A Just War

Millenia gave a small bit of scared interaction when her father barked at her "y...yes papa" she stated as she would move behind him, but she would speak up again "Bu...But papa...I didn't sneak out...I accidentally went berserk again...like before...and I woke up here" she stated trying to calm him down. The point was more towards trying to correct the fact he thought she ran away when she didn't, whether or not her father would be able to hear her through his bit of rage fit, that was up for debate but she was being seen as one who ran away. she puffed out her cheeks when he would challenge the MAge "PAPA, he was being nice...he was going to take me home" she stated still puffing her cheeks out. At this point this was all she could do, was stand behind her father and try and speak up, she hoped it would be enough to calm him down but her father was never that easy to calm down, and to add on top of the fact that he was very protective of her, she had some doubts, but Hope she did.

"Warlock.... Don't think I've been called that one yet... Surtr is my name if you care to know..." Surtr said chuckling softly at the energy this one had. He supposed it was warranted a protective father would likely respond like this. As he asked if he wanted to fight Surtr chuckled softly. "Well first of all I was on the other side of the river. I only crossed it with your daughter to return her. So since she's the crown princess I'd say she's the one who permitted me." Surtr said with a chuckle thinking that it was a humorous paradox the king had got himself into.

"I don't think I could fight a father in front of his daughter.... especially the crown king...." Surtr uttered softly raised both his hands. Though a playful smirk crept across his lips. The clouds began to darken and Surtr gazed upward. "Ooo impressive..." Surtr teased harmlessly as his gaze shifted back to Indred. "If you would like a little friendly spar I'd happily stretch my legs. Though there's no way I'll go all out with a youngling here so you'll unfortunately have to settle with a spar.." Surtr bargained this little deal as his hands ignited in fire a ever so slowly. Showing he was willing to have some fun, though he wanted just that.

Indred had had enough of Millenia trying to plead her case to him. There was no pleading with Indred once he was like this. "ENOUGH!" He bellowed, his draconic aura beginning to seep out. The mere idea of Indred getting upset enough to let his aura seep out was frightening. He was a hard man to reason with already. Indred spat to the side at Surtr's introduction, not caring enough to give him the same pleasantries. His gaze shifted back to Millenia for the briefest of moments when Surtr mentioned that it was her that permitted him to enter. Any other time, it would've been cause to make the king laugh but now he was in no joking mood. "A spar? No I do not wish to spar, Warlock. I really would like to kill you but since my daughter is here, I'll cut you a deal. If you can defend one strike against me, I shall grant you access to the Kingdom in it's entirety and I shall escort you to the capitol myself. How does that sound?" Indred readied himself to surge a lightning strike from his blade in a linear path towards the mage.

Millenia wanted to help solve this issue but when her father told her enough with his loud voice she would hunch over a bit looking at the ground "y...yes papa" she stated, it was at this point she listened to her father, she would do anything her mother asked but when her father came she would question but would always listen if he repeated his wish, which was shown now as she was now silent. sh seemed a bit sad and a bit scared because her father was strong and he wasn't going to listen to her no matter what he would have said. Though for some reason her father was being sort of soft by her presence there, it was the best she could do, which was nothing but it caused her father to not go on a killing spree.

The mage smirked as the king bellowed and a thunderous echo reverberated throughout the valley. Such power, such primordial strength. This was truly a treat, this was what he had come to see. The mage seemed to get more excited as the anger would rise within Indred. As the king struck a deal the mages eyes widened for a moment in delight. All he had to do was survive one attack? That was it? A task that was easily won. What a joyous day! What a day indeed! The mage stifled any chuckle being sure to remain respectful. "I survive one attack and I get to come to the kingdom? I'll even sweeten the deal... I won't move...." The mage said with a very playful smile as he opened his arms as if to welcoming the impending smiting that Indred would unleash.

Unbeknownst to Indred Surtrs magic would have activated already. Although his form appeared to be standing there wide open for assault in reality it wasn't. His form had become intangible, on another plane of existence. Any attack that came towards him would only pass through making it appear like Surtr was an apparition. He would await the attack a playful smirk across his lips awaiting to see Indreds strike.
