Shaline looked over to him as her ears perked to his chuckle. It made her smile a bit and then listened to him talk about this strange device that he placed in front of her called a phone. What it did was very similar to their Linkpearls. Although, they didn't use numbers. She picked up the device and nearly dropped it when it lit up to her touch. "This strange thing does something similar to our Linkpearls." Shaline sat down the phone and reached up to her ear and pulled off a bauble looking thing that sat close to the base of her ear. She shook her ears as they got used to the lack of feeling the Linkpearl. she held it up. It looked to be about the size of a pearl. "We usually get them when we join the adventurers guild or, like in my case, when I reached a certain age." She sat it down on the table. "They work by thinking of the person you want to contact, and if they have a linkpearl too, it will connect you to them by giving a slight bell noise when you are being contacted." Shaline then picked up the phone and just examined it.
