As she seemed so sure in herself it brought a smile to the mans eyes. It was good to hear, he loved seeing his people flourish especially those he had a direct hand in guiding. He took in a deep slow breath allowing the cool air to rush into his lungs its slight sting refreshing. He exhaled loving that feeling.

"Unfortunately no. Though I shall admit this line of work suits me far more than policy." He said affirming her belief that he was more care free. Surtr couldn't argue with that. Since moving Karst and becoming Archmage he was far more pleased with himself. As she commented about her ability Surtr chuckled. "It was of high quality there's no denying that." He said with a smile. As she spoke of adding an additional shop Surtr nodded pleased with her success. "How wonderful, it seems in no time you shall have an empire in our modest kingdom." He said teasing her a bit while simultaneously commending her ability.

When she spoke of reaching for the stars Surtr smiled hip checking Kami playfully to get her attention. "Good, I always continue to reach for the unattainable. I'm sure with determination like yours you will grasp what is seemingly out of reach." Surtr said with a smile ignorant to what she was implying. His eyes moved upward to the night sky watching as green streaks of light danced across it a small smile across his lips. "How wonderful...." He said softly watching mesmerized by the natural beauty of this world.

"Failure is but the stepping stone to success." He said reassuring the girl of her ability to succeed still ignorant to her intentions. He didn't know what she meant, how could she? He had never had a goal like hers and so it wouldn't even cross his mind that she was referring to a person and not a spell or piece of knowledge. The streaks of green continued to race across the sky twirling and growing and shrinking as they went. The archmage marveled at the display basking in it with a bright smile.

He stopped as she took off her coat and hung it atop a branch. His head tilting at this action confused as to why she would do such a thing. As she removed herself from the earthly ties of gravity the Archmage let out a chuckle. As she extended a hand his eyes settled upon it looking at it intently as if this gesture was a life altering event. Both of Surtrs came out slowly and moved to her hand enveloping it before closing her hand gently with his and then withdrawing his touch so that his hands returned to his side. "Do try to keep up..." He said in an almost teasing tone.

His great wings unfurled and with a single flap he took to the skies, he began ascending at an impressive speed going high up into the night so far that Karst looking like a tiny spec. Once up above and so close to the dancing heavens above the Archmage hovered in place a slow steady rhythmic flapping of his wings used to keep him airborne. He looked down to see if the young one was on his tail or if she had decided not to follow.

Once he was to the proper altitude he could tell she was right there next to him. It was good to see her skills improving not too long ago she wouldn't have been able to keep up with such a pace. Now she seemed to be able to with ease something Surtr quite enjoyed. He hovered now his wings flapping slowly to keep him a loft as he looked to her. "Not cold?" He asked feeling an icy gust blow by. Surtr himself was never cold but then again he was born of fire so this was of no consequence to him. Though to her, he thought she would certainly feel the difference in temperature now.

After a moment his lavender eyes looked upward and became enthralled with the wondrous display of light. He smiled softly seeing them as he waved his hand across the sky and watched as the lights suddenly changed from green to a bright pink. It caused the archmage to chuckle softly pleased with his own ability and for a moment not paying attention to the fact that there was someone else to witness what he had just done.

As she watched the pink light Surtr looked over to her studying her for a moment. She seemed happy and at peace. A rather uncommon sight for her as of late. It pleased him to see her like this. As he was looking upon her suddenly far off a bright flame bust from the top of the college. A telltale symbol that the council was to meet. He tilted his head around her to look at it before looking back to Kami. "Well I suppose this is where I take my leave." He said before simply bringing his wings into his body and in turn dropping from the sky barreling down towards the earth below. Upon getting close to the earth his wings burst open and he soared off to the college intending to get this meeting out of the way of.

For the flames to happen at this time there must have been something rather pressing, and thus Surtr would not keep them waiting.

The archmage was perched atop the tallest tower of the college peering out over karst with a very judicious gaze. Though a tug at the back of his mind withdrew him from his watch. His mind came into focus and with it his eyes locked in on Kami. It had been some time since she had last been in the college. Chances were she was looking for someone. He'd wager she was looking for him.

He smirked softly enjoying what was about to come as he rose from his crouched stance and fell backward. He began to free fall, careening down unto the earth at an every increasing pace. It was a phenomenal feeling. To just let go of ones self and to be completely consumed by the rush of air the feeling of the ground quickly growing in size as his impending doom awaited to embrace him. His eyes closed and he took a deep breath before opening them and twisting his form so that he was now facing the ground. His wings unfurled and filled with air immediately halting his descent and kicking up a rather large plume of snow in the process which subsequently coated Kami. He touched down gently and chuckled to himself at how she was now covered in its chilling touch. "May I help you?" He inquired playfully looking upon her and waiting for her reply wondering if she would retaliate after being assaulted by snow.

She melted the snow and he smirked with a rather familiar memory of him doing something similar in the past. It was always a fun little trick evaporating water, melting snow. He watch as she sauntered off without retaliating a very rare occurrence and something he surmised she would repay him for. He followed her tucking his wings against his back and bringing his hand behind as well interlacing the fingers to give him a very regal pose as he followed.

As she shed her coat wisps of fire emanated from his form evaporating the snow and subsequent water that had accumulated on his form. Perhaps a more flashy display than hers but just as effective. She tied her hair up and began to speak. The entire time Surtr just gazed upon her studying and listening to the woman. She spoke of time and how it would accomplish what she wished. As she mentioned her desire the archmage chuckled before releasing his grip on his other hand and walking up to her. He gently poked her forehead before chuckling again as he began to slowly encircle her. "Unfortunately what you seek is unobtainable via the method suggested. You cannot slip into time, doing so may very well unravel your very being." He said taking a small pause to be sure she understood the gravity of that which she wished to manipulate. "However there is another method.... you could use space." He said halted in front of her and lifted up his hands.

"Linking two points so that the intended object moves from at to be instantly" He said opening his left hand then closing it only to open his right thus completing the visual aid. Not that she needed one but he offered it anyway just to be thorough. "Though this is no easy task, and not something that should be entered lightly. The more complex the object the more difficult it will be to move. Especially if its composition is biological." He said once again tucking his hands behind his back to await her response.

As she said she didn't know there was space magic he chuckled softly. "Two forces that govern our world, space where you are, and time when you are." He said looking to her and studying her inevitable reaction. "It's possible to be in the same place at two different times." He said with a smile as he remained standing in the place for a few moments. "Though impossible to be in two different places at the same time." He said hoping the distinction between the two was now becoming clear. This was no easy task. This wasn't something that could be explained with little effort. These were difficult concepts to grasp no matter who you were.

"Well I don't know if you will be able to put it in a way that it cannot be dodged but it would certainly be quite difficult." He said as she began giving a little speech about how diligent and hardworking she was. While Surtr did not deny this he wasn't going to sugar coat the journey for her. As she told him to follow he stopped and shook his head. "This is a journey you need to take on your own. If you need specific help feel free to seek me out but reading and studying books is something you must do by yourself." He said with a soft smile. He showed her the starting line it was time for her to run the race. He did however tell her how to get to the finish line.
