Lunette had been diagnosed with synesthesia. It explained a lot in her life, really. Lunette could see music. Whether it was the background music in a movie, or the chilling sounds of a videogame soundtrack, or even an orchestra, Lunette was met with a beautiful light show that left her awe struck.
At first, caretakers had believed it was Lunette having a typical overactive imagination, like most children her age, but as the naga got older and the light show had yet to fade, a few observant caretakers began to worry that Lunette was developing at a slower rate then most of her peers.
About to embark on her juniors years, Lunette taken in and assessed by a few different specialist, until finally a conclusion was made: Lunette could see a true, wondrous beauty whenever she heard piano key sound, or a clarinet's first note. Each note produced a different colour, and each instrument was paired with different imagery.
That was why Lunette turned to music. It was her artform, her self-expression. Electronic music in particular had captured Lunette's heart, and it was at the discovery of club music that Lunette knew exactly what she wanted to be.
She wanted to put on her light shows, to show the world what she could do as a DJ. She mixing her own tracks, bought herself a turn table, and began practicing to compete in competitions. There was something in the way she performed that stuck out to people, that made them want to see Lunette continue to play. She picked up every instrument she could get her hands on, started a YouTube channel and acquired a following and rather large fan base. At first, people watched as this extraordinary child played instruments better than most adults could ever dream of, and that awe only continued as the naga grew older and started finding her own sound.
Music was her soul, her passion, and her life. And nothing could take that away from her.
