The two men seemed to be rather confused when another person showed up, something that slightly amused them. "Looks like you made a friend back at Patch, huh kid? Good for you. Guess you cleaned up your act at least a little bit. Now, come along with us. You can bring your friend too if you want." The man that seemed like the more important of the two began speaking once again after Carmine had shown up. The obviously seemed rather surprised to see that Elliot had managed to keep any sort of company with anyone, much less someone his own age. "Oh, and Professor Goodwitch is watch, just so you know. From now until the ceremony begins, you're under twenty-four hour surveillance. Whether its us, Professor Goodwitch herself, or one of her associates, we're making sure that you're not up to anything devious." The man stated, giving off a rather light laugh as he turned and motioned for them to follow. "Just so you know, this wasn't my choice. I thought it was kind of funny to watch garbage being slung across campus. Hit that arrogant little princess right in the back of the head." The man mentioned, laughing a little bit as he remembered the slingshot.

Elliot let out a slight laugh as well. "Yeah, she didn't even know what was coming until it was too late. And if mom hadn't ratted me out, I woulda gotten away scott free, ya know?" Elliot stated, lamenting the fact that he was reprimanded for coming up with such an elaborate delivery device for garbage at high speeds. "Still, I gotta wonder what mom's up to. It's been almost three years since I last saw her. She has to be out of her mind with worry or something. Or maybe she's just gonna be as scary as ever and hide it." Elliot muttered to himself, obviously wondering what sort of reaction his mother was going to have to seeing him. Maybe she would not even try to talk to him at first, treat him like any other student. The thought of that was kind of sad... but it also left opportunities for him to act like any regular student. As such, that was probably the best outcome for him. Yeah, remove the super-clingy attitude and keep a distance. Then I won't get found out so much like I used to. He thought to himself with a smirk on his face.

After a few moments, he turned his attention over towards Carmine. "I hope you don't mind the small entourage. My mom... she gets a bit crazy when it comes to regulations and safety and all that. But... at least they're gonna show us where to go, right? So I still ended up keeping my word in a way!" Elliot mentioned, nudging her in the arm slightly with a large smirk on his face. Still, what did it mean for armed men to show up to take him to school like some high-priority target or something of the sort? "And don't mind them. I've known Onyx for a long time. He's the one that usually picks me up to take me to see my mom when I've caused... um, never mind." Elliot almost let out the secret that he was actually a walking disaster, and that would not do him any favors in trying to keep his new friend. Although, these two suits were probably a detrimental factor as well. Hopefully people just thought he was someone famous rather than a dangerous force ready to tear up the sidewalk with his antics.

Noir Alcott

Noir was enjoying his adventure into the city when he was walking to the Beacon Airlines. Seeing so many new things unlike the forest he was living in with his father like cars, shops, even the places themselves are new to him. Now showing up with a suitcase with extra armor that turns into his full suit of armor, extra clothes, and his sword on his back with the dust cartridges on his belt; He is excited to see others in his age but remembering what Ozpin told him when he was received his scroll from his father. Remember Noir, unlike me and the rest of the staff here in Beacon, many students would be worried to face someone with your set of talents so it be best you wait until you are with a team.

Remembering those words, he put on a serious face on, "Right, remember, don't go showing 'that' ability to anyone. For now I should only show it to my team so I can earn the trust of my teammates." He then looked around his neck, something he never leaves behind is there was a memento of his mother. The jewel was nice and has no important but the picture inside does to him for it was him as a baby with his father and diseased mother. "Right mom, its just like you always told dad. 'Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet.'" As he continued to walk, he saw a small group of people. A thought came to mind and he walked up to them. "Hello!, You guys going to beacon? Hope you don't mind if I tag along as well as you guys in the monkey suits." He smiled so big, but to other it looked corny or cheesy.

▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱ It quickly dawned on Carmine that these guys were more escort than friend. Very quickly. With twenty-four hour surveillance, what exactly did they think Elliot had planned?
It was already pretty obvious that he'd pulled some stunts, but were they worth this much trouble? As the headed toward campus, the girl couldn't do much more than keep focus on this worrisome conversation. I mean...garbage being slung across campus? Something like that was Elliot's doing? Her mind went back to the boy's question about a desire for "going against the grain" on the airship. What exactly had Carmine gotten herself into by associating with this guy?! Grandpa! I'm so sorry. I might be a bad judge of character!

