Personality info:: Falsely cheery, he uses his outward personality as a means to manipulate those around him. He acts how they expect him to act so that they will react predictably in kind. Inwardly, he's paranoid and calculative. He has only ever truly considered one person to be called friend.

At a young age, while he was playing in the field at night, Slyn was kidnapped by a group of Gerudo hoping to receive ransom. In their folly, they failed to discover who the child belonged to. Without anyone to demand ransom from, they took in Slyn as their own. They began to teach him dark magic. Primarily necromancy. One night, the Hylian Knights had begun a raid on the Gerudo camp. He and his master hid. His master, frantic in tone, began to tell Slyn a great secret. Before she could finish, a Hylian Knight impaled her with his sword. The knights took him back to the kingdom, returning him to his parents. Late one night, he stole away to the camp.. He revived his master with necromancy so that he might hear her final secret. Alas,she was not a being of this world. She stared blankly and said nothing, a mere servant amongst the dead. He struck her down, taking her shovel and books. He put on a fake smile and applied for an aprenticeship with the castle magician.
