A lot happened in a very short span of time between Amias's joke and a somewhat perplexing little Nai showing herself again. Almira began to speak, but was cut off by her senses, compressed over the area so her sixth sense could alert her to movements ever so minute that even werewolves and mer might miss it. She didn't need it to feel the rumble as the creature made a beeline for them. Amias backed away a step or two, an she filled in the space he made at the head of their group. So many sources of magnetism in such a small space was hard to really get your head wrapped cleanly around. Along every inch of her skin she felt a tingle, not uncomfortable or particularly pleasant. Like hearing and sight it was just always there. Magnetism. A world at her beck and call.

                          Her turn to show off.

Her wings suddenly fully extended, her eyes closing behind her glasses as she rose. To Nai she offered a warning that doubled as a bit of a cheeky response on her behalf to the old man. "You know, he's right nai. To those of our lineage, it is clear to see we are dangerous. Even if smaller, less bravado-aligned individuals like you carry the power to fell whole worlds. Still... accidentally killing you may be difficult but not, by any means, impossible." The creature made itself visible as Aurelia reached the point of height she wanted. So much potency in her blood, the power of her Gene mod, her blood, the HMO, all of it welling up. amias could feel the metal resonate with her, see it if he looked. If he looked at her, he would see green lines like Elessia's power tracing through her clothing from the wings, horns and tail. Her eyes stained green in fractals, spreading across every inch of her body like she might blow apart. The Tribrid had Ascended, and likely Nai could feel her magnetic power as she tore into the metal around her, forcefully tearing it into the air around her. She moved in to meet the monster long before it reared it's head, freeing Amias's senses from the assault she would be putting it through. She was her own planet's worth in magnetic strength, and the metal he'd summoned and used was now hers to play with. Their push and pull, one's attack being the fuel for the next, created an interesting and difficult to adapt to combination.

A hole in reality tore open behind her and the full breadth of her arsenal, dozens of small arms of all kinds, several rocket launchers, a railgun, a minigun, missile pods and a special shotgun entered the frenzy of flying metal extending several hundred yards around her. The movements she made in the massive cave were hard to follow for anyone, such was nigh on teleporting speeds Elessia ha bequeathed upon her, and the massive Wurm, about the size of a 6 story building and as thick as several tanks tried in vain to attack her with blasts of acid. Nai would see why Amias was slow to actually attack with her as the metal seemed to be locked in her sphere of influence, battering the beast defending them from outgoing attacks. Bullets echoed, explosions rumbled, all accosting the beast as Aurelia zipped to and fro. Even her feathers made strafing run where they attacked and then came back to the epicenter. The area around her was perhaps the most chaotic, with a sharp trio of spiraling feathers around her as close as comfortable and lager and large chunks creating a mobile sheild. She didn't need to see it, she could feel everything, and was feeding this input to Amias. At first it would seem like she was pulling his body in random directions with her magnetism like stray attacks. If he cared to pay attention he would have a map of the chaos, a better vision to what she was doing. She was drawing it to one side of the cave, pushing and pulling with her sustained assault; possibly the highest offensive potential in all of Axiom's mortals. The bold claim was backed by the visage, hundreds of bullets and explosions, her full arsenal. Going big before going home. A blast from her tail freed itself, tearing into the monster's eye and deep into it's head, evoking a violent response of lashing out and screaming. For amias and Nai, a clear opening, a wound they could tear deeper into until it's entire head had been torn open and removed by them all. As long as she had bullets and energy, she would keep tearing away, doing as much damage as one could expect to something so huge and tough.

The pieces of it's body being torn away gave clue that it was a lot.

[Dont feel like listing the techs, but she did all the things she can do, and hit the eyedirectly with an sss rank attack. Do your worst!]

                          Abilities/Weapons:
                          Adjustment Passive
                          Requires Glancing
This is a skill that will come depending on your target. The more you miss while using this the more accurate you are in the next shot, you are adjusting yourself to your opponent's dodges. This is if you can still see them and if you miss. If they block your attack or get hit by it the effect of adjustment wont take place. There is however a side effect, since you are focused on shooting at them you are not quite capable of dodging. Adjustment is a solo skill it cannot be used in conjunction with other skills except for reloading skills until Expert rank. It must reset when you stop shooting, so you have to constantly lay a reign of fire on a target for it to stack over posts. By the third post, them dodging alone wouldn't be good enough if you don't lose your lock on them.