"I-it's no big deal!" she stammered when Elliot turned back to her. She lightly shook her head as she said so. A parent making sure her child is safe is normal. Had that been the case, this would've seemed a lot less suspicious,
but from the direction of the conversation, it felt like Professor Goodwitch was trying to keep others safe. Carmine smiled at the reference to their earlier conversation, though. She really couldn't get a good read on this guy, not at all. From the way he was being treated and the insight given to her on the airship, Elliot was a ticking time bomb. A very friendly ticking time bomb.
"Yeah! This works out great! Way less likely to get lost now!" she enthused, trying very hard to be positive over the confusion. Onyx must've been the one that was catching up with the boy. She was about to look over at the man when Elliot's words dropped off mid-sentence. CAUSED WHAT?!

Before she could consider prodding her new friend with questions, another guy came up, asking if they were heading to Beacon and if they could join them. He was probably a new student as well, then? Normally, Carmine would be all-for another party Member, but given the circumstances of this entourage... Well, she wasn't very sure if her opinion would have much effect in the situation. From where she was, the young woman couldn't figure out who had good luck and who had bad. All she could really do was smile awkwardly back.

The men turned towards the kid who had referred to them as wearing "monkey suits." "I'll have you know kid, we're staff at the school, so you better show some respect to us. As for tagging along, we don't really mind but..." Onyx's voice trailed as he looked back towards their pri- the person they were escorting. "Given the circumstances and situation, we need vocal confirmation that you do not hold the Goodwitch family liable for any damages to your belongings, your reputation here at Beacon Academy, or yourself that may be cause by, indirectly, or by associating with Elliot Vermillion Goodwitch. Should you agree to these terms, then from henceforth you hold no legal right to press any charges relating to the matters previously discussed. Additionally, by associating yourself with Elliot Vermillion Goodwitch, you also acknowledge the risk of being reprimanded by the school for being associated with, directly taking part in, or observing and not stopping any of the... reprehensible activities that Elliot Vermillion Goodwitch might partake in. From this moment on, you have been informed." Onyx had pulled out a scroll and seemed to have read a long letter that described any legal situations that might arise from hanging around Elliot. "You being his friend automatically counts as verification miss." Onyx stated to Carmine.

"Hey! What kind of stuff are you saying all of a sudden! You're branding me like some criminal or something that causes trouble at the drop of a hate! What I do is entertaining and fun. They're not cruel or malicious. That's why it's not "reprehensible acts" but... "shenanigans." Yeah, they're simply "shenanigans" that are meant to entertain and bring joy to all those involved... mostly." Elliot stated, trying to defend his idea of what fun was and sort of wipe off the mud that was thrown at him almost immediately. "While I admit it is fairly entertaining to watch you get up to things, it's not so much fun when I'm being forced to take Miss. Schnee's clothes to the dry cleaners for several weeks as a means to keep the balance between the school getting destroyed, sued, or much worse. At most, it's entertaining in the moment." Onyx stated, obviously not too happy with some of the more mischievous things Elliot had gotten up to before he was shipped off to train on Patch.

"Anyway, agree to it and we'll show you the way. Otherwise, you'll have to simply follow behind us and just happen to be walking in the same direction. I'm a pretty nice guy, but my job's also important to me." Onyx stated to the young man who had approached them, giving him one of two options. Legalities were also a issue, but it should not prove to be too much of a problem. Overall, it was bound to be a good bit of fun either way. "Don't worry about him. He's just mad about what happened a couple years ago. He was in the middle of a date and I can crashing through the window of the restaurant because... um... well that doesn't really matter. What's important is that I ruined his day so he's been kind of crabby with me ever since. Not too happy, not too happy at all with that day." Elliot mentioned to the young man, trying to be as friendly as possible while also giving a bit of backstory as to why Elliot was being treated the way he was. In reality, however, there were hundreds of reasons for this little escort, but Elliot was simply trying to embarrass Onyx.

