Come over here and let me tell you something Nothing ever comes of nothing We pay a price for all our choices made

Moving steadily away from the distracted officer, she tried to keep pace with her guide. He didn't sound happy with that interaction at all, and the odd underlay of emotion wasn't comfortable to be in the midst of. She anxiously adjusted the straps of her backpack, home-made, if one got a close look at it, but it didn't seem too heavily laden.
Could she believe the cop? She could believe he was quite serious about his job. Could she believe that it happened? Being aware of people like that was part of what kept her alive. It was in the little ripples that one could sense and be aware of greater dangers in the future. This unsettling ripple alerted her to malcontent that might lead to her being in a dangerous situation in the future.
Her thoughts were soft enough that they parted when her guide introduced himself. "Pleasure to meet you, Okamura. I go by Quela."
She smiled with a fair amount of ease. His tone suggested that he was also smiling, and fortunately, he was close enough for her to see this detail. This changed to another conversational topic. It seemed to be a point of concern that Okamura felt a great deal about. Even to the point of defensive anger, if she read the past conversation correctly. It sounded to her as though he was defending the 'monsters', or those that the self-described monster hunter would have wanted to go after.
It was a dangerous thought... What if she gave an answer he didn't like? What constituted a monster? Willful hunting or killing to survive? Was fear alone that which constituted a monster? Some would say so. Her answer was much simpler than many might be able to boast. She looked to the road they walked down and her voice quieted significantly.
"Oh.... uh... well... anything can be dangerous. Terrans, Elves, Demons, Creatures of the Woods, Old Gods, and anything... Anything, if hurt or ignored, can be dangerous."
Any predator might have something stalking it. In a moment of weakness, the king of beasts might find themselves prey to the least of them. An opportune moment makes a scorpion stronger than a mighty hunter. It wasn't a matter of what could be considered dangerous. It was a matter of when something was dangerous.
Come along now and take my hand I'll lead you to a promised land The morning after it may never come again
Never be the same.

▲ ╔══════ ▷ Quela's a pretty strange name... I guess that all but confirms that she's from Terra then. A name like that's hardly expected to be found around here. He thought to himself as he nodded his head, reaffirming whatever it was that was going on inside of it. While Nagi could just start asking her a lot of questions, it was probably best to try and keep to the job that he was supposed to commit to. She was a stranger after all, and overloading her with a bunch of random questions about Terra might scare her away. Besides, I was just questioned by a cop about Terrans a few minutes ago. It'd be really strange if I suddenly started talking about her maybe being one of them. He thought to himself as he sighed a little bit. It was probably for the best if he just let the subject fade away and not bother with it at all. There were plenty of other people to bother about such things anyway, and they were not lost.
"If you wanna use that logic, that would make humans one of the most dangerous creatures on this planet right now. Not only can they be dangerous, but they're more likely to act dangerously out of jealousy, hatred, and an inability to cope. With the weapons people have available to them in other countries, they might even be considered the bigger threat between Terrans and Earth." Nagi commented, sort of flipping the situation to cast doubt on whether or not humans could be entirely weak and harmless. While one human may not seem like too much of a threat, a large number of them with the means to acquire power were definitely a significant threat to anyone. "I doubt that's going to happen anytime soon though. People seem to be pretty complacent in this new world. It's honestly kind of surprising given how people have acted in the past. Maybe that just means the world's changed for the better since then." Nagi stated, contemplating why everyone was so okay with what had happened to Earth ever since "The Moment" happened on the Terrans' world.
Eventually, the two of them came across the train station and Nagi yawned a bit as he stopped. "Well, it looks like we're here. It's been nice talking to you, Quela. Maybe we can talk another time when you're not heading somewhere." Nagi suggested. The conversation was mostly quiet... but it was not irritating or anything of the sort. It would probably be a relief to be alone though, as it would give him time to pinpoint exactly who had been watching him for the last ten minutes or so. With Quela around, it may have seemed odd if he suddenly started turning around and watching the area around him. He did not want to come off as someone suspicious or some freak that seemed to be flipping out all of a sudden. "The train that'll take you to the shopping district'll be here in about... fifteen minutes. Just get on that train and you should be good to go." Nagi stated, looking closely at a piece of paper that was behind some glass. It had all the times for the trains and where they would be heading.►"I remember being powerless..."°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°"Those days make me who I am!!!"◄

"Yes..." She acknowledged softly. Intelligence, like many traits, was not something used to indicate how docile a creature was. It was quite the contrary. Especially if there was enough stress, enough motivation, and certainly if there were enough rallied behind a single idea.... Humans could be just as dangerous.
She was no stranger to this idea, and to the concept of strength in all of its definitions, real and otherwise. As they walked, and as Okamura continued to talk, she listened thoughtfully and patiently. He explained how humans could be just as dangerous, if not more so, and gave his reasoning. He also expressed doubt. It was an interesting back and forth, which made Quela wonder, if but for a moment, which category and class of individual he belonged to. In the long scheme of things, this was a secondary detail, but it was worthy enough to warrant attention. After all, he was within arm's reach.
Complacency... Now that was an other interesting thought. Was it complacency to simply be uncertain of how to respond or what else can be done? Most choose not to struggle against the impossible, and futility is a master that grants way to a closer peace, if it is followed. Then again, Okamura seemed to have a reason for how he translated the reactions of others. He saw them as complacent. Did that mean he wished more action? If so, what forms did he expect or wish them to take?
"I hope it has," she admitted. A better world. Yes, thinking of that was a much happier thought. Sure enough, they arrived at the station. He alerted her of how long the train to where she was going was, and she did her best to recall this detail. She bowed to him.
"Thank you very much for walking with me."

After their farewells, Quela and Okamura parted ways. She turned to make her way through the train station, and he retreated to parts unknown, likely to return to what he had been working with up until he saw fit to help her this far.
She pondered this, as well as the day's interactions as she made her way through the station, asked many questions along the way, and eventually used this nexus of motion to find the marketplace.
What a very interesting day this one turned out to be. Where would she be at the conclusion of it?