                          The Sight
Just like their counterpart (the Nephilim) the Diabolos can read the auras about them and see things for what they are. This allows them to pinpoint an opponent's energy level(rank), along with the ability to naturally see energy.

                          • Electromagnetic Manipulation
Even without expending energy, the Diabolos can manipulate electromagnetic fields. This allows them to levitate their own weapons and manipulate them with great speed, power and precision. Furthermore, they may sense metal and disturbances in electromagnetic fields; for example, if there is a destructive event happening even across the world, they will know it is ongoing, just not who or what is involved. They can sense earthquakes and other such things, to name a few events that would trigger this sense.

You may also compress this magnetic field within simply a large area around you; this allows you to perceive movements around you.

                          • Pain Inversion
This is a strength and a weakness. Pain Inversion allows for a Diabolos' abilities to be stronger based on their physical health. This does not increase ability rank, but rather size, speed and precision. At full condition, you will be able to manipulate larger masses and fling them at enemies as if ballistic homing missiles. When near death, you will need great concentration to do that same thing and will be able to manipulate significantly less at once.

                          • Zenith Passive
It's a common saying that anything is a weapon in the hands of a master, this concept is made real by the Weapon Master as they naturally coat any and all weapons they wield with energy. This results in two things, the weapons are made stronger by a rank, and they can strike things they normally shouldn't be able to, such as Shades. This stacks with other damage bonuses. Total weapon damage stacking cannot go past +3 ranks.

                          Sight Lock Passive
This skill is necessary for any and all gunslingers to keep in mind, letting them gain a mental lock-on on the foe. So long as the foe is in any form of view, without anything to obstruct the view, such as a smoke screen or any visual type of illusions. Another bonus is that the Gunslinger can utilize the reflections of anything to find their opponent. The gunslinger can even quick draw with their gun, in a blink of an eye, they can shoot a target in their sight, meaning the opponent has to see and react to the draw of the gun or the moment upon firing.

Nai had nothing like the Sight that the Diablos did. However, she didn't need it to know something was coming. A great rumbling shook the tunnel, and Nai shifted a leg for a wider, stabler stance. Whatever this was, she expected it to be big. Although, she didn't bother to waste any energy on trying to estimate exactly how big.

She did, however, follow orders, backing off to place herself very clearly behind the two hard hitters. She'd patiently wait for her chance to strike, or maybe this time she'll just be cleaning up whatever happened to get close. If she didn't end up needing to do anything at all, then more power to her.

While Nai's eyes didn't track Almira's ascent, her ears very clearly heard the cheek. She had no room to reply because by the time her socially stunted self could even decide whether she felt like responding or not, Almira had completed her transformation. Despite having no amazing sense of her own, Nai could feel the power that emanated from her, Almira's magnetic waves rolling through the air much like the approaching wurm's seismic waves rolled through the ground. Except, Almira was just one woman, not a looming behemoth like the approaching enemy.

Only after Almira had approached the beast for an attack did Nai understand what she had meant with her little comment earlier. The metal that gathered to Almira and the pull Nai felt on her body as far away as she was proved to only be the precursor, and not the main show. Nope. In a move Nai, who disliked doing more than necessary, didn't quite understand, Almira added guns and projectiles of all sorts to her already menacing attack. There was so much orbiting her at this point, that the rather useless question, circled through Nai's head. There was even a smidge of emotion on her face. Not a smile or a frown. No, it was a rather neutral expression--tight set lips and eyes that blinked a little more often than normal--that was meant to represent exactly how extra Nai thought this attack was. especially with the insane speeds everything took place at.

However, who was Nai to complain? She didn't know the strength of these beasts herself, just that even the weakest had armor harder than she could comfortably pierce. Plus, Almira moved too quickly for Nai to truly criticize anything. The assassin didn't know if Almira was really using everything she had pulled out. What the assassin did know-tice, though, was that Almira had pierced the shell. This could be her opening, a weak spot to attack at.