                                  • spaceOpal stood alone, trying to isolate herself from the continuously forming crowd of her future peers. She watched them as they boarded and silently took them all in. Her choice of word wouldn't be "judgmental," but that's what she was doing, judging. She was thinking of who her potential teammates might be, what kind of weapons everyone used, their fighting styles, their attitudes... Opal stole her secretive glances away from the newest batch of students being picked up, setting it on the scenery outside her window. She leaned into the cold glass, letting her forehead rest against it, as she closed her eyes. Her brain needed a break. She'd spent her entire time on this airship observing other people. What she should have been musing over was how she was going to react to Beacon. While she was determined to be a good teammate, she still had her doubts; what would she do is she wasn't chosen as team captain? She was already rather set on being the leader, but never stopped to consider the possibility that someone else would be chosen. Could she be a team player?

spaceAfter a moment, the ship was in the air again, continuing their journey to Beacon Academy, 'Beacon. I never thought I would see myself doing this...' Opal opened her eyes, then, and watched the clouds as they passed them. The small conversations going on around the ship drifted into her ears. She turned her gaze to the crowd again, wondering if she should try to socialize. It might be in her benefit to make friends. You never knew how they would choose teams, after all. She saw a boy spilling the contents of his backpack on the floor; her brow rose. Hopefully he wasn't usually clumsy. 'That's a rude thought.' She watched the girl he talking to move to help. Opal looked around at a few of the other groups splitting off, silently deciding against her better judgement of socializing. She knew she should get her name out there, make herself known, but what did it matter? She tried telling herself it did matter. In the end, it was just easier to keep to herself. After all, she wasn't here to make friends. She was here to get stronger.

spaceOpal looked down at her left wrist, clad with Andraste in its gauntlet form. It was smaller than standard gauntlets. It almost looked like just a thick glove, with iron plating and a thick band on her wrist, but it packed a heavy hit. Currently, it had two capsules of gravity dust, to pack an even heavier hit. She flexed her fingers then gripped down, forming a fist. Always be ready for anything. During the Fall of Beacon, she was told that Grimm attacked mercilessly, wrecking anything in their path. Opal wouldn't let herself be a victim. She let her arm relax and fall to her side, glancing at the mirror again, catching her own stare in her reflection. "You have to make your own paths in life. Good luck." The words of Raven Branwen echoed in her mind. With a deep breath in, Opal turned to find someone to talk with, but by that time the ship was already landing. Her face turned a little red, embarrassed with herself. She set her hand against the window to steady herself for the rough docking; was this a new pilot or what?

spaceAs she was disembarking, her things were already sent to the school a few days before her arrival, her eyes fell on the boy from before. The one who spilled his backpack. There were two people talking to him, and he did not look too pleased with the interaction. The girl from before and another boy joined them, too, and Opal seemed to resolve her own pride, then. She needed allies. She walked up to the group and offered a small, friendly smile, trying to seem friendly, "Hi there, uh, hope you don't mind if I join your little group? I'm new to this continent altogether. So I figured... why not be weird and just introduce myself?" She rubbed the back of her neck, nervous, and smiled at her fellow students before giving the two suited men a weird look. Why were they even here? Was it normal to escort students around? She looked back to the other three students again, "My name is Opal. Opal Lilla." Being a faunus generally made her nervous to approach people, but most were accepting of her "cute bunny ears." Those tended to work in her favor, though, as they didn't match her personality very much. Opal stood there and waited, then, for the others to respond.

Elliot's seeming more and more like a massive trouble than a little one. Maybe...Goodwitch wasn't even remotely exaggerating after al- WAIT! I GOT ROPED IN ALREADY?! Carmine's jaw would've hit the floor had it been able to. In fact, she'd almost let go of her luggage. Elliot was quick to defend himself, however, so she wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. Even if he hadn't attempted to do so, she wanted to believe in his. The young man's defense, however, did not at all help his case. Onyx's quick response was no help either. Why do I feel like I'm going to get caught up in something I'll have no part of? My parents are going to be less impressed than I'd thought... Every time Elliot opened his mouth, he dug himself a deeper hole with explanations of past events. Just...how many times does this sort of thing happen? Being friends with Elliot was quickly sounding high maintenance. No matter! Carmine had her fair share of messups back in the day, and it wasn't like she was perfect now. It'd be easier to have faith in him if he weren't so laid back about it, though. "Heheh, you don't seem like the type to require a liability clause," she joked to hew friend, turning back to him.

