"Everyone but immortals," he corrected her. "Ask the Weird sisters. They care nothing for mortals. It's a lot easier to withstand eternity without feelings to distract and injure you."
"It was just a joke. I'm sure she didn't mean it. Any of it," Puck teased again. He just couldn't resist. "And if that's what you say, so be it."
"You little cheat!" He exclaimed, smirking and righting himself in the air. "I buy you a gift and this is my thanks? Come on...let's go get ice cream..." He was immediately distracted by a huge, mouth-watering sign atop an Ice cream parlor.

"What if you had someone to be with you to share feelings? I'm sure they care about each other, do they not?" She questioned.
Minerva smirked "I'm glad you agree, I mean... if I was pretty or anything, then I'm sure she'd be right... are you sure it's me she's talking about?" She questioned before a smirk appeared on her face.
"Cheating? Nah, just.. using my talents to my advantage?" She floated over in the direction of the ice-cream shop "Let's do it!"

"And what sort of feelings are the type you can share? Does it make it any easier to bear them?" He hesitated. "I suppose they share a mutual relationship with one another, but not so strong as mortal sisters. They are bound together by fate. Whatever happens to one happens to all three, so of course they must care somewhat...but not in your sense of 'caring'. No affection is involved."
"Oh, I never said anything about me agreeing," Puck replied crypticaly, glancing at her out of the corner of his eye. "But one can never tell if that girl's lying or not. If she was certain of it herself, it might be possible, but she isn't, so it's not. Nothing's ever certain with her. But I believe she really does think you're beautiful. It's a little difficult to think otherwise, wouldn't you say? Especially with the images witches bring to human minds. Compared to their ideas of witches, you're like an angel. No warty nose, no green skin...Just green clothes, a cute smile, and a magical force to be reckoned with. Including turning into a irrisitably cute kitten."
"Hey! What about my 'talents'? I'm not allowed to use those. What advantage do I have?" he called after her, racing to beat her to the doors.

"Usually feelings are always hard to bare unless they're being shared or returned. Like... it's fun to be happy, sure... but isn't it more fun to be happy when other people are there to share your happiness?"
"I know why you all don't believe in emotions, feelings and whatnot, and I can understand perfectly why you wouldn't want to, but it's still a shame. I mean... having someone care for you, and knowing they do, just makes you feel... I can't even describe it, but trust me, it's a very good feeling."
Minerva grinned as she turned to face Puck "I hope one day you'll let yourself experience it, and others... wait, so does that mean you think I'm pretty, or hideous?" And as she asked, her grin grew. "And isn't turning into an irrisitably cute kitten the best way to beat your opponent?"
"You have talents Puck, you just can't remember them, so you haven't gotten to use them yet... so until then, your advantage would have to be... that I like you." She giggled as she headed for the ice-cream shop again.

Puck pretended to shrug off her question about happiness. "I don't know," he lied simply, as if it didn't matter to him. But still...if he thought of it...
Wasn't ice cream like happiness? It was good to share with others...but too much of it resulting in what Minerva called a brain freeze could be...unplesant. Too many experienced emotions could be unplesant. Just then, the fae wondered if he would willingly give up his ice cream for fear of brain freezes. He decided not to dwell on the matter long, lest the feeling of worry followed by confusion consume him.
"Is your guardian like that?" he asked suddenly, pausing in his haste. "Does she care for you? How do you know what it feels like?" He stared at her. What are you implying?
Grumbling impatiently, he hurried on. "Pretty or hideous; what does it matter how you look? Do I care what others think or me? Well, perhaps if I'm hoping to scare them, then yes, but otherwise no. And that all depends on your 'opponents' thoughts on kittens. Why, are you planning to fight someone?"
"That's no advantage if I can't use it against you!" he called, willing himself to go faster. She was already far ahead, however, and he felt tricked that she had distracted him with more thoughts.

((Ohmygod, I love that song. <3 I fell in love with it as soon as it came out, Minerva needs a song now, *ponders*))
Minerva smiled "Yeah, she does, and um... I'm not sure how you know... you're just warm and happy, comfortable and you feel like you would give anything to spend eternity just to stay in that moment forever. If you're upset or you run home crying, they're there to calm your worries, and give you a big hug and treat you like you're the only person in the world."
Finally pausing in her little 'caring' speech, she grinned, almost to the ice-cream shop. "I care about what people think of me... I don't know why, but I'd like to hope I'm not hideous. I guess vanity's just a mortal issue, though I'm not going to go about changing myself."
"Fight someone? I sure hope not, even with magic I would probably loose, I wouldn't want to hurt anyone."
Giggling softly, she dropped to the ground and ran through the doors. "I win!" She turned around and grinned, "were we racing? Oh well, I win anyways."

((I got like...three songs that constantly remind me of her... X3
There's Whisper and My Immortal from Evenessance...and of course Defying Gravity from Wicked. heart ))
"Eternity? That's an awfully long time to want something..." he murmured, wondering if Minerva was exagerating, as mortals had a tendancy to do...or if it was possible to want something so much. It sounded nice enough the way she put it...just a little too good to be true.
"You needn't worry about that," he chuckled. "You're fine just the way you are. That scarf adds a nice touch, though."
"Of course you wouldn't. That's why you get pleasure out of consistantly torturing and threatening me, isn't it? Hold on; that wasn't fair!" Feeling frustrated, Puck just managed to avoid the door from hitting him as it swung backward. He sighed and shook his head at Minerva, concealing a grin.

((Yeah, those do work, I keep forgetting about those. sweatdrop They're all good songs, a few of Evanescence's songs... well, most of them I just love so much. <3))
"Eternity is nothing compared to one minute of that kind of happiness." She glanced over her shoulder at him and smiled. "Well, it is for me, I guess I'm just a hopeless fool."
Turning around all the way to face the boy, a small smile of gratitude on her face. "Thank you," Her smile soon turned to giggles though, at Puck's other words.
"Oh, come off it Puck. You know I wouldn't deliberately hurt you, never in my wildest dreams would I ever attempt to cause you harm." Turning back towards the counter a teasing grin appeared on her face, looking over her shoulder before racing to the counter.
"Fair? My dear Puck, since when did you ever play fair?" She winked.

"Huh..." he stared at her as she smiled, her words again perplexing him. And again, the question came to mind: What was it like to be human? Was it so different? He shook his head irritably, trying to rid his mind of such thoughts. They troubled him, and he could afford to be troubled. Not on a beautiful day like this, just for him and Minerva to spend together. She would certainly be able to tell something was wrong, just as she always did.
"Wha-? For what? Oh...anytime..." He glanced away, feeling his face get warm. Her smiles; her laughter made him feel so...strange. It was a combination of so many emotions at once.
"So you say...but then what would you know of dreams?" He flew after her, toward the counter, choosing to ignore the comment about playing fair. He didn't want to start that argument again. "You want Chocolate?"

Minerva nodded at the mention of chocolate, her favourite flavour. "But of course, it's only the best flavour... well, to me anyways." She grinned and looked around at the different flavours that were presented.
"What are you going to get Puck, do you know what you want?" She asked, turning to Puck. There were so many flavours, some she had never even heard of before, some looked icky-tasting, and some she wanted to try, but not today. Today she was sticking with chocolate.
