Many people came to the front of the room to volunteer their time for an investigation, and plans were made for the following evening. Members went their separate ways, each given a list of things to bring when they returned. The Captain smiled brightly as the room emptied out, excited for the adventure and proud of the teamwork that was being shown. As she locked up the bait shop, she turned and looked at the back door.
“Is the door-knob wiggling, or is it just my imagination?” She thought to herself, but shortly dismissed it and headed home. She had to pack a bag similar to the rest of the guild, and make a list of teams and what part of the lake they would be assigned to.
Everyone met back up the following evening just before sunset, equipped with flashlights among the multiple other items that would prepare them for the investigation. Roku sorted the search parties and let them know where to go before setting off with Old Man Logan and a handful of other members. Logan walked their group to the area where he first encountered the light, while other teams searched the docks, the woods surrounding the lake, and even took a boat out on the water.
After a few minutes, Roku and her group heard loud screams echoing across the lake, and they ran to meet others on the docks that were peering out in the center of the lake. A bright, bluish-white light was bouncing around in one spot in front of the team who had went out in the small boat.
What happens next?
Option 1: The Captain and others yell from the shore for the boat to return- they should not risk it!
Option 2: Those in the boat call out in the direction of the light, demanding for whatever is there to show itself
Option 3: Those on the shore run, leaving the people on the water to fend for themselves.