It was at that point a girl introducing herself as Opal Lilla approached the group. "Are we going to hear the speech again?" she mumbled under her breath. The question wasn't meant to be rude...or even said aloud. It even took her a moment to realize that she'd done such a thing. "S-sorry, I didn't mean-" Carmine cut herself off with a sigh before looking toward the ground from Onyx. "It's nice to meet you, Opal! You're not weird at all. My name's Carmine." It didn't occur to her to use her last name. Normally, the young woman would wave politely or offer her hand but wasn't capable of doing so at the moment. Given the ears, she was probably a faunus. Was everyone going to Beacon so friendly? It was almost surprising. This whole time she'd been petrified of everyone keeping to themselves so much that she'd have no one to talk to. Seems like there are more outgoing people than expected.

Noir Alcott

Noir was expecting something better, the girl that looked at him smiled at him but she looked like she need to go to the bathroom. But when one of the guys in the monkey suit noticed him and started to lecture him then read some nonsense that made no sense at all. The only response he can give to the guy who then was recognized as Onyx was "Um, ok yeah, sure." But for Noir, he had no idea what he agreed to, if it allowed him to get to beacon then it is worth it.

He then shook his head about everything when the guy who he assumed monkey suit guy was reading all of those things about for being around came up to him and explained why the guy was so serious. Noir nodded and said with cheer, "Its ok, I figured he was just doing whatever he was doing. Beside, all of those things monkey suit read I had no idea what he was saying. But hey my name is Noir, Noir Alcott, and you can say I was living way out in the country and that is a fact." He smiled and putting out there that he wasn't living in the city and technically what he said was true if you don't mind the grimm infested forest with a bunch of dangerous terrains around that can harm you. But to Noir, it was no problem and it made good training but they don't know that. "But i am wondering, why do you need so many people? Are you related to someone famous or something?" He asked looking confused to the fellow boy teen, trying to figure out why.

Noir however noticed a new arrival by the name of Opal and who wanted to join us due to the fact were all going the same direction. Noir couldn't help but smile to the faunus as he spoke, "Sure if monkey suit man doesn't mind." However, he leaned in to warn her, "Look out, he speak with words that makes no sense and that numbs your brain." He retreated back to watch what happens with his new friends while keeping the smile on his face.

"Geez, this is starting to become more trouble than it's worth... Alright, I'm not repeating the conditions. You were close enough to hear us, probably, so I'm taking you giving your name as verification. Let's just get a move on, I don't have all day." Onyx stated, obviously a bit disgruntled by the fact that so many kids were starting to group up in once place despite him having had a rather simple job. Meanwhile, Elliot simply smirked at the fact that big bad Onyx was being done in already. "Not like you to give up so easy. Don't tell me you got too soft after the last couple years." Elliot joked with him and laughed a little bit. The man's response was simply a grunt, obviously not too keen on discussing what may or may not be true about himself. Elliot then turned his attention towards Opal, the new arrival that had caused Onyx to simply give up on trying to keep the casualties as low as possible. "I'm Elliot, nice to meet you Opal. And don't worry about being weird or anything. We're all misfits in one way or another." Elliot stated, smirking a bit. "Some more than others." Onyx stated in front of him, taking a stab at ridiculing the young man. "Hey, I resent that statement."

The academy was in clear view of the port, a large building that seemed to extend so far into the sky the clouds were covering the top of it. Elliot simply looked up at the cloud line as their little group began to move once again. Turning to Opal, he noticed something that immediately caught his attention now that he was taking a closer look at her. "You're... a faunus." He stated rather quietly, simply staring at the bunny ears. For a few seconds he was silent, then he suddenly exploded with vigor. "Do you have super hearing or anything like that? What are the advantages you get in fights? You're a rabbit right, so does that mean your jumping strength is more than normal? Ah... so coolllllll!" Elliot began pelting the young woman with questions, wanting to know anything and everything about what sort of effect being a faunus had on her existence. The young man was intrigued by faunus... a bit more than most, and he had a natural affection for the race. As such, he definitely differed quite a bit from the reactions of other inhabitants of Remnant.

