"What a waste of time." Five simple words. That's what Philia used to describe both the previous Knit class, and yesterday... Not only did she have to cut class short because of her own foolishness, but she was in no state to even go out to do research the following day. Although the woman still did not feel one hundred percent she felt too much time was already lost doing nothing. "It is about time I checked that bookstore out." After her ill state the last few days, delving into the pages of the past and inspired storytelling was just what she needed to return to her natural flow.
Or so she'd hoped. As she passed through the streets and approached the knowledge-filled building Philia immediately noticed a young woman standing outside of its doors, her face full of confusion or perhaps even disappointment? That was a good sign... "Good morning." Philia would state as she approached, allowing herself to examine the stranger more closely. That was when she realised the girl was a shifter, identified by the large fluffy ears that matched the color of her hair, as well as the similarly toned tail that swayed behind her. Also she seemed relatively young. Philia raised an eyebrow. "Hold on... Are you a student from the Academy?" She'd ask, followed with the act of holding her hand out towards the young Shifter. "Philia. I teach the Enhancer Knit Class." Philia would greet the girl with a slight smile, her eyes memorising the Shifter's physical details for future encounters.
"Do you work here?" The Enhancer had to wonder why she was standing outside on her own... Or perhaps she was completely off on her assumption. Regardless, Philia thought it best to try and identify other students/faculty within the Academy whenever she could... Perhaps one of them will hold an interesting enough trait for her to examine. Or better yet, a truly unique raiment. This would naturally include Shifters as for all she knew, one in particular may hold an especially unique form. - - - - - -----ββββ’ OoC: Feeling: Puzzled Company: A Shifter Wearing: [Her Favourite]

Jesse Randall ~ Outside Grizzly Cat Stories Bookstore ~ Quite lost in thought out of sheer confusion and concern for her friend, Jesse had heard, yet not actually noticed the Enhancer's approach - at least not until she spoke and if anything, this might have made the younger female jump a little... Having taken a seat on the front step during the female's advance, Jesse would swiftly lift her gaze at Philia's greeting, putting on her usual sweet grin - even though she was worried - to acknowledge her all the same,
"Good morning!" She would reply, beaming up at the tutor before nodding as she asked if she was a student of Eoana's Academy, "I am, it's a pleasure to meet you, My Name's Jesse," getting to her feet, her tail falling into place behind her, the Fennec Child would take the offered hand in a shake before looking back towards the store... "Oh, if only I did!" she grinned, remembering the warmth of the fire they would sit by and read...and those lovely, comfortable armchairs...Oh! And the Cocoa... At this point her ears would flop outwards in reaction to her memories and she would once again wonder what might just have happened to her little Bun-bun-Buddy...
"It's a free day for me, so I thought I'd come down and see if I could buy the next volume of my favourite novel...but as you can see, it's closed..." the disappointment was more than noticeable in her voice this time and she hoped dearly that he hadn't been 'taken' like several of the students and Shifters as of late, but who was to know? Maybe her active little imagination was jumping to conclusions...?

The dawn of a new day meant yet another day to find the next adventure in. The meeting of the town's exotic looking fisherman had brought Ishitari in a wonderful mood of all things considered. She arose in a half asleep state as always when the morning came and went to shower up in the inn, then wake Entef up and feed him his breakfast. The merlin chick was slowly growing bigger. It wouldn't be long before he would be snatching up mice for breakfast. Maybe then she could get some peace and quiet during the middle of the night. Shutting the door behind her and hurrying to feed herself from Jolly Kane's mother who graciously prepared food for her, Ishitari began her trek into the town again. A much more wet one. Entef cried out in frustration at getting water in his feather as young Ishitari tried her best to coax him. "Shhh! I know, grumpy bird." After some rearrangement on both parts, she pulled the white cloak over the both of them, the bird huddling inside of it as he squished against her face. "We will have a talk about about your stubborness, Entef."
Her journey today took her down an alley that she had never seen before. Not one to turn away from a new discovery, she traveled down it and ended up going a much more direct route across town than she could have hoped for. Her curiosity was good for something other than leading her into trouble after all. Not only that, but this way seemed to lead the way towards a curious shop. One that she had not seen before on her many travels. Her movement came to a halt as the bracelets clattered against one another while the cloaked child looked at the shop with two people standing in front of it. Perhaps this was one of the hidden gems among Eoana? There was only one way to find out. The short figure hurried along the wet streets, already filled with puddles and arrived underneath her bare feet. Clng. Tchlng! She made it underneath the awning with very little hassle as Entef burst from her cloak, shaking his plumage free of water as well as in the child's face. They bickered for a moment before Ishitari pulled on the door.
It didn't budge. She tried again. Then again, harder. Her eyes fall onto the door while pondering what to do in a situation like this. Ishitari turned to face the other two who had arrived first before her but still kept the cloak around her. They were new after all. One had the ears of an animal, a shifter as they were called. It reminded her of the small creatures back home that had large ones like that. Adorable things. She watched but hesitated to speak. Entef would stared as well, hopping from his owner's gloved hand to her shoulder, where he would let out a chirp of distaste and proceed to rid the water from his wings yet again.
"I take it the shop has not opened yet due to unforeseen circumstances?" Her voice was young but had quite the amount of vocabulary for somebody who probably used half of it to shout obscenities at those who were trailing her. "Or are we early? It would be a first."

