gently, a smile on her lips.
"I am glad about this too, you know,"she told him softly.

Rhiyn smiled at the kiss. “Really?” He asked. “I couldn’t tell.” He was teasing. He could hardly believe his luck. It was like something out of a harper’s story. They’d had crushes as children and now—now all that time was paying off.
Dragon or not, he was the luckiest candidate on Pern.

"I think you had a good idea, sir,"she laughed lightly. She liked just being able to relax with him, not worrying about anything. It would be hard, but she knew that she could make this work. Just had to remember to be professional when doing her job.
