Ambrosia stepped out of hiding in the group of guards her husband made her take everywhere to protect both her and the children. She held Elric in her arms and a handmaiden beside her held Eliana Rose. A smile upon her lips and pride and love for both her children and her father shone bright in her eyes. "I'd very much wish to speak to the Mayor of Etherland please." She said laughter light in her voice. She curtsied low and smiled up at her father. "I'd very much like to introduce him formally to his two grandchildren; Eliana Rose Drosselmeyer and Elric Blazh Drosselmeyer."

Although that was her official reason for seeing her father as well as what she told her husband in her letter she had a few questions to ask her father as well. The spirit of her 'Queen Grandmama' left her with many questions. Of which she was determined to get answers. But first she'll enjoy some quality time with her father and her children.

Joachim turned around and smiled at the sight he saw ln front of him. The old man let out a hearty laughter and walked towards the jewel in his eyes. " it seems, this past year has been kind to you." he looked at the two children.He still did not trust the emperor. But his daughter seemed to be doing alright.
" wouls you like to come with me to a new bakery? We can talk in private there."

He begun to walk there was much that he wanted to talk to his daughter. Much he wanted to apologuise for. Tho he was still debating it. Maybe he also wanted to tell her the truth of himself. And in turn Of herself.

Ambrosia smiled brightly at her father and bounced Elric gently as he began to make slight noises of grumpiness. At her father's words she smiled "It has had it's ups and downs but all is well. I would be delighted to join you at the new bakery." She followed suit, juggling Elric around until he was more comfortable to hold while walking. Her hand maiden sticking close to her with Eliana. She smiled and grabbed Eliana's hand and sent the hand maiden away with a hand gesture. "Eliana why don't you go hold grandpa's hand?" She said allowing the one year old to waddle up to her grandpa and reach up at him.

The old man offered his hand to the young girl " she can already waddle such a smart girl." he took them on a bit of a winding road. " its ups and its down huh? have you found time to pick up flowers to study?"

the walk itself was not long from where they started. just far enough to allow them to converse a bit. "I am very glad to see you, it gives me great hope to see you so vibrant and full of life giving energy."

his daughter was always a blind spot for him. he could not help but picture her even know as the little girl he had on his laps telling stories to. they ended up in the middle of a street an old shop with a door that stood open. a young lady was dusting the outside of the store. she had a vibrant smile and face, she nodded to the mayor and ushured him in.
" if you could leave your men outside. there's not that much room in this old store of mine, and i would much rather the children have space to run then they be crampt between soldiers." he politely asked his daughter. the smell of fresh baked goods came from inside the store itself.

true to his word the store was rather small it boasted 3 tables each with two seats. the mayor took on and another girl came out with tea. this one much older, her eyes still glazed over as if trying to not relive some past trouma.

Ambrosia smiled proudly at her father's praise of her daughter. Eliana giggled in delight at holding her grandfather's hand. Ambrosia hummed lightly as she walked beside her father and bounced Elric with each step. She nodded at his question, "Oh my yes! There are plenty of new plants and herbs to learn at the kingdom, and Azazel is sweet enough to have built me an herb garden with lot's of herbs from all of the kingdoms!" She said exuberantly. It was one of her husbands first gestures to make her happy, and to this day she still loved it.

At her father's request she looked at her guards and smiled softly, "I will be alright with my father around, he may not be young but he'll still lay his life down for me should a problem such as that should arise. He is as protective of me as the Emperor, if not more. I will be safe, you may guard the entrances and perimeter." When they finally agreed she smiled brightly and thanked them before entering with her father.

When they sat down she smiled softly at the woman who brought them tea, a small sadness lit her eyes seeing the trauma still in the old woman's face. She thanked the woman and began to bounce a squirming Elric on her knee as she looked at her father. Her smile diminished a small amount now as she began to get more serious. She lowered her voice so that only her father could hear her, "Father, I have been visited by a spirit in the night when the winter storm threatened to break inside the castle. She claimed to be related to us. As well as told me to call her Queen Grandmama and mentioned a Rey Rey?" She sighed and touched Elric's face gently, smoothing out his hair. Meanwhile Eliana squealed at her grandfather and asked with the opening and closing of her hands for him to pick her up. "I know I am not the only one who saw spirit's that night so I know I am not crazy, so I ask you, not as your Empress but as your daughter. What does it all mean? What else hasn't been told to me?"

Joachim could not help but laugh, his daughter had truly grown into the role of Empress. He took a sip of his tea, a smile still on his face. " i see so i was not the only one visited." he closed his eyes letting the taste and warmth of tea spread through him. So his daughter had met his mother. He wondered what she thought about her. in truth he wanted to get lost in old memories. but this was not the time for such things.

He placed his tea cup down his smile slowly leaving him as he looked at his daughter and his grandchildren. "Rey Rey is what my mother used to call me. What has not been told to you is simply my side of the family."

He took another sip of tea. " I am not originally from Ethe, I am actually The son of the late Queen Enthrallia of bellriss. My father was from ethe. i do not kno how they met or why mother took him as a lover but she did. In bellriss it is customary that the throne go down the female lineage. so i was never really that important to cause any trouble for her. She did take care of us tho."

the woman came back with a circular cake that smelled of lemons, Joachim cut the cake into slices as he continued. the only sign betraying hi emotions was the subtle twitching of his hand as he cut into the spounge " there was an incident one day. I was not able to keep my sister alive. people begn to blame the Ethian people. my mother as wise as she was. had my father take my brothers and escape to Ethe. To escape and to live. Father could never really get anywhere after that. and you know the rest. my own life has not been one of to much exitement." he took he placed a slice for his daughter in front of her and a slice for himself. he wodnered if he shoudl tell her about her aunt. he wanted to, but it woudl be dificult to explain how his aunt was hysteria a woman who to the rest of the world was born after the death of his mother " The death of my sister is why i work so hard. i never want to fail at something i am supposed to do again. and so far i have not. except for the death of your mother and brother. i pray for them everyday."
