The Warrior Code
1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3. Elder and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
10. A gathering of all four clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different Clan.
13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet. *As listed in Warriors Field Guide Secrets of the Clans by Erin Hunter

Roles of the Clan Cats
Leaders- "Clan leaders are the heart of the Clan... It is up to the Clan leaders to set a good example and guide their Clanmates along the path of the warrior code. They are responsible for calling Clan meetings, appointing warriors, mentors, and apprentices, and deciding Clan policy and strategy with the help of their deputy and any cats they choose to consult for advice" (103).
Deputies- "...Chosen by the leader, to assist in taking care of the Clan. To qualify, a warrior must have had an apprentice... with the qualities needed to take on leadership of the Clan if necessary. The deputy presides over Clan meetings when the leader is absent, stands in for the leader at Gatherings if the leader is ill, organizes daily patrols, and oversees the training of apprentices" (107).
Medicine Cat- "No Clan could survive without a medicine cat's knowledge of healing herbs and compassion for the sick. In addition, these cats have a spiritual responsibility. Their unusually strong connection to StarClan allows them to receive and interpret visions..." (130). "...Medicine cats cannot have a mate or kits..." (131).
Medicine Cat Apprentice- "Most medicine cats are born to their destiny [and from] a young age, these special kits are drawn to the medicine cat den. They are fascinated by the herbs and often have strange dreams of their own... If the kit agrees, he or she is brought to the sacred space... and initiated into the ranks of medicine cats..." (130-131).
Warriors- "They patrol the borders, keep the fresh-kill pile supplied, and defend their Clanmates against attacks from enemy attacks from enemy cats or predators. They fight to protect the Clan for as long as they are able and are often called upon to mentor apprentices..." (110).
Apprentices- "At the age of six moons, kits leave the nursery and become apprentices. At this point, they change the second half of their name from 'kit' to 'paw'... The Clan leader assigns each apprentice a mentor... Apprentices are responsible for chores around the camp, such as tending to the elders, in addition to their training" (10 cool .
Queens- She-cats who are expecting or currently raising kits. They spend the tail-end of their pregnancy, as well as the first 6 moons of their kits' lives in the nursery, caring for the little ones until they are ready to be apprenticed. Most queens will then return to warrior duties, but some choose to remain in the nursery and help the other she-cats care for their young.
Kits- Any cat under the age of six-moons. These Clan members live in the nursery, and are bound to the camp until they come of age. They are not allowed to train, and spend their days playing games and getting under-paw.
Elders- "Those cats lucky enough to live a long life may eventually retire from their warrior duties to become elders. These elderly cats are viewed with the deepest respect by the rest of the Clan... [They are] an invaluable source of advice for the Clan leader, and they keep alive Clan history by passing down the old stories" (115). *Items in quotes taken from Warriors Field Guide Secrets of the Clans by Erin Hunter.

Ceremonies
Almost all ceremonies are performed by a Leader, after calling a Clan Meeting so that everyone will know what changes are happening.
Apprentice Ceremony- "Leader: (Kit), you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as (new name, ending with "paw"). Your mentor will be (name of warrior or). I hope (name of warrior) will pass down all he/she knows on to you.
The leader calls up the warrior he/she has chosen as a mentor.
Leader: (Warrior), you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from (former mentor), and you have shown yourself to be (quality) and (quality). You will be the mentor of (apprentice), and I expect you to pass on all you know to (apprentice).
The mentor touches noses with the apprentice, and the Clan greets the new apprentice by calling out their name. After this, the apprentice will usually go greet their family, or go see to their mentor" (Warriors Wiki Entry)
Medicine Cat Apprentice Ceremony- The leader calls a Clan meeting, after the Clan's medicine cat announces that they wish to mentor an apprentice. After their ceremony, the mentor touches noses with the apprentice, and the Clan greets the new apprentice.
