His wing growing tired, Kagehoshi gently tucked it next to his body. Aiyana had examined it as thoroughly as possible for the time being so he saw no harm in doing so. He was certain that she would wish to see it again, but felt relieved that she went along with the change in subject for the time being. The larger stallion turned his gaze upward so that he might better see his dear friend. A warmth sparking in his green eyes as he gave a faint nod. "Indeed, Little One. I would not have made it home without you."

Andromeda felt a blush creep across her features. She hadn't expected the attention of both Aiyana and Hoshi, let alone the heartfelt gratitude. The cockatoo recognized that her bonded was withholding the extent of the peril which they had faced from his sister. Aiyana was still so young. Kagehoshi didn't want her to be weighed down by such concerns, and Romy agreed. It suited her just fine since it was her fault the encounter had taken place at all. No matter what either of them said to the contrary. If I hadn't of been so stupid...! Andromeda berated herself, feeling the prickling sensation of guilt once again.

"Let it go, Romy." Hoshi coaxed her. He could sense the tension radiating from her again. "As Aiya has said, you have our thanks. The incident is behind us now, and we have better things to look towards." Andromeda fluttered her wings as if to protest, but whatever she thought to say seemed to die on her beak. A quiet sigh was all the acknowledgement Hoshi received. He found it enough, shifting his attention back to his sister. Kagehoshi used the brief discussion for a distraction in order to better gather his thoughts. Settle here? Vibrant green eyes cast about the glen, taking in every nook and cranny and shadow. Begin a herd anew... His gaze found Star Blayze in the distance. With him? Silence reigned while the stallion sifted through the sudden tangle of emotions. "I--" He locked eyes with Aiyana. "--would love nothing more."

Aiyana watched as her brother folded his wings back against his body, now that she was done looking them over. She would have to make sure he took care of it, so that it didn't get any worse. When Hoshi told his bonded to let it go, she looked back and forth between the pair in thought. She had this sinking suspicion they were not telling her something, however, she knew it wasn't going to be possible to drag it out of them. If there was one thing she had learned about her brother, he would do what he could to protect his sister. That even meant keeping things from her, if he thought it would help. A soft sigh escaped her lips, but she wasn't going to press the matter...least for now. Instead, she waited on pins and needles as he considered what she had spoke about. The mare watched as he looked around, taking in the area. When he finally said he would love to, she let out an excited whinny.

"Oh Hoshi, I am so glad to hear it. The three of us together will make a wonderful herd, one that will be a safe haven. And who knows, maybe we will actually find a girl for you, brother. Star, you should come back over!"she called out excitedly. It was easy to tell the white and blue mare was looking forward to all of this, something she had not been in awhile. This was her home and soon there would be others from all over that would call it such as well.

Kagehoshi smiled warmly at his sister's excitement. As uncomfortable as he was with the circumstances, he felt that he could battle a hundred skinwalkers if it meant that Aiyana was happy. That's what being an older brother was about. So long as she was content then there was nothing else that mattered. "I am more than content, Gentle One." He remarked with a fond chuckle, hearing her comment on a mate for himself. "We are together. We are a family, and that is all that I could wish for." "Hmph," Andromeda peered over his brow so that she could meet his gaze. "More like you're too shy to even think about speaking to another, let alone a mare."

The large stallion rolled his eyes, huffing out an exaggerated breath. Try as he might though, he couldn't stop the faint smile that touched his features. It was good to hear Romy acting like her usual self, even if it was at his expense. "Yes, well, we have more than enough time to prattle on about such things later. For now it is best that we focus on making ready for the arrival of Aiyana's little ones." Hoshi made a sweeping motion with his muzzle that encompassed himself, Aiyana, and Star Blayze. "And the three of us can discuss the particulars of the herd as well."

Star Blayze had been watching Aiyana from the distance as she exchanged words with her brother. The stallion was not sure that he understood the relationship between Kagehoshi and Aiyana but he would never question that Aiyana truly loved him. At times it felt as though the love he felt for the mare would simply consume him. Blinking suddenly Star chuckled softly to himself before composing his expression. It was true that he was hopelessly in love with his mate. Chuckling once more Blayze caught the sound of Aiyana's voice calling him back.

Closing the distance at a gentle trot the stallion moved to stand near Aiyana once more as he gave Hoshi a small nod. He was sure that eventually everything would smooth out. Right now there was the tension of the unknown coursing through everyone. It'd fade though ... it would have to.

Aiyana gave a soft nod of her head to her brother, knowing he was right about them being all together as a family. It brought a sense of calm and excitement to her, she finally had something to call her own once more. The pink haired mare had been on the move for so long, it was nice to have a place to settle down. She was rebuilding a family, something that had been taken away from her when she was so young. Her mind was brought out of her thoughts when she heard the little back and forth between her brother and Andromeda.

"Do not worry, Romy, he will find someone...I am sure of it. We know how he is, it will just take time for him to...come out of his shell. The right girl will knock him off his feet and will brake down that wall he keeps around himself. You never know where you might find love,"she grinned, nuzzling Star as he joined them. Aiyana looked down at her stomach when her little ones were mentioned, knowing they would indeed need to get ready for them. She would make sure they and any foals that came after would know they were loved and protected. She looked up at the stars above her head, wondering if her family was watching over her...if they would be proud. She felt soft tears slide down her cheeks as she thought of it.

"As true as that is," Kagehoshi blushed lightly. "I am not so certain that I am meant to find such love." His voice was but a whisper when he spoke. It was a rare moment of transparency for him. One that he wasn't quite sure why he allowed, yet the words had been spoken and there was no taking them back. "Hoshi--" Andromeda started in with what Hoshi was sure to be a lecture on why his thoughts weren't true. The large stallion didn't feel in the mood for it, however, especially in the presence of Aiyana's mate.

With a quick shake of his head, Hoshi brushed off the awkwardness that threatened to settle over him. "There are more important matters to discuss." His green eyes lifted to catch those of Aiyana and Star Blayze. "Do you know when your little ones are due to enter this world?"
