Cryokinesis: Mathis has the ability to create and manipulate ice. He does this by altering the kinetic energy in the atoms to lower their temperature. His abilities extend to the point that he can turn organic things such as people and plants into solid ice.
Do they have any notable weaknesses?
There was a time when Mathis struggled to control his abilities. He risked harming the people around him whenever he touched them. However his abilities now prove to be much more fatal to himself than others. When overused or in situations where he is too angry, his body (starting at arms most of the time) begins to turn into ice. This can be lethal if it reached his heart.
What is their personality like?
Mathis used to be a polite man. He would care more about what others thought than anyone should and tried to treat everyone respectfully. Then the war came and a telepath played around in his mind. He has become a lot less accepting of failure. He expects the best and accepts nothing less. He kind be kind, but only to those who deserve it.
What is their backstory?
Mathis has lived a complex life but little of it matters before a few years ago. He grew up with Providence and that is where he met Lexi. They have a relationship as complicated as the rest of his life. During a fight with the Dominion he was captured and brainwashed. A telepath altered all of his memories and turn him against the people who had been his friends. They used him against Providence and he was a proficient weapon. But, it was only so long before things began to feel wrong. Mathis began questioning his memories and left to figure it out. He came to the conclusion that neither side of the war was right, but at least Providence didn't seek superiority. He returned to their side and has been working with them ever since.