After a quick glance at Amias showed Nai a rather lax face, content with merely watching, Nai slipped her way into the fight, double-timing it to cover the not small distance. As she approached the 5 meter mark from the wurm, she would completely disappear, melding into the shadows with Shadow Meld. A moment later, she'd jump out of the shadows 4 meters closer and a little over a meter away from the behemoth to launch a Shadow Strike of shuriken at the opened wound before her feet touched the ground, each star (or at least the first) hitting for one rank more power that usual.

Of the barrage that hit, only one was real and charged with Grand Implosion Star. The other four, all leading the way, were Detonation Afterimages, and they forged the path into the open wound, exploding upon contact with the flesh if they weren't stopped. The result Nai intended was for the afterimages to clear away flesh, allowing the Grand Imposion Star, on a two post timer, to burrow deeper.

Nai recognized her energy level as the first series of explosions hit the wurms innards. However, she didn't move away just yet, keeping a careful eye on all parties, Wurm and Almira, to gauge if she could get in another strike or would need to expend resources to dodge away. [Sloth 4/20 posts]

Energy: 925/1850

• Shadow Meld D
The assassin class also has this skill though they use it differently. Using a focus of energy you distort a shadow to actually fuse with a you (not your own). This shadow must be quite dark for it to be effective. Once fused with a shadow you are nigh invisible. Can be used at night almost anywhere, even in lain view. In no is the shadow a shield you can still be attacked by a slash though you are almost unseen.

• Shadow Strike A
Requires: Shadow Meld, Master Rank
First the ninja must preform Shadow Meld and lure the target in between two dark shadows one of which he is melded into. The ninja quickly dashes out of hiding appearing approximately a meter away from the target leaving little time for the target to react. As soon as the slash attempt is made you quickly meld into the opposite shadow. The energy also makes the blade used quite sharp, boosting the damage by +1 and allowing it to cleave through armor of most types.

• Detonation Afterimage: B
Requires: Detonation Image, Afterimage
One of the more effective distraction techniques in a ninja’s arsenal. The ninja, using the mastery of the mirror image technique and combining it with the Detonation Image technique, creates a group of four mirror images that can attack and move around. These images will fall apart at the first contact with anything other than the ground – meaning if they swing their sword and it connects, or if they get hit by a bullet – and instead of bursting into mist, these images explode with an outstanding amount of force backed up with the user's element. If it is earth, then chunks of rocks are thrown everywhere capable of breaking bones, if it is water, boiling mist will be sent everywhere causing pustules to rise on the targets skin, if it is fire it explodes like a grenade, if it is wind it sends several blades of wind everywhere. This technique is highly useful for escaping from a force that is stronger than the ninja using the technique is.

Grand Implosion Star S
Requires Implosion Star
This is a much stronger version of the Implosion Star. This technique can only be used by the Ninja class. Two posts after a shuriken is charged with this technique it will detonate. An area of fifty feet will be drawn inwards, crushing any material weaker than S-rank within it.

As he predicted, the carnage that followed was wholly satisfying. Guns, bullets, rockets, and explosions littered the entirety of the beast's physical body. Hunks of broken armor and meat began falling from the sides of the beasts, akin to an avalanche of flesh. "I see we're going for the kill, then. Good. We've spent enough time assessing her forces anyway." The Wurm Queen appeared to have a very direct mentality when it came to dispatching her forces. Apparently, it was better to lose a valuable soldier or two than sacrificing the entire horde to hold off her attackers. Likely, that was because any number of those creatures could potentially grow to the size of the behemoth before them.

And even if that meant that only ten or twenty of the horde grew to this size...that was still ten or twenty that lived in lieu of the one dying now. Apparently, she saw fit to gamble on the growth of the next generation over sending them to die now. "You've already done plenty of exterior damage, so I suppose I'll start with the easy work." With his swordspear having been drawn for so long, the accumulation of the black mist had started to become clearly evident, even to creatures the size of this particular Wurm. With a simple mental flex, two portions of the mist formed into what appeared to be ritual circles. Extending his weapon like a mage's staff, Amias would begin to chant, a malicious energy forming at the tip of his blade.

