Personal Spell Book Known Spells:
Kiln: (Pyrestia) Bonus: -5 Cost: 10 MP Effect: HP+ ||| MP 0 Method: Focus ||| Source: Nature Use: More a production of intense heat than live flame, this magic 'fires' a finished craft to set it, including paints, glazes, clay, glass, etc. Items subjected to the Kiln magic tend to be harder, more durable, and have a polished finish to them that resists tarnish.
Heaven's Breath: (Aerastia) Bonus: -5 Cost: 5 MP Effect: HP 0 ||| MP 0 Method: Focus ||| Source: Nature Use: Regardless of the terrain, Heaven's Breath allows one to breathe normally, for example, underwater, in a vacuum, or in a smoky blaze.
Weightless (Aerestia) Bonus: -5 Cost: 5 MP Effect: HP (- Difficulty for subsequent action) ||| MP 0 Method: Transmutation ||| Source: Nature Use: Those rocks too heavy to shift out of your path? Need to haul a friend to safety? Casting Weightless on your target will temporarily render them feather-light, making them easy to lift, move, or transport. The size and autonomous movement of the subject is unaffected.
Telekinesis: (Aether) Bonus: -5 Cost: 20 MP Effect: HP+/- (this can be used to help or harm, depending on the caster's application) ||| MP 0 Method: Focus ||| Source: Divine Use: Using energy as a force to grasp and move matter with one's will. The weight and size of the object is directly proportionate to the difficulty of manipulating it. Energy can be used to push, pull, lift or throw things. Targets with their own innate motion are more challenging to overpower and manipulate than stationary ones. Combining this spell with transmutation magics, like Weightless or Gravity, can ease the strain on the caster.
Sanctuary (Warding) Bonus: -5 Cost: 10 MP Effect: HP+ ||| MP+ (only protects against magical or spirit sources, not physical attacks) Method: Inscription ||| Source: Arcane Use: Cast on a location, it creates a small area into which no magic can penetrate. This acts as an effective sanctuary into which someone can retreat to rest, heal, or hide. It also is effective at keeping out spirits and ghosts.
A half hour after school let out, a knock came at the classroom door. “Hey, Miss Jeanine. You in here?” An unfamiliar voice called. The door opened a crack and a scruffy, horned head appeared. Ruttaga peered around the classroom, looking uncertain. His eyes alighted upon the baphomet sitting at her desk.
“Oh cool. There you are. Hey, uh... look.” Closing the door behind him, the chimera slipped inside. He started to sit down on the corner of her desk before awkwardly bouncing back to his feet. He hurried into his next sentence, trying his best to sound nonchalant. “Word is that you're helping students train with magic. For fighting and stuff. That's pretty cool.”

Name: Jeanine Current HP: 420/420 Current MP: 160/160 Damage Dealt: --
It wasn’t a surprise that Jeanine was still in her classroom. After all, she taught what she loved and she always wanted to be available to her students if they needed her. Today she wasn’t teaching at Grendel, so she had remained behind to catch up on some of her pet projects in the classroom. She was cheerfully humming when her door cracked open, most of her attention on the small figurine she was working on.
“Oh! Oh, yes?” It took her a moment to realize that it was her that he had come seeking, not a chance to work on a project. Well, it seemed her willingness to battle with the students (as practice of course!) was making its’ way through the school. This was the second student to approach her. She beamed this one a smile. “I am indeed. I assume that’s the reason you came to see me?” She set down her figurine, wrapping it up to keep it from drying out. Clay, both dried and wet, could be seen all over her outfit.
“Well here, let’s take this to the Battle courtyard, that lessens the likelihood of something irreplaceable getting broken,” Jeanine spoke as she made her way to the sink and washed her hands. She grabbed a small bag of something that clinked as it moved, and her keys before ushering him to the door. Many of her students would be heartbroken if their pieces were broken during a practice battle.
She led the way to the courtyard, asking him a few questions about what kind of magic he did. After everything was set up, she faced him from across their battlefield. Inclining her head, she nodded to him. “You can go ahead and cast first.”

Sorry, comp decided to take a nap halfway through this post
“Oh, yeah. Right,” Ruttaga said, turning sheepish. The thought had not even occurred to him. Mentally he kicked himself for lack of forethought. Now half the school would see him hanging out with one of the teachers. For combat training no less. He could only hope that word did not get around to Sathe. He would die of embarrassment.
As Jeanine led the way towards the battle courtyard, Ruttaga kept an eye out for any familiar faces, meanwhile answering her questions as best he could. Thankfully, he came across no one he recognised. His reputation was safe, at least for a little while. Then later, if anyone doubted him, he could totally kick their a**. Yeah!
The two had reached the courtyard. After setting up, Jeanine turned to him, telling him to go first. The chimera's face broke into a grin. Inside the ring he was in his element. All his worries and concerns went right out of his head. “You sure about that?” he asked. He cracked his knuckles reflexively. “All right, but I won't hold back!”
Adopting a wide stance, Ruttaga clapped his hands together. He then extended his palms towards Jeanine, and a howling wind burst forth between his hands.
