Sniper rifles were better suited for support roles, for distance. Daggers were made for this kind of one-on-one; for a quick thrust near Gale's shoulder that struck hard and left even Ever blinking a bit, startled by the power of it. Whatever he'd been about to reply died on his tongue, instead.