"Krum danva, anthe kre yter krum danva. Laktor ekrut antha mertor, dissit akrem, Vaet Ashkra!" From the left circle, a tremendous sphere of dark energies rose and hovered in the air. For a brief moment, it hovered there in silence before raining an innumerable set of dark blasts of energy upon the wurm, a scattered pattern blasting into the exposed portions of skin, as well as tearing up new ground for the darkness to permeate. Were they paying attention, his partners would see a strange, ominously glowing rune appear on the head of the beast.

"Vaet feuer, tekra anthak sik devol. Maret ekke lekte ankhe. Imnit lovok, zarek lovok, Ekret Lovok!" From the ritual circle to the right, a massive sphere of hellflames rose. Similarly to its companion sphere, the energy would take but a brief pause to coagulate before erupting in a vicious, continuous stream of searing flames, scorching a path down the side of the beast, and eliciting a pained cry. Apparently, it had finally had enough of the attacks, and decided to let loose one of its own.

From its mouth, a horrendous surge of bile and acid shot forward in a gigantic arc, threatening the three humanoids as well as the dragon. As a consequence, the wave of acid also appeared to be what humanoid military systems classified as SSS, or even higher. The guns, the rockets, Amias' spheres...everything was consumed in this wave, the likes of which spanned outwards and upwards at least half the diameter of the cave, a tremendous assault.

But before the flames were extinguished, they had performed their function. Near the other rune's location atop the head of the beast, a crimson mark took shape. The ritual was complete. Now, Amias need only trigger the end unless someone stole that spotlight from him. But the biggest question now was this; how was the party to react to a life-rending wave of acid, spanning multitudes higher and wider than them? Already, it had consumed their attacks and was now bearing on them rapidly. The demon had a rather simple means of escape as his wings began to spread wide, but his major concern was for the assassin. What was her plan?

Just seconds before Amias's attack, the Black Baroness maneuvered through the air like a fly around the massive target, putting herself behind it by quite a far distance before it even felt his attack. This was the advantage of being as fast and as powerful as her. She didn't even need to be close to cause such massive damage, and she was nowhere near done. Not even close. Her personal arsenal was fully deployed but there was still more to be seen. Even as the wave of acid was released, Aurelia had already made herself safe from whatever was to come. As the acid consumed many of her more mundane weapons, she flung the ones more dear to her from the cave mouth, sending them skyward and out of harms way. Simultaneously, she produced two orbs from her hands, both of which she consumed in hurried bites. She smiled as a scream so loud even outside the cave the two would hear it rang out, and a red pitch painted everything they could see. When the sound was cut off, the acid was still moving towards them, but the monster would have a whole world of new issues. Shadows, hundreds upon hundreds of shadows leaked from her body and flooding into the open wound on the creature. It's cries were quickly muffled as the shadows tore through it's body and flooded it's throat and mouth, silencing it as Almira watched with a sadistic sense of satisfaction as it's acidic blood failed to even harm the shadows as they rended it's body. By the time she called her servants to heel, the monster was a bloody paste. That was what they would see when the acid cleared. She flew over it, her wings no longer metallic death machines but simple, black and white, flowing appendages. The green of the Elder Blood calmed itself as Almira allowed her body to come down from it's high and she set herself down out of the way of leftover acid, waiting to see what became of her allies.

In its death throes, the wurm had launched a final attack mere feet away from Nai. Nai dodged. Certain of the distance, she Tricked her way to the back of the Wurm, leaving a loud and distracting explosion in her wake.

More importantly, she felt her body grow sluggish. Nai had always wanted to finish a job in the most efficient way possible, but this was the first time even she had suffered from some sort of physical detriment simply because she wished that a battle had ended sooner.

It seemed that her wish would be granted soon, though, assuming that the wurm queen sent no more soldiers. From behind the wurm, Nai watched the dance of shadows Almira orchestrated upon the giant wurm's soon-to-be corpse. Acidic vestiges of its body flew everywhere, which would have been great if Nai wasn't right behind it. She wanted to just screw it all and hope that her hood and coat would keep the acid from reaching her, but that was a lot of acid. She forcibly moved herself, her clothes taking a flew splatters as she backed away and out of the unexpected rain.

