As Haikyo progressed through the hall, he could feel a cold, chilly breeze begin to pick up. The breeze became a gust, the gust became a burst of wind that ripped the cover off of what appeared to be a very well-disguised wall of holes that spanned several yards. Haikyo would realize that he was standing over a third of the way through the hallway of holes. As if their mere uncovering were a trigger, the holes began to shoot needles coated in some sickly looking oil. Quote: The senbon needle trap has been sprung! You have 30 feet to cross in order to escape this trap! Roll the following check in the next three posts: 1d10 + (Agility/100) vs 6. Each success grants 10 feet progression through the trap and 5 steps to the end goal. A single failure will cause you to become paralyzed for the rest of the stage and thus will disqualify you from the exams.

"I bet they'll pull something the moment we let our guard down." This was the last thing either of them heard before the tunnel itself began to shake violently. The walls and floor cracked ahead of them and behind them, a bright flash of light could be seen emanating. The source of this sudden bright light that ruined the night-vision of the two shinobi within the cavern? A great wave of fire and rock as the hallway behind them began exploding from every angle. From the walls, the ceiling, the floor... all of it exploded and was heading in their direction. A simple deduction could tell that there were explosives in the wall and that they were definitely not safe at this distance. The two shinobi could feel the concussive force of the explosions wash over them, unbalancing them. They had to escape fast or face what could only be certain death! Quote: Congratulations Karasu! Congratulations Come Play! You have entered the Exploding Hallway bonus round! Roll the following check three times over three posts while maintaining your post order: 1d10 + (Agility/100) vs the roll. Each success grants 5 more steps towards the end goal. A single failure results in your character getting caught in the blast and being knocked unconscious for the remainder of the stage, thus disqualifying you from the exam, as well as potential maim-by-fire effects depending on the severity of your failure at the discretion of the Proctor (me).

As Aratsu caught up to her and mentioned that they should be ready for anything. The shake and the small amount of dust that was kicked up, followed by the roar of fire as the first explosions went off, and the rumble as the wall crumbled and flung rock around, and the tunnel was filled with light as explosions grew closer and Nisha though to herself looking at it. 'This is a bit over board, are they trying to kill us'. Nisha taking the moment to jump back before turning and beginning to run down the hall. "Let's run". Nisha took off in front of him, and the young Uchiha quickly followed. He could feel the heat from the explosions drawing ever closer. This certainly was not the way he was going to go out. He picked up speed as he ran down the hallway's uneven floor. It must have been designed to trip up anyone trying to escape the trap. Luckily Shinken was a better ninja than that and easily avoided losing his balance and toppling to the floor.

Nisha paused for a moment to check on Aratsu to make sure he followed after her and then pushed on the ground again and began to move further into the tunnel, as she did so a large bit of the broken wall that had been launched by a recent explosion came from behind and hit her taking her out. She was at the very least unconscious and at the most dead, he didn't have time to reach down and check her pulse. He thought back to the stories Kuno had told about ninja coming back in body bags, and sighed. He reached down and picked up her body as he ran by. He would carry her at least to safety, there hopefully the medical ninja could attend to her.

Her weight slowed him down a bit and he could hear the explosions behind them. He could feel their heat, and the shock waves on his skin. Adrenaline pumping he tried to move even more quickly, making sure to be careful of the uneven surface of the floor. With grace and speed he flew out of the collapsing tunnel, and gently placed Nisha on solid safe ground. "That was closer than I would've liked." Shinken said to himself as he prepared to continue onward through the tunnel.
