Before I can say I love you I must say I am sorry. I have neglected you for far too long my love and it has weighed heavy on my heart to know I've done this to you. With the attacks on our trade routes there has been much for me to do and lots of patrols for us knights. We haven't found the culprits just yet but the armor they leave at times suggest that...it was your kingdom's doing. I refuse to believe that you or your family would have plotted such aggressive trading business but this will explain why it is Bellris has stopped trading with Zalto for the time being. It is not only to your kingdom we close our doors, however, as we have been keeping our food locked behind our walls with no of it going to neighboring kingdoms. I shouldn't even be writing you with how much patrol men are at the borders, all of them anxious to intercept a spy's letter that will never come, but another minute of making you questioning where am I to be found would eat away at my heart more than it already has.
For your brother Aldon and his wife Elentiya I can only send them prayers for a good future and a happy home filled with the pitter-patter of many children. I wished to have been able to go to the weeding and dance the night away with you but I had to be careful and not be seen by any of the Drosselmeyer. I and their family are not the best of friends and I worried my presence would have brought unneeded tension to a day that is meant to be filled with bliss. All of that tension won't matter on the day of our weeding though, for even if the Drosselmeyer show I will not hide from light on the day of our weeding. I want to be able to hold your hand and share that same blessing sun on that moment we cease to be two lost souls and are finally joined in holy matrimony, guided by the gods and blessed by each other's love for all a lifetime.
I tell you this now, do not write me back. I have been making deals with Count Dixon of Ethe with plans I have for Bellris in mind but I fear my sister may have bad suspicions of what it is I am doing. Perhaps it is just me being jumpy from Hysteria having accused me of possible treason while we were behind closed doors for nominating Lady Youkimi as a possible chairwoman, but I now am suspicious of my sister and what her mind is up to. Though I will say this much...do expect me to suddenly drop by and see your smiling face once again; And my beating so rapidly as I hold you in my arms once again.