"Wait, you said you were from another continent, right? Where are you from? Vacuo? Mistral? Menagerie? I gotta know!" Elliot exclaimed and then suddenly had someone place their hand on his shoulder. "I thought I made it clear I didn't want any trouble today, kid." Onyx stated to him, looking him in the eyes. Obviously the man did not want Elliot causing a scene, especially with such a large group of people. "Don't worry about the kid Ms. Lilla. He's a rather rambunctious one. He also doesn't regard people's personal space, boundaries, and- wait, what the?" Onyx had just noticed that Elliot managed to move out of his sight and over to the rabbit-girl. "So cooool." He muttered as he examined her ears, moving all around her to try and get a better look at the woman. "Not a cow faunus... but definitely cool." He muttered mostly to himself as he simply nodded his head in approval. "I gotta know! What sorta weapon do you use!?" Elliot nearly shouted the question.

He stumbled a little bit, however, when the boy named Noir Alcott suddenly asked him a rather personal question as well. "Well that's um..." Elliot was not sure how to respond to Noir, nor did he really want to given the current situation. "I guess you could say that... but it's more like they think I'm gonna surf through the streets on a trash can again... or maybe accidentally fling a lampost across the campus. Whichever one happens first I guess." He stated, laughing in an attempt to try and quell any negative opinions that might be forming. "See, these guys are for everyone else's safety! Simple as that!" Elliot stated, laughing as a means to try and diminish the severity of his previous statement.

                                  • spaceOpal gave the man, Onyx apparently, a side glance when he mentioned that he needed her verification, whatever that meant. The redhead simply nodded at the menacing looking man before disregarding him again, not willing to associate with such a gruff person at the moment. She heard what Carmine said under her breath and smirked lightly at the girl; she was going to like her, "Nice to meet you Carmine, and thanks." Opal looked over the young man that addressed her next. She thought she heard him say his name was Noir? Opal leaned towards Noir when he leaned over to her. Not expecting him to say that, she couldn't help but chuckle lightly, putting her hand over her mouth as she did, "I'm glad I missed that part, then." Finally, she turned to look at and greet Elliot, seemingly amused with Onyx's unhappy demeanor. She smirked back at his misfits comment and nodded, feeling a little more comfortable with forcing herself into their group. Maybe she would fit in with these people. "Thank you, Elliot, I appreciate that. Pleasure to meet you, as well." After their introductions were all through, the group began to move on, walking towards the Academy looming in the distance. Onyx seemed to be in a hurry to get his job done, despite how easy it seemed. She walked steadily, keeping up with the others, but with enough distance to be able to see them all at any given time.

space"You're... a faunus," caught her attention and suddenly she felt out of place again. She could never be sure how someone would react, negatively or positively, and some of the positive ones had more weird ideas than general appreciation. Opal turned her gaze to Elliot and shrugged lightly, "Yes I am, I--" Suddenly, she was cut off by Elliot excitedly asking her question after question. Wearing a small smile, Opal figured this was better than any other outcome. She could appreciate gentle curiosity, "Well, I do have really great hearing. I can pick up on a lot of stuff most people can't. My jumping abilities aren't enhanced any. Although that might be cool. In the winter my fur and hair turns white, but I don't think that's too much of an advantage, unless I need to go undercover or something." She answered his questions with almost a lecture-styled voice, as if her answers were practiced. Again, her new friend fired some more questions at her, asking about where she was from, but Onyx cut him short. Opal raised a brow at the suited man and listened to what he said. She was about to say that Elliot was fine, and she wouldn't answer anything she didn't want, but before she could get the words out, Elliot was back next to her. He seemed to be examining her ears.

spaceA small blush crept on her cheeks, not completely comfortable with how close he was to her, but she simply put a hand on his shoulder and pushed him slightly away from her. "That's a little too close. I'm from Northern Anima, by the way." She smiled politely and patted Elliot's shoulder, "Nope, not a cow faunus. But thanks for thinking its cool, I suppose." She reached up and bent down one of her ears, almost an entire foot in length, so Elliot could get a closer look before answering his next question, "This is my weapon," she held up her gloved hand and took a step back, pressing a button and transforming the small gauntlet into a long spear, "This is Andraste, a javelin that can also be used as a gauntlet, depending on the situation. I'd be interested in your weapon, too, if you want to spar sometime." She gave Elliot a playful smirk before pressing the button again, the spear shrinking down to form a gauntlet on her wrist again.