That was when Almira landed not far from her, having make the trip all the way to the back of the wurm, an unneeded action Nai didn't understand. Verifying death wasn't necessary. The large pile of goo before her couldn't even be used as a platform now, which Nai had intended to do to avoid the remains of the acid attack that was probably flowing slowly back down the slope of the cave.

If no more wurms came for the trio, then Sloth's passive debuff probably ended after being active for only a little bit. [Sloth 5/20 posts] [Grand Implosion Star 1/2]

Energy: 675/1850

• Trick S
Requires: Master rank
This one is actually the most powerful skill in the right hand. The assassin will literally disappear and appear behind the target. They will first seem to explode in the color of their clothing. The explosion is quite loud and distracting. Note the energy of your enemy will actually stop you from doing this right next to them instead you will be about a meters distance from them.

Fortunately, the two of them had handled the rest of the wurm quite splendidly, allowing Amias to simply do the brief work of dodging the creature's acid. Similarly to Aurelia, Amias was at his most dexterous when flying, nearly transcending what was considered the limits of mortal speed. Taking a brief moment to soar back, he would first check to see where Omnath had ended up in all of this. To his relief, the dragon was safely following Aurelia along her flight path, moving out of harm's way almost pre-emptively. Once he'd confirmed his partner's safety, Amias darted through the air, above the wave and over to his compatriots. Though, he did find humor in the situation. "Good work, friends. Now we have plenty of delicious wurm paste to bring back to the people of the world." After keeping a straight face at the pair just long enough to make his point, the Dragoon would then beckon Omnath to begin flying out of the cave to cover their escape. "I don't believe we'll need to be here any longer...so if the two of you wouldn't mind..."

The demon began to focus an absurd amount of energy, to the point where even creatures without sensing would likely be able to notice. From the inside of the cave, there was a great rumbling, one that viciously shook the ground around them; was it the queen? They didn't have any time left to find out. The group of them had other objectives to fulfill, and they were long-past due. "I'll be relocating you a bit, just so I can clear our exit." At that point, a twitch of his hands would shift the metal underneath them, flipping it up underneath the two of them like a springboard to send them flying. Their destination? The back of the now-flying Omnath. If they allowed themselves to land, behind them would be an interesting sight.

Amias was surrounded in a strange, dark, smoke-like substance before it fanned out around him, forming what appeared to be ritual circles and pentagrams in a peculiar formation. Somewhere in the gruesome paste, the marks from before began to shine brightly, illuminating the cave as the wurm's liquefied body continued to slide further and further down the cave. Soon, the light revealed the faintest twitches of movement down the cave; the rumbling hadn't been from one wurm. It was from hundreds, maybe thousands of them approaching to avenge their fallen brother. Unfortunately, this group wouldn't really get the chance. This absurd concentration of energy around Amias seemed to reach a peak, and at that moment the ritual circles sprang to life, working in unison with the marks to paralyze any creature that entered the radius of the now-massive ritual circles. In short, he'd stopped the wurms' advance, now piling them one on top of another for a final execution before they fled.

It was at this point that he began to chant, a final verse in demonica to seal the deal. "Akreen lavok danak, vaet ashkra, kre ekret lovok. Dik skret anthe maret. Dik skret anthe likve enkret mikret. Tikvet lovek, sibek navak lovek! Tempek Rakrent!" In this moment, the ritual circle looked like times' square on new years. A catastrophically powerful column of blue-black energy erupted from the entirety of the ritual circle, incinerating any wurms unfortunate enough to be paralyzed within the circle at the time of its forming, as well as some of the wurms who mindlessly continued their charge to kill the invaders. The ground shook with the force of an earthquake most powerful, and the walls of the Wurm Ore began to crack from the sheer kinetic force. Eventually, they got the point. The skill used was an SSS-ranked Demon Spell, Fallen Down. As the column of energy tore through the ground, it simultaneously launched into the sky like a rocket, a massive beacon of the beginning of the war against the Wurms. Against Makassar.

