He watched her pace around as she spoke about the problems of the island and how it as getting to her. When she went to her knees he quickly moved to her and placed his hands on her shoulders crouching down to eye level so that he could get her attention better. "Hey... I know it sucks. This place is our home now as unfortunate as that may be for you. It is the only place people will accept us now as we are the ones who inhabit this island. If you really are at your limit then I will do what I can to help you, as no one should have to do anything alone." He says worried about her.

"I know there are a lot of problems, but remember that most of these children aren't too old or mature enough to be adults even if we need and want them to be right now so that is why we have to be there for them to show them the way and teach them what they must do now. If we don't then you are right, we wont make it, but if we pull it off, think of how many lives we will be saving and not just our own." He had a saddened voice, but a confident one showing he truly believed in what he said. "These squabbles are bound to happen especially as everyone starts to hit puberty, but when times get tough I am sure we will be able to handle it just like we did this last winter."

With a sigh he places his forehead against hers "I don't really know what else I can say to convince you, but one thing for sure is that you aren't alone. Not truly. I can't promise to always be there for you, as I am not sure anyone can, but I will try my best and if there is ever anything you need from me you know where to find me." He brushes some of her hair out of her face and tries his best to console her.

As he brushed her hair from her face she pulled him into a tight embrace. She was shaking as she buried her face into his neck. It had been so long since anyone had been this close to her. She didn't mean to cry on someone she had just met, but Tsukiko couldn't hold it back. He was to warm, and actually alive, something she hadn't known in a long time.

"I'm sorry-about that." She murmured as she let him go. Wiping away her tears as she looked at him. "I-thank you. Thank you for being here tonight." He had saved her from the invading thoughts, and that alone was enough to earn her thanks.

"It's been a long time since I've had someone to be around me...or care about me. Everyone seems to out grown me rather quickly these days. Even my ons dreams are fleeting."

He understood her troubles about the islands well being. No one wanted to admit their troubles, but he for the moment pushed her sad thoughts away. "Thank you, Ace."

He was surprised by the sudden hug as she wept on him. He hugged her back for a second or so letting her use him as needed, until she released and looked into his eyes. He had heard her mumble something about saying sorry, but ignored it as he didn't mind and was glad she was able to use him to hopefully feel better about what was going on around her and to herself.

He smiled nodding happily as she thanked him for a second time and wrapped his arms around her again for a second hug, rubbing the top of her head, smoothing out her hair, and her back trying to comfort her as best as he could. "No problem Tsukiko. I am happy we were able to talk tonight about this stuff. I don't know how long you have felt this way and wish I could have come sooner.

He let time flow again letting the soft wind crash against their bodies as the clouds that were blocking the moon continue to travel and adjust the light that came into the cave. The sound of waves crashing against the rocks was a pleasant sound that would be nice filler for when the two didn't speak.