But curiousity still remained, what did this one shift into? Throughout her research of Knits she knew that ones size was another factor into what they could shift into, typically around the same size as that of what a Shifter's form is. That much alone would say that this Jesse was among the smaller variants to most. Along with her features seeming similar to a canine, not necessarily a dog though.
The girl had answered her question and confirmed to just be a visitor. This was... Unfortunate. "And I'm to understand they are not usually closed around this time?" Philia held a hand up on top of her own head as she sighed and shook her head. "What a shame." Suddenly she hear the doors thud and shake, looking over to see a cloaked female trying to enter the building. Their actions certainly explained that they also did not work in the shop. She then approach Philia and Jesse to ask about the shops open times, seems this girl and the Professor are on the same train of thought right now. Unsure, the woman looked back over to the Shifter for an answer. - - - - - -----ββββ’ OoC: Feeling: Curious Company: Jesse, a stranger Wearing: [Her Favourite]

Jesse Randall ~ Outside Grizzly Cat Stories Bookstore ~ "Not usually, no..." Jesse's ears would flop back in disappointment before one swiveled outward in the direction of a strange 'chingling' noise - It sounded rather a lot like the metallic jewellery the travelling merchants might wear when making their way through the desert and the Fennec Child would turn her head to watch as a stranger with nothing protecting her feet from the wet, advanced.
Ever curious, Jesse would watch with a tilted head as a bird emerged from the female's cloak, shaking the water from its feathers before the pair seemed to argue - at least until the stranger gave the door a tug. "...It won't open." Perhaps it was down to her concern for Fidal and maybe the disappointment of finding that the store was closed, but the young Fox spoke a little more bluntly than she'd actually intended and was quite shocked at how out-of-character she'd sounded, but it wouldn't make much difference to the situation as the trio were still standing around outside on the doorstep...
"The store is usually open between Ten and Four...and closed on the weekends...but as you are probably aware, it's well past Ten and also not a weekend..." she didn't exactly huff, but it was clear she was a little upset about it all, "I had hoped to come see my friend...but with the door locked, I can only hope he's alright...?" Her mind was still dwelling on the news that students - especially Shifters - had been going missing and with Fidal not being a student safely residing within in the walls of the Academy, wasn't he more at risk of being taken?
She would quickly try to shake that thought from her mind - her Bun-bun-buddy was safe and well - perhaps he had taken a leave of absence and was away somewhere visiting his family? Or maybe he was with Elijah? She'd heard he had been in the library a fair bit - she just had to convince herself that he was perfectly fine... After such a large comment, her sudden silent brooding might just have caught the attention of the pair standing either side of her, but Jesse didn't really notice... For the few she actually cared about, she could worry greatly...
At the end of it all, Jesse would finally conclude that with the store closed and Fidal nowhere to be found, there was little that she could do... As much as she'd hoped to see her little Bun-bun-buddy that day, she would have to leave it and head back... "Maybe I'll ask around tomorrow...No...wait, I have Knit Class...Damn..." Her ears would flick this way and that, flopping to and fro with every thought and decision she mulled through until eventually she turned to the pair with a bow and a smile,
"Well, it was nice to meet you both..." she held a hand out to gauge if she was going to get wet before stepping away, "I need to get back to the Academy..." With little more that could be said, she flashed them her sweetest of smiles before darting away in her human form - with a mission in her mind, she didn't wish to give them anything that would keep her further and so she ran.

She seemed rather disheartened which certainly brought up the likelyhood that she was friends with the owner. "Well I'm sure if anything was wrong, we would know. It's a good chance this friend of yours is perfectly fine." Casting a brief smile to the girl, Philia would expected to at least ease her concerns just a little. But this still left an issue. Where would the woman go if not here? Perhaps the Academy... Seems that would need to be her next target as she intends to hit the books.
Shortly after, Jesse was leaving to return to the Academy. Come to think of it Philia had to prepare. "Indeed. Do take care young lady. If you need anything, me and the other Professors I'm sure will always be around. I know I will be." Casting one last glance towards the other female, Philia would nod her head and wave goodbye before walking off in the same direction as the Shifter. She intended to make sure the class she runs puts some effort in to make up for the cut lesson previously.