spaceHer gaze turned to Noir as he asked Elliot a question, or moreso spoke a thought aloud. Opal couldn't say she wasn't interested in the answer, though. She wasn't around to hear any explanation of why Elliot warranted escorts. When the boy answered, though, Opal was a little taken back. Throwing lampposts? Street surfing? What was this kid all about? As the two of them spoke, Opal slowed her pace to walk beside Carmine, who seemed generally uncomfortable with their situation, "What about you? What kind of weapon do you use?" Opal was genuinely curious, of course, but at the same time she hated having all the attention on her.

▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱ Carmine wasn't sure how okay she was with Noir's name-calling of Onyx. She had a feeling that he'd be in for a rude awakening if he took up that kind of attitude with the professors. He didn't even recognize the name Goodwitch from the stated terms. Raising an eyebrow, she could only wonder whether or not he was really looking for Beacon Academy. Carmine almost felt bad for Elliot's poor escorts at this point... At least Opal seemed pretty nice, though! She was even patient enough to answer most of Elliot's excited questions upon his noticing of her being a faunus. It was hard not to chuckle a bit at his excitement. She wouldn't have guessed that he'd have such a fascination with the subject. He seemed so focused that he was able to dance around Onyx to continue his onslaught. Seeing a scene like this unfold was like a weird sort of mirror. This is just as excited as she became when the subject topic turned to battle, even the slight invasion of personal space. Almost reading Carmine's mind, Elliot asked Opal her weapon of choice.

Another gauntlet? That's kind of surprising. Just a few moments ago, she was thinking of how little they were used. It was interesting to see another wielder of one so soon. Carmine's expression turned to sheer amazement when Opal pressed a button on the glove, causing it to transform into a spear. "Ah! That's so cool!" Very similarly to Elliot, a thousand questions bubbled up in her mind, but she'd hang onto them for a few moments at the least. "If you don't take her up on her offer, Elliot, I most definitely will." Opal seemed very put-together leading Carmine to believe that she was pretty strong. That officially made two people on her "Want to Fight" list.

Was Elliot avoiding the question of who he was related to on purpose? It was a rather personal one, one that Carmine had felt the need to work up to somewhat cautiously on the airship. Why was 'accidentally' throwing a lamppost across campus an easier explanation? Every time he mentioned these sorts of things, it was a bit of a shock. Honestly, how does something like that even happen by accident? She was about to ask when she realized Opal had moved beside her. "Me? Well, unfortunately, two of them are in here," she replied, holding up the metal case in her right hand. "Tyrfing's the hand canon in the holster on my belt, although you're more likely to see me use it when it's a straight sword." Carmine tilted her head back for a moment to motion behind her. "In here are my shield and secondary sword.
I'd be happy to show them all to you later!"
                                she enthused, smiling.

"Your javelin's name was Andraste, right? It's so impressive! I never would have guessed that started as a gauntlet. Do you throw it often or find it better as a held weapon?"

"Your hair changes color!? That's amaaaaaazing!" Elliot exclaimed, obviously not caring too much about strange looks or the volume of his voice. To him, this was a rather interesting turn of events and a chance to get to know someone. After all, his instructions were to make friends, and this was a good first step in doing so. Perhaps... he had invaded her personal space a bit too much though. His entire body slid away while he remained in the same pose when she pushed him away and patted him on the shoulder, the boy seeming like a statue. When she pulled out her weapon, however, the boy broke from his marble-like mimicry and grew wide-eyed a bit. "Woah... a transforming weapon. It isn't my first time seeing one... but that's a pretty extreme transformation. A gauntlet into a javelin? That must take some pretty high maintenance to make sure the transition into the different weapon forms doesn't get jammed up." Elliot mentioned, examining both her ears and the weapon at the same time. When she mentioned sparring, however, his ears perked up and her smirked a little bit. "Sure thing! But I'm not gonna hold back! I can't dishonor my master's name after all! I'll take you on too Carmine if you wanna spare!" He stated rather playfully, picking up his hands and smashing the gauntlets into each other, revealing that he had been wearing his weapons the entire time.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing with those things on!? They're dangerous you little runt!" Onyx shouted at him from the front of their little group, grabbing Elliot's attention away from his new friend. "What! They're a part of me now! They're like, my hands! We're never separated for more than two hours at a time and have round-the-clock cleaning every five hours. I even have the alarms set on my phone! The next one's for right after the speech!" Elliot stated back to him, not even noticing the fact that his new friend had slipped away to converse with Carmine. "See, look here." He began, walking over to Onyx with a bit of a skip in his step. Pulling out his scroll, the young man directed his escort's attention to the screen. "I have it all planned out. Maintenance before I leave Patch. Then there's another one schedule for right after the ceremony. There's one right here scheduled as a "just-in-case" emergency maintenance two hours early." Elliot began his list. "What do you need emergency maintenance for when you're free all day?!" Onyx began, already becoming worried about whatever Elliot was trying to start.

