I just reached out/replied to someone who contacted me about that, we'll see what we can get done.

It all depends on the sponsorship contract and details we signed with them, in some cases we may not be able to re-release them again, in other cases we may. We could potentially take a look into some of the ones we have in existence and see which ones we could potentially release, but this would probably be a low priority project for the time being.

Not right now, but I have in mind a gold granting system that will adjust according to inflation, and keep tabs on gold earning across all features. When that system is complete there's a good chance we can add such a feature in.

I'm so glad that the new UI library fixes the touchscreen bug. I was at rope's end when the update before the last didn't fix anything.

I happen to just mentioned it, but I do wish to make a global gold granting system that manages gold grant across all features, and would automatically adjust for inflation. This way no matter if you're into LK, posting in the forums, or playing other games, you would still be earning a good amount of gold. That system would inherently have a soft cap. Meanwhile, anti botting measures will always be there for individual games.

I'm still working out the details, and I won't have time to work on it until later this month, but it's one of the higher priority projects on my list.

I'll pass the report back to Lionheart. I'm sure the new system still have many rough edges to smooth out.

Yes! We actually have those and will be going through and granting them over the course of the next couple weeks, sorry about the long delay.

Unfortunately I haven't gotten hold of Swarf, but I'll still take time to look into the code and try finding a Java programmer to help.

I'll go bug Narumi about it. He pushed a set of fix for the first of the month bug, but sounds like the bug is still there. sad

Haven't thought about adding new puzzles. Will add that to my list of todo's.

At the moment we're not leaning towards doing this as we already have a lot of forums right now and we want to look into potentially culling some existing, slow ones again. I understand it can be a pain, but Game Item Exchange is the proper forum for now to sell certain LK items.

We're working with our partners to get a resolution on the ticket submission side of things, we do have e-mails set up to allow for ticket submission. I understand that it's frustrating the queue is backlogged and our team is working as hard as we can to get through that backlog. The ticket system is the proper means to appeal any ban, we've made this public appeal for the name dropping situations in an effort to be transparent about things. If a ban was placed incorrectly, we're going to own up to that, if we feel that we should be showing leniency toward a ban now, we're going to allow that.

We have no plans to extend this process for other bans in the future, however we still have a standing policy that for the sake of transparency, if someone does want to go into public (this thread being an exception to all of this) and claim an account was unfairly banned, we will go in there and take care of the case publicly, which includes admitting our fault if a user was unfairly banned.

Haven't started yet. After fixing Moga, I'm behind schedule to finish a new feature, then afterwards I should have time to go back and work on inventory. In any case, I need that feature to be ready as CodeMonkey get started on the mobile app, so it'll be done one way or another!

This is something that we are still looking into, we just don't have an update at the moment.

It's something we have discussed before, but we don't have a firm decision at the moment.

Probably not in the near future. It's hard to get a breather from building features and fixing bugs. I do hope that we will be able to hire more help later this year.

Agreed and that's a philosophy we should continue to teach as we bring in new moderators. If we see that you are taking steps to improve, we should be doing what we can to recognize that. We're all human, we're going to slip up from time to time, but if we've gone out of our way to improve and have shown that improvement, then I think it's fair to also encourage that behavior by not being as strict as if you were doing things maliciously because you didn't want to, or didn't care, to try and change.

Yes we do have plans for a couple of conventions outside of CA. We'll most more info as they come along.

We do have plans to tackle inflation, but it won't involve taking people's money away or putting caps on things. Once we hashed out the idea I'll post about it in SF.

The vast majority of bans that were placed in the three or so years that the old CEO ran the site were under policies that were no different than from when previous CEOs ran the site. The majority of our policies are policies that haven't changed since as early as 2006 when I joined the mod team. That isn't to say it's perfect though, I actually agree that there's always a time and place to review all our policies and make sure that they make sense for how the community has evolved.

For example, in 2012 (I believe, it could have been 2013 or 2014), we redid our sexually explicit policy and made it more strict. We immediately permabanned anyone who posted sexually explicit content. A few years later when I took over the moderator team (which has, for the most part, stayed the same), they came to me and said, "We think this policy should be changed." Together, as a team, we reviewed the policy and made changes to it to be a lot more lenient than what it previously was.

The reason why we're not reviewing bans in that thread unrelated to posting the old CEO's information is because the majority of these bans weren't because of policies the CEO put in place. Hope that makes a little more sense.

Uh oh, I'll add an option to turn that on and off then. The script puts temp storage on the top of the screen at position zero. Wonder what might cause it to scroll under.

I've fixed the bug but somehow the update doesn't seem to reach the server and it's driving me nuts. gonk I'll retry again later this week.

Sorry for now we're only hiring local candidates because training is so much faster when communicating face to face. We need to ensure that we can provide a good environment to any intern candidates and I think we can do a much better job if they're present.

CodeMonkey had been brought on board to help us out with that. He just started yesterday so it will take a while. whee

I missed this question earlier, but we're aware of the abuse going on in Runway. It's clear that changes we made did not help improve the situation all that much so we need to take more drastic steps to try and address it, unfortunately that also means it's something that is going to take a lot more time to look into which means we have to prioritize it against everything else we need to do and address on the site.

I'm an advocate of doing what we can to address the issues plaguing Runway, and I think others in office are too, so it's not something we plan on forgetting about. I am sorry to hear about the problems, and from a moderation stand point, we will do what we can to address individuals cheating the system.