At the next half moon, the medicine cat goes with the apprentice to the Clans' sacred place to present them to the warrior ancestors, where the apprentice confirms their wish to be a medicine cat. The following words are used, by tradition:
Medicine Cat: (Apprentice), is it your wish to enter the mysteries of StarClan as a medicine cat? Apprentice: It is. Medicine Cat: Then come forward. Medicine Cat: Warriors of StarClan, I present you with this apprentice. (He/she) has chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant (him/her) your wisdom and insight so that (he/she) may understand your ways and heal (his/her) Clan in accordance with your will.
The medicine cat apprentice [drinks from the Moonstream) Then the medicine cat and the apprentice lay down and have a dream from StarClan." (Warriors Wiki Entry)
Warrior Ceremony- "Leader: I, (Leader), leader of (Clan), call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/she) has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend (him/her) to you as a warrior in (his/her) turn. Leader: (Apprentice), do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life? Apprentice: I do. Leader: Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. (Apprentice), from this moment you will be known as (new warrior name). StarClan honors your (virtues), and we welcome you as a full warrior of (Clan). The leader rests their muzzle on the apprentice's head, and the apprentice licks the leader's shoulder. The rest of the Clan then greets the new warrior by calling them by their new name" (Warriors Wiki Entry).
Medicine Cat Ceremony- "Medicine Cat: I, (name), medicine cat of ___Clan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/she) has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help (he/she) will serve (his/her) Clan for many moons. Medicine Cat: ___paw, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life? Apprentice: I do. Medicine Cat: Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. ___paw, from this moment you will be known as (new name). StarClan honors your (virtues), and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of (Clan). The medicine cat rests their muzzle on the apprentice's head, and they lick the mentor's shoulder. The other medicine cats greet them by their new name" (Warriors Wiki Entry)
Deputy Ceremony- "Leader: I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors (or former deputy name) may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of (Clan) is (warrior's name)." (Warriors Wiki Entry)
Leader Ceremony- "The new leader goes to the [Moonstream] with the Clan's medicine cat. After [drinking from the stream] the new leader cannot move for a short period of time, because their old life is being ripped away so they can receive nine new ones. Upon awakening, cats of StarClan come down from Silverpelt. Nine cats, normally ones who were significant during the new leader's life, although this is not always the case, give them their nine lives with these words:
Life-Giver: (Touches nose to the top of the new leader's head) With this life I give you (gift). Use it well (to, in, as, for, etc.) (use of gift). When all of the lives have been given, normally the previous leader says these words:
Previous Leader: I hail you by your new name, _____star. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and StarClan grants you the guardianship of ____Clan. Defend it well; care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity.
Just as the forest-cats would call a warrior by their new name, the StarClan cats acclaim the new leader. After the ceremony, the new leader is not allowed to tell any cat what happened during the ceremony" (Warriors Wiki Entry)
Elder Ceremony- "Leader: (Warrior), is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and go to join the elders? Warrior: It is. Leader: Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given to us. I call upon StarClan to give you many moons of rest...
Usually, an elder ceremony is held only when a cat retires due to old age. If they are forced to retire because of a severe injury... there is no ceremony" (Warriors Wiki Entry)
Name Changing Ceremony- "Leader: Spirits of StarClan, you know every cat by name. I ask you now to take away the name from the cat you see before you, for it no longer stands for what he/she is. By my authority as Clan leader, and with the approval of our warrior ancestors, I give this cat a new name. From this moment on he/she will be known as (new name), for (description of the reason)" (Warriors Wiki Entry)
Vigils- There are a few occasions when a Vigil is performed. The first is when a Warrior receives their name - "Newly appointed warriors are required to stay awake for the entire night after they received their warrior name, as decreed by the Warrior Code. They guard the camp in silence, while the other Clan members have a good rest". (Warriors Wiki Entry)
The other occasion is when a cat is dead, or assumed dead - "If a Clan cat dies, their body is taken to the center of the camp, and several of their Clanmates, usually the cat's family members, close friends, and mentor/apprentice sit vigil for them through the night, sharing tongues for the last time before the elders bury the cat in the morning.
There can also be vigils for cats without bodies and suspected dead... There is no burial, but the cats still sit vigil" (Warriors Wiki Entry)
Calling a Clan Meeting
DuskClan - "Let all cats old enough to venture the tunnels gather beneath the tall stone for a clan meeting!"
