icemaidenyukina My parents don't believe in abortions unless it's an emergancy (life or death). But I hate that law their trying to pass about teens getting abortions without parents consent. If I had a daughter I would like to know if anybody is going to preform any surgery on her. I would sue them if I could if they ever touched my kid without my consent. 1. their underage and parents are still responsable 2. it can be risky a if something went wrong and they don't know then their is no way they can help. 3. it's another excuse for kids to have sex and get of responablity which teaches them nothing but to lie and hide things behide their parents backs. sue them? hell, if they touched my daughter, they'd die. it is illegal in my state to give a teen an advil or tylenol without written consent... now they are going to do controversial (not to mention lethal to one of the two people involved) surgery? ha.

Lorysa icemaidenyukina The only time it comes up is if I see something and tell my dad about (mostly laughing and some of stuff the pro-choicers say and how I respond back) and my mom would just tell me to stop arguing with them (she doesn't quiet get debates but I guess I could be alittle nicer if their nicer to me) but that hasn't happened in awhile. Somethings if I read an artical i'll tell them about it. My mom does too.

lymelady She's your mother. It's hard to say to your mother, "You're wrong!" Family is annoying sometimes. My family is mostly pro-choice, and remind me of it everytime. They have no idea I'm pro-life because at 100 and 101 respectively, I want my grandparents to spend their last years in a peaceful family, not one that's torn apart by conflict. Broorel's mom is DEFINITELY pro-choice. But there's this thing about parents. They may not always agree with you, but it's hard enough to get along with them (usually) without bringing politics in. Papa actually provokes people into discussing politics just to get them aggrivated, so I stopped responding. Maybe if you don't respond to your mom, she'll stop? I dunno. It sounds like she's goading you on, since she knows you're pro-life and still makes fun of them. You could always respond with, "How can you call yourself pro-choice if you don't support rape?" But I'd never get away with saying something like that to my mother in a disrespectful way. I would in a respectful way though. It's not like she just brings it up out of the blue. Like for example, we're sitting there watching Law and Order, the show starts in on a case about pro-life people killing abortion doctors(In case anyone in here doesn't know Law and Order for the most part is Liberally biased in most topics and is evident through the show). She then makes statements how pro-life people can get really violent and hurt people. Then I say something like pro-choicers get just as violent its just not seen as much in the media. And then she states that pro-lifers use violence more often. Blah Blah Blah. And by the end of it we're in a debate pro-life v. pro-choice and I'm sick of it. As for your statement, I don't think she'd get really upset as long as I didn't say it in a manner that would be considered rude. She's so stubborn sometimes, she's one of those, I believe its murder but seperation of church and state, type of pro-choicers, which in my opinion are some of the staunchest.

wow. im sorry that your mother feels that way. im not sure wat my mom believes. i think she doesnt like it because its kinda a religious thing. wat really upsets me about abortion is that people are saying its okay and stuff but wat if your mother got an abortion and didnt have you? they should really think about it.

Luckily, nearly everyone in my family is pro-life or at least understands the way we feel to not push the point too far.

hellokittypv wow. im sorry that your mother feels that way. im not sure wat my mom believes. i think she doesnt like it because its kinda a religious thing. wat really upsets me about abortion is that people are saying its okay and stuff but wat if your mother got an abortion and didnt have you? they should really think about it. A lot of people say, "Well, I'd never know so it'd be okay!" or, "I'm glad my mother wasn't legally compelled to choose me!" To them, the unborn can't think, can't feel, some even think that the unborn aren't even alive. I think they think they made it out alive and now they want to be able to have sex without worrying, so they think, "Well, it's not a person."

Yeesh, your mom needs to have some respect for you...
Pretty much all my friends are pro-choice, but my immediate family is all pro-life. I'm so lucky I have the same political views as my parents...there are maybe a few little things we disagree on, but that's it.
