Reno would quickly spring to his feet before yelling, "Just take care of the Farfetch'd already! He stole your mask, so take him out!"

Dropping back in would be rein with his picture of someone from far away. While the salesman shook reno, "The story lies in the in the wierd findings we happened to come across while searching for your mask, but if you dont put reno down , I may aswell take it for myself~~." Rein mused, and poked at the mask salesman taunting him his own ego.

The man would let go of Reno and listen to the other Snagems, especially Cera as she explained things. After taking everything in the man would nod and turn around to set at a giant organ. Wait, where did that come from? "Let me show you a story then." With that said he began to play the organ and images of a distant past began to play out in front of the Snagems.

[Twenty Years Ago]

Elyssa was your typical teen girl growing up in Vermilion City. She loved to swim, thought Lt. Surge was a hunk (even carried a picture around), and always dreamed of attending a party on the S.S. Anne. Like most people Elyssa got her first Pokemon at the age of ten, a Farfetch'd she named Dux. Typically Farfetch'd are hard to come by, their status as being endangered making them so difficult to obtain, but Elyssa's father had connections.

Young Elyssa was so happy with Dux, they swam together, played together, even spied on Lt. Surge's battles from the back windows together! When Elyssa turned thirteen all her friends got into the craze of having a Pokemon that could fly you around. Unfortunately while Elyssa had a Flying Pokemon Dux was simply too small to carry her. Dux tried his best to make up for his shortcomings by training vigorously to be physically but alas it was not enough in Elyssa's eyes, she wanted to fly.

Then one day a silent trainer came into town and offered a solution to her dilemma, a Spearow which would one day evolve into a Fearow big enough to carry her. Without a second thought Elyssa traded away Dux to the future champion for his Spearow. While his trainer was happy Dux was devastated by the trade, that the only trainer he ever knew, that he knew since he was a chick, would trade him away on a whim and a fad.

Dux would try his best to forget about Elyssa, and his new trainer would provide plenty of opportunity to do so as they faced countless battles and numerous gyms, Dux even single handedly defeating Erika. His new trainer would go on to become the champion and thus Dux had grown to become a considerable force himself.

Not long after his trainer's victory did Dux learn that his former trainer, Elyssa, had passed away. The newspaper and TV detailed her death clearly. The girl had trouble keeping her new Spearow under control and frequently chased after it trying to get it back in its ball. One day while chasing it around the pier Elyssa slipped and fell off the pier behind S.S. Anne just as it was departing. Her Spearow tried with all its might to pull her up but she was simply too heavy for the small bird. The currents produced by the large ship was too much for the girl to swim against and carried her away, the girl drowning.

Distraught and feeling partially responsible for Elyssa's death, thinking that with his new strength that he found have saved her, Dux left the champion's side on top of Mt. Silver, grief stricken and ever wondering if he could have stopped her death.

Some time later Dux would stumble upon a mask seller, hearing him speak of a mask on his person that can reveal the truth to its wearer. Thinking that such a mask could show him if he could have saved her Dux stole it and ran off. Alas the mask revealed nothing to him and Dux began to retaliate against the world that has caused him such pain, taking it mostly out on a certain individual who lives in Mt. Silver, in a way giving himself something to live for every year, a moment to escape his endless torment.

"Wait, what's going on?" Keiko asked as the volcanic scene shifted. She soon found herself in the presence of the Mask Salesman, but instead of being able to ask him anything, Cera and the Mask Salesman trade stories, explaining everything that had been going on since El Pato arrived.

"That's horrible," Keiko said, wiping a tear from her eye. Although she didn't know if she could do anything about it (especially in her current state).