DawnClan - "Let all cat's old enough to climb the trees gather beneath the great stump for a clan meeting!"
FloodClan - To be decided. *All quoted items are from the Warriors Wikia. The hub page for all of the ceremonies can be located here for referance.

Honey: Honey is used to treat sore throats.
Mouse Bile: Mouse bile is used to make ticks release their grip on a cat.
Wild Garlic: Rolling in this herb can help to keep infection out of wounds. It is also good for rat bites.
Other Non-Herbal Treatments:
1. Gently nipping a cat's spine or pokeing it hard with a claw tests to see if the backbone is broken. If the subject does not feel the n** or poke, then the sprine is broken. Many times a medicene cat will have to poke/n** the subject multiple times in different places to find the break.
2. Licking a cat's fur can help clean wounds, comfort/calm down a shocked or grieving cat, and warm a cat who has become very cold. (Lick the cat's fur the wrong way to do this. The last method is most often used on kits.)
3. Soaking moss in water and holding the dripping moss before a sick, injured or weak cat makes it easier for them to drink. Soaked moss can also be used to cool feverish cats.
4. Rosemary or mint can be used to lighten the death-scent of a dead cat before burial.
5. Using nectar, honey or mouse blood can make herbs sweeter and more appealing to cats--therefore making it easier to take the medicene.
6. Holding a swelling wound in cold water takes down swelling. Cats can also soothe scraped pads by soaking them in water.
7. A cat with weak or hurting muscles/bone can take part in water therapy. Have them wade in water that is not too deep or shallow, and eventually they'll get stronger.
8. Having a sick cat wail or yowl keeps their lungs and chest clear of mucus.
Taking Care of Your Herbs:
Here is how a medicene cat should keep their herbs fresh and useable.
--If any herbs are wet, leave them out in the sun until they dry.
--Gather fresh herbs when your stock gets low.
--Leave enough of the herb on the plant you use for gathering it so it can reproduce
--Check your store often and throw out old herbs or herbs that have lost their healing qualities.
Other Herbs To Keep in the Medicene Den:
Note: ONLY use these herbs for self-defense against a cat who is a danger to all the Clans, or if a cat from your own Clan asks for a quick, painless path to StarClan while on his or her deathbed.
Holly Berries: A poisonous berry. Cats die almost instantly if they are consumed. If consumtion if not intentional, use yarrow to get the berries out of the cat's stomach.
Deathberries (Yew berries): A posionous berry. Cats die almost insyantly if they are consumed. If consumtion is not intentional, use yarrow to get the berries out of the cat's stomach.
The berries listed above can also be used as traps for dangerous predators. (Snakes, moutian lions, foxes, badgers, ect.) Stuff a piece of fresh-kill with these berries and set it near the pedator's den. They will die quickly and painlessly" (Taken from this Good Reads page written by user Hope).

Notable Locations
Moonstream- The Moonstream is the place of spiritual power where the cats of the clans go to commune with StarClan. It is a stream of flowing water, passing through an underground cave outside the edge of the clans. There is a hole in the roof, and at night the light of the stars reflects into the water, casting shimmers onto the walls of the cave.
The stream does continue flowing outside the cave, and cuts through the territories of both clans as it goes. It eventually curves off again, edging out DuskClan's territory in the south, flowing into the woods far beyond where any cat has attempted to travel.
Gathering Hollow- A massive dip in the land between the two territories, presumably made by the two-legs. The area is now flooded with lush grasses and wild bushes. All around there are ledges jutting from the walls. The largest of these is nearly 4 tail-lengths long, and is where the leaders sit to address the clans.
Abandoned Two-Leg Village- Just outside the territories of both Clans, there is a two-leg settlement, filled with dwellings. All of them sit empty, and have been unused for as far as any living cat can remember. The dwellings are falling apart and overgrown with plants. In leaf-bare, the dwellings often hold prey. In green-leaf, medicine cats can often find obscure herbs in the remains of gardens.