"Oh, um.... no reason at all. Yeah. I just always schedule emergency maintenance around the time when the streets are the least crowded. There's no real reason why..." Elliot explained rather poorly, probably even tipping his hand a bit by accident. "I knew it! You were gonna try something funny you little brat!" Onyx began, grabbing a hold of Elliot and putting him in a rather weak hold. Elliot responded rather playfully, obviously seeing Onyx as some older brother kind of figure for him. "What!? It's nothing like that! I'm not some common criminal or anything that's always up to no good! Like I said before, what I do are affectionately referred to as "shenanigans." Everyone around here knows that, and they're used to me. Or at least they were until you guys shipped me off to Patch." Elliot stated rather indignantly, trying his best to defend his own honor in front of his new friends. In reality, however, it probably sounded like a rather... not well-thought-out explanation. Elliot was prone to just saying whatever, and that might prove to be his slight undoing right now.

Noir Alcott

Noir was happy in the group and sure the group is unique, but at least they know how to keep it fun. He heard Elli's explanation due to the monkey suit people and went large eye about it with stars in them when the weapons were mentioned between everyone. Ellli's gauntlets, Opal's Javelin, and Cami's gun and sword combo. He then couldn't hold it in anymore and then joined in, "OH I HAVE TO TELL YOU GUYS!! My weapon is called Heatflake and I designed it to use as extra form of attacking. The dust goes into the handle and the blade changes color based on the dust I used. However the first time I used it I accidentally destroyed the house by causing a really large tree to fall on top of it. But no worries, we were able to use the wood to fix it up and extend the living room." Noir then pats Elli's back and continued, "So no worries, I did the same thing. I think he said it was about one hundred and twenty-five feet wide. We had to get help from my friends to get it cut up and trust me it took us months to get it all done. I even met some scary lady who showed up with Oz." He then shivered from the memory and lost his cheerful face as it looked like it saw a ghost repeating 'don't call her old'.

But then something clicked after awhile so he had to ask Elli while slowly backing up to hide behind the girls, "Wait.........Is your mom a teacher here, blond, wears glasses and uses a wand that is used for horses or ponies?" Noir is starting to panick, if he is scary ladies son, he maybe in trouble due to last time was when he gave her the nickname old lady and she used her semblance on him for eight hours straight with no breaks. He was happy to be alive but his dad still made him train due to the reason of 'never call a woman old'. Since then he calls her scary lady and hides behind anything he can, even the orange thing in the street called a 'cone' if he remembers and also remembers they are not for eating or for use of ice-cream. Now he wishes for some ice-cream but this is not the time for one.

                                  • spaceOpal smiled at Elliot's excitement regarding her weapon, feeling a small burst of pride for having built it herself. Well, she had some help building it, of course, but she wasn't very eager to tell everyone she was affiliated with the Branwen tribe. "Yeah, it took over a year to get everything just right. It almost broke my wrist, once." She mused thoughtfully, "And I look forward to our spar, then! A fellow gauntlet wielder would be exciting." Opal showed a fair amount more enthusiasm now that they were talking about weapons and fighting. Onyx spoke again, seeming to be rather upset that Elliot had his weapons on him. What else did they expect? Huntsmen without their weapons felt naked; surely they understood that.

