pyro_cannon crying I've been waiting a month and my dad sais I can't play all because the friggin rating!!! It's not the violence, alchohol, Or blood and gore...Nor language..Guess what it is? Sexual themes? WHY THE HECK DO THEY HAVE TO PUT THAT IN THE GAME?!!??!?!!? lol I bought it when it was still rated T cool But that does suck, there is barley even any sexual themes at all (unless if you count that some men and women walk around in their undergarments but there are barley any of those!)None of the so called "sexual themes" should offend anyone.

Not many sexual themes.
1.Lusty Argonian Maid
2.A man named 'Puny Aneus'
But that's all I found.

He snickered, "Puny Aneus. Seeing some lawyer try to use that as evidence of 'sexual themes' would be enough to make me write humorously scathing letters to the man."

wow... that kinda sucks for you. I have a brother who is 12.. and he doesn't play Oblivion b/c hes not mature enough.. as in his brian does not support these kind of games yet... maybe the game was ment for older teens thats why its rate M for mature. Plus there is blood in this game as well but not enough for it to be rated M. Anywho, I didn't check the rate for the 360 version(which I have BTW).
Good luck to you or you'll be waiting for a while. <__<;;

Just reading through, I'm surprised to see that noone posted the actual reason. Could've sworn that someone had already done that.
ESRB changed the rating from T to M, because a modder went into the inner game data, and unlocked a file that made characters appear completely nude.
There was a great uproar about this, so recently ESRB has made it so that modders changing a game will no longer affect the score, unless it's something, (as in Oblivion's case), where the data was already there, whether it was locked or not, (as it was in Oblivion's case), because it can be accessed.
Technically, it's not Bethesda Softwork's fault, but hey ESRB doesn't give a damn.

I believe that the farthest it went into detail was nipples for the breasts.
I don't believe that the genitals were shown in any real detail.
I can't be certain, because I haven't looked into, much less downloaded the darn thing.