Anyone thinking of taking action against that man and his partners might have seen this as a chance; as a distraction big enough to draw his attention for a brief moment. As for this trio, though; Aurelia and Nai would likely feel the air still rippling with energy, even now being outside the cave. They could see the entire column of energy, being as wide as the cave itself. Whatever their thoughts were, it wouldn't be long before the spell's caster joined them. After a brief delay, Omnath breathed a cloud of the black mist out of his mouth, allowing Amias to seemingly appear from within it. "Sorry for the delay, was clearing up some loose ends. How did you feel about the visit?"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Nai woke up in the desert, at the brink of a gaping maw of a tunnel, really confused. Confused about what? She wasn't sure herself. Eyes scrunching up real tight and hand holding her head as she sat up, this was probably the first time in her life that she recalled waking up so immediately, instead of the usual cautiously passive approach of feigning sleep for the first few moments.

Her eyes opened to see a bewildering sight. A woman dressed for action walked in front of her, confidently approaching the hole. A man dressed in formal attire, too clean for the desert, also walked forwards, formerly unseen wings spreading wide open. The arid desert she had already expected from the touch of dry wind running against her face, but these folks. She had neither heard nor felt their approach, and they continued to remain silent images. Like ghosts, they moved.

Like ghosts, they disappeared, only further bewildering Nai. The gunslinger... assassin?... what was she again? No, now? She scrunched her eyes again, trying to get to the bottom of this, a train of thought that naturally led to her remembering... remembering something... but no. A pain shot through her head. Her thoughts stopped, but not before a pain also shot through her heart. The feeling of forgetting something important, in a way Nai couldn't remember how to describe, left her taking deep breaths.

Why hasn't Sloth done anything yet? Another pang of pain. Then it quickly receded, as if the pain itself was uncertain. Ehm. Did she have sloth? Did she not?... Well, in the end, that confusion didn't matter. She didn't have Sloth now. Only the now mattered, and right now, she needed to find a way out of this desert she had... never been in, right?

Nai stood up, and looked around. She tried hard to focus on what to do now, when suddenly, she heard the sounds of battle coming from the large hole. Her head snapped in that direction. Bright red light streamed out of the abyss. The screams of countless wyrms. The vibrations of several large explosions. Then it ceased, like it never happened before.

She heard and saw things now?... That was... unfortunate. She grasped the reality of this situation rather easily, though, in that inhuman, emotionless way of hers, yet, that earlier feeling? The pain she felt in her heart? She was still confused by it. She couldn't stop herself from wondering what that was about, and that curiosity, in and of itself, further confused her.

She screams. Not with her throat, but rather with raw power exuding from her body. Tufts of black feathers surrounded her, each one suspended around her body despite the bullet like speeds she scorched the sky with. Elessia was dead, her sister in charge of an army of valkyries, and her heart had sought the east. Aurelia Samaelson, the Black Baroness had flown nearly an hour without stopping, away from her past and directly towards a future that she didn't yet know. Upon her back, the wings of the fallen goddess of space carried her along with horrendous speed and no destination. It was taxing, keeping up that kind of power, but it didn't show behind her black sun glasses and rippling energy leaking in golden, black and green from fractal patterns in her skin. Like she could come apart at any moment. But just as the mark of her father shone out steadfast and hardy so too did the hybrid.

When at last she came within view of Amaranthine, she was a green ray of energy carving the clouds apart. It wasn't until about where Wyrms would one day soon be nesting where Aurelia happened to stop hard, body glowing with heat and energy, a sonic boom ending around her body as she hung high above the desert, above a cave, above where a certain chronokeeper now stood. A face hard to recognize, but an energy she had heard of in stories that had passed by. Within seconds, Nai would find Aurelia landing on the ground before her, with black wings unfurled fully, billowing sand away from her landing point. "Well well well, I find myself to be in rare company," Aurelia said offering a bow to the woman, obviously gaudy and sarcastic. "What brings a godslayer to this giant cave in the middle of nowhere?"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The pit before Nai puzzled her, periodically replaced with a cave many sizes larger than were it currently sat at now. Whatever the case, it wasn't ready now, which was a right shame. Perhaps she thought so simply because she grew up in Luimiria, where power traditionally reigned supreme. However, once she had realized that there was a problem she couldn't put her finger on and that she had no other leads on how to solve it, Nai didn't waste any time in deciding that she would focus on growing stronger for now. She recognized this place now as part of the Eastern Continent. Fantastic, though Nai didn't actually feel strong words such as that, she could find some monsters to practice on. The emotionless gunslinger was just about to set off when she received an unwelcome guest.