spaceIt was after their interaction started that she moved to her conversation with Carmine and her weapon. The redhead listened, intrigued, as Carmine explained the status of her weapons. A small "Oh?" fell from her lips at the mention of a hand-cannon. Opal turned her head to look at the other girl's hip, very interested in the fact that Carmine had three separate weapons. She must be rather skilled. Well, she supposed everyone attending the school was skilled in some manner. "That's so interesting. You have so many weapons, how do you keep up with them? Technically mine is still one piece, even if it has more than one use. I might have to take you up on that sparring offer!" Opal was getting excited, now. Why didn't she think that she would find equally as enthused people to connect with? At Carmine's questions, Opal offered a polite smile and answered rather matter-of-factly, trying to hide her obvious pride. "Yes, Andraste. Thank you, and I'm much more comfortable using it as a long distance weapon. I've only had it as a usable gauntlet for a little over a year, now, so I'm still practicing with hand-to-hand." She unconsciously touched the sleight gauntlet decorating her wrist, memories of her training lessons pouring briefly into her thoughts. A warm smile came to her face, then. However difficult and frustrating her training with Raven was, they were some of the best days she's ever experienced.

spaceAt Noir's outburst, Opal swiveled her head in his direction. He was so excited about what he had to say that Opal couldn't help but smile as well. It was infectious. She listened intently to his explanation of his weapon, Heatflake before commenting, "That's so neat that the blade changes colors! I have to see that, sometime." It looked like she found three new sparring partners. She could only hope at least one of them would be on her team, instead of peers she hasn't met yet.

spaceAt Noir's next conversation topic, Oz and "some scary lady," Opal was instantly interested in that conversation. Scary lady? Honestly, that could be a number of people that worked at Beacon. But, she figured it would have been Goodwitch. Raven told Opal many stories about the pair, mostly Ozpin, and they weren't all the best of stories. Opal had her own reservation about Raven's feelings towards Oz, but she chose not to let that effect her schooling. Suddenly, Noir was backing up and hiding behind Carmine and herself, nervously asking Elliot if the woman he described was Elliot's mom. Goodwitch... was his mom? Opal turned her gaze to Elliot, then, and was taken back slightly. He seemed so destructive and sporadic, much different than Ms. Glenda's own demeanor. These thoughts danced around in her head as the group finally approached the Amphitheater for orientation.

▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱ "To be fair, one's just a simplified version of the other, but yeah! We should definitely have a match sometime!" Carmine couldn't believe that she was meeting so many seemingly strong people before even getting to the academy! Even Elliot had offered up sparring before she did! It was becoming more and more difficult to hold back her excitement about the upcoming school semester. Of course there'd be like-minded people here, she'd never expected to find so many before arriving. "I'd be happy to help you hone your skills! Hmm...or maybe Elliot? Hand-to-hand seems to be his fighting style of choice. N-not that I'm a slouch, of course! Anyway, you're free to use me as a practice dummy if we end up having a similar free time." The more time Carmine spent doing things like fighting or training, the better she'd feel. She prepared to take every opportunity to do so. Noir's sudden outburst to explain his own weapon in this conversation made her laugh a little. His weapon was definitely interesting as well, but his small story after is what caught her attention. A hundred and twenty feet diameter? The young woman wasn't sure if she'd heard him right. That's a massive tree. These guys are way too destructive... If anywhere can handle people of this caliber, I suppose it would be Beacon, ri- OZ?! He can't be talking about Professor Ozpin, can he? Is referring to him by something like that even okay?! Carmine could only sigh slightly at this point.

While they chatted up about weapons, it sounded like Onyx was having some trouble with Elliot. Although, and more likely for her benefit, she'd missed most of it. The conversation gained her attention, however, when the young man's escort grabbed him. Carmine's eyes widened at the sight, somewhat concerned, but it also seemed like they were playing around for the most part.
She really hoped he wasn't up to anything too reckless before the opening ceremonies. "Oh wow..."

As they approached and eventually entered the school's campus, Carmine became less and less a part of the conversation as she took in the scenery with stars in her eyes. Every part of it had entranced from the view of the place itself or the people beginning to congregate there. She didn't even notice Noir moving behind her and Opal in attempts to distance himself from Elliot. It was the ping of panic in sword-wielder that brought her attention back to the the conversation. "Wait, what's the problem?" she asked while looking between him and Elliot.