The scream of an angel as she fell from the heavens attracted Nai's attention. Her body tensed with all the familiarity of being attacked as she watched the meteor-like descent, but was this just another vision or was it reality? Black wings unfurled in their full splendor, stopping at a breakneck pace that sent a sonic boom coursing through Nai. This, she felt, was enough to gauge that this was, indeed reality. Desert sands blew from the woman's landing spot, much of it getting in Nai's eyes. A normal human would have been awed and impressed by the landing. Unfortunately, Nai was more bothered by two points: 1) sand was getting in her eyes and it hurt and 2) she had just seen this woman.

Aurelia descended within mere seconds, and as she bowed, Nai was greeted with disorienting double vision. Two Aurelias stood before her, one bowed sarcastically and the other stood straight with professionalism. Two voices overlapped.

"Well well well, I find myself to be in rare company."

"A fellow godslayer."

"What brings a godslayer to this giant cave in the middle of nowhere?"

"Two was already a crowd, when it comes to our kind mon Ami-as."

Nai stared down the two Aurelias with imperceptibly narrowed eyes. Both a groan and mild irritation stirred deep within Nai, yet at the same time, she felt a spark of recognition and even... She wasn't sure. She couldn't be sure. Camaraderie? Nai? Nonsense, that was like expecting Nai to speak in full senses.

In the end, of course suspicion won the spot of primary emotion. Whatever inexplicable impressions Nai had of Aurelia, all of that paled when she remembered the time she had nearly died to her own King. She started with the bare minimum of an answer to move on from Aurelia's question, "To prepare," before flipping the question back on Aurelia, "The same to you. Aurelia Samaelson, Black Baroness, Godslayer. Queenslayer. Why approach me?". Her voice monotonous and dull in spite of the demands made, the orphan spoke in sharp contrast with the baroness.

After a heavy pause. "Is Amias here?". Nai... had not been able to tell which Aurelia had been the real one. This impending problem hung over Nai with an unseen gravity. She understood the implications of not knowing which Aurelia was real and which fake.

Something was assuredly up with Nai, that much was clear to the golden eyes that peeked from behind polarized lenses that managed to survive a battle with a literal god not even hours before. Aurelia, in not so rare fashion, felt and looked the same besides the wings that were folding in around her body, calming along with her somewhat divine glow. She went from... whatever she looked before back to the picture of normality relative to the world itself. Aurelia didn't mind the look Nai was giving her as much as she did how it felt like she was being looked through. Just before she spoke, something in Nai's perspective would shift, and only a single woman, a single PRESENT would exist for her to perceive, along with just the memory of an epic battle that led to the deaths of the diabolos and her gathered allies. Gruesome, but fast. Niraliel's instructions were rarely clear, but Nai had a directive that would now become clear: Aurelia, Nai, and Amias... they all had to act before it was too late.

The name of a group in Nai's mind: the Desperados. Seek them out. Find them, destroy them, help them, it doesn't matter. Just goad them into action.

Of course Aurelia simply responded to what she was prompted with. "What more could there be to prepare for, now? The witch is dead. We killed Elessia today." At that, she smirked at her question, opening her mind to a deep well of power. Magnetism was such a funny thing: everyone had their own magnetic field, but rarely could one be pinpointed from a world away... not like a Diabolos. And then... she found what she was searching for. "He's in ******** Nocturne. Why would you expect him to be here?" She was standoffish by nature, but something was pulling her not to be a total b***h to Nai, and it showed in how she let her arms relax below the cloak her wings created for herself and how she tried to pull away from Nai with her power, to be as unoppressive as possible even if Nai didn't notice.

User ImageBeneath her hood, Nai winced, pain shooting through her head with such force at the sudden memory that she even raised a hand to quell it. What she had suspected, suddenly confirmed. What was vague, now clear. Of course, it didn't make it any pleasant. Recalling one's death and the void devoid of eve emptiness that came after it, follow by the unnatural return to life. Some might have considered that reason to be driven mad with despair. Nai felt no such inclination, at least none she consciously felt, but then again, she had recently begun mixing up the present, future, and past.

It would be a lie to say she was unbothered by the interrupting frequencies. She only appeared unperturbed on the surface. Deciding the standing Aurelia was the present one had only been a stop gap solution, the answer Nai thought most likely and then tossed all her chips into. Inside, Nai's paranoia had begun easing up on her. What if she was wrong? Then what?

Until it all cleared up. To explain what had shifted wasn't something so simple, but it was best likened to a once blurry image sharpening. Aurelia, standing and relaxing before her adjusted into focus, and Nai knew which vision was the present for certain. Her concentration latched onto the stable surface, so incidentally, she happened to very much notice that Aurelia was relaxing.

Nai did not completely follow suit, but the wariness she held around all others eased regarding Aurelia. This person standing before her and the other in that memory, Nai had a distinct feeling that she did not want to see them die. At the same time, it was confusing. Why lower your guard around a stranger?

Looking straight at her target, Nai listened to Aurelia as she digested the directive given to her by Aurelia. Elessia had just died, so this was why Nai had catalogued Aurelia as a godslayer. Nai's new mission was to harass the Desperados, a task easier said than done due to the elusive and delicate nature of the mysterious group. Amias was in Nocturne; Nai certainly had been seeing things. It was convenient that Amias was also in Nocturne, she did not know how yet, but they could group up there.

After Aurelia finished speaking, Nai lowered her hood. Hair self-cut short waved free of the cloth and golden eyes rimmed with silver finally escaped the shadows. Aurelia still hadn't answered Nai's question, but then again, the answer was no longer of importance to Nai. The Desperados were a tricky target. If she was to force them to act, then she didn't really have time to waste. She didn't want to go alone, however. This time, she wanted allies to help her.

Nai considered briefly. Speaking wasn't her forte, especially not in Common, but it wasn't impossible. She answered, first, about Amias, "I thought Amias ruled Amaranthine... I was wrong..." Without Sloth's overbearing presence, she no longer had either the burden to do as little as possible nor the additional mind calculating the most efficient way of performing every little action. It was freeing, she found, and while her voice remained a monotone to answer Aurelia's first question, she spoke more easily, "There is a greater threat than Elessia. I have seen you and Amias die to this threat in the future, and with you, this plane as well... " Nai's eyes closed briefly, brows creasing lightly. Every single time, every thought about that possible future sent pain spearing through her mind and an uncomfortable feeling settling in her chest. She opened her eyes and resumed as if nothing had happened, "I prepare for that, and once more, I would like to work with you two."

Last two paragraphs contain Nai's visible response. The rest is inner thoughts, and the only notable thing for Aurelia to react to there is Nai does notice Aurelia trying to make her comfortable and thus become less wary of Aurelia.

Well, that was totally unexpected. She'd died... alongside basically the only person she though as strong as herself, and the Plane went with them? That was a bit much to simply swallow. "That... is a lot." She noted Nai had calmed herself as Aurelia peeled her offensiveness back and pulled a stack of ammunition boxes from her pocket dimension for a seat for herself, and once more for Nai. "Well, you have my attention now. Amias was king of Amaranthine in this timeline? I haven't heard such a thing but I wouldn't be surprised. Much. All I know is I just got done with world shattering events, and I ran away here to not deal with anymore of them." Aurelia looked pretty perturbed by the news even if she was acting coy. "Doesn't sound like I have a whole lot of choice between helping you and not."

User Image"There is always a choice. You can choose to doubt," Nai suggested, "But then you'd be wrong." Whatever attempts Nai was trying to make to have Aurelia feeling better about being thrust from one godly battle to the next were lost in her monotone.

The visions returned, this time of a time Nai did not know about. She tried to ignore the strange figures that passed by or the jarring changes of the terrain in front of Nai's eyes. However, her trigger-sensitive instincts could not simply ignore. No matter how she tried to keep her eyes focused on Aurelia, they would twitch to the sides at every small change before refocusing back on Aurelia.

Remaining standing and alert, Nai impassively moved into the directive she had just received from Niraliel, "If you have any misgivings, say them now. The first objective is to rouse the Desperados," and though Nai did not say the following, she meant to imply, "there is no room for hesitation when dealing with the Desperados." She couldn't really understand and it was harder to sympathize, but she could recognize that something like anxiety filled Aurelia at the sudden news.
