Gio's blissful day was disturbed when Val came crashing through the rooftop doors. He sat up and looked at her, readying himself to explain what exactly was going on. Yo~. Everyone's talking about how I-----. He was bombarded with angry questions. Gio didn't know why she was all mad for, I mean wasn't she suppose to be happy about this? Then he actually listened to what she had to say. She thinks it was all a set up.......? Is she stupid or something? He looked down with an angry frown. He couldn't believe how simple minded she was. He really couldn't believe how mad she was. Gio didn't understand what he did wrong. If anything this was all Hisagi's doing! She's got the wrong idea entirely. Oui! Are you an idiot? Do you really think that was all set up? You must have gotten hit pretty hard to think that the whole thing was staged! He yelled back at her. Are you saying that you would just walk away from someone being harassed? If only you could have seen how scared you looked! You're delusional Val! He roared at her as she raced away from the rooftop. Gio stood up and leaned on the rooftop guard rails, angrier than ever. It was all real you idiot.... All real... He sighed while looking down at the school's gates. Why was she acting this way? Was it because of her status as Class President? Hopefully she comes to realize that helping others is better than someone's popular status and ego. Just for once when Gio decided to be a nice person, he gets shut down by the only person he wanted to be accepted by. He was an idiot for thinking all of this would work out. A "thank you" would have been nice. Gio balled his hands into built up anger then let it all out with a very large sigh. You really are stupid... He said while tucking his hands in his pockets and walking out of school. He didn't want to deal with the school or Valerie for right now. If she wanted to act this way, then he wouldn't take no part in it. Hisagi, who had just walked out from the restrooms, saw Val racing to class. "Hey! You're Gio's girlfriend right? Have you heard about the video I sent around school? He's quite the hero huh? I never knew he could fight so swiftly! If only I could be like him....." Hisagi sighed. He crossed his arms and wished to be like Gio but then he realized that Val wasn't there anymore. He was so caught up with all the rambling that he probably scared Val away. Hisagi groaned and awkwardly walked back to his class. "H-Hopefully I didn't freak her out or something... Where's Gio when you need him?" He asked himself.

Val hadn't heard his reply back on the rooftops. She actually had feelings for a guy who would set that kind of thing up? But, she could be wrong about that, right? Was it a coincidence that someone caught sight of them and decided to take out a camera? Whatever, she had already yelled at him, the damage was done. Just as she took a quick peek out the window, Val saw Gio leave the school. Good, now she didn't have to worry about seeing him all day. Just when homeroom was about to start, she and the VC got up and went to the front of the class. They talked about the class trip next week, handed out the forms and envelopes, and told them how much the trip would be. Heard a lot of groaning and complaining from everyone but that was the way it had to be. After that, classes went on like normal. Everyone kept trying to talk to her throughout the day, Val ignored them all. She was still upset by this whole ordeal. After school was over, she went to the club room to perform some duties of the Class President. She didn't feel like talking and wanted to go home as soon as possible. When all that fuss was done, she picked up her things and high tailed it out of there, out of the building

As the day strolled along, Gio took his sweet time wandering around town. He didn't know what to think or how to feel. If anything, he was crushed. He felt how betrayed Val was, he truly felt her pain and tried his best not to show it. Damn it! Why am I letting her get to me? I.... I should have other things to worry about..... Right? He asked himself while walking past the ramen shop. He noticed some dried up blood on the ground where he was laying. He looked down the alley way where he saved Val. Deep within the alleyway, a group of local shop owners were inspecting the area where Gio punched a hole in. He looked down on his hand then shook the thought away. He continued to walk around the town, hoping not to see Val again. Just a couple of streets down, the same group that assaulted Gio and Val were spying on Gio. The were keeping tabs on him. They wanted revenge. Every person in the group were bandaged up and limping around. They wanted to take Gio by surprise and seeing how he was acting, they knew that their time would come soon. There he is. The devil that has a good heart. That good heart of his is going to get him killed one day. I just know it. Am I right new guy? The leader said to himself as he continued to watch Gio. The group began to chatter and think up plans but there was a new face behind them. He was quiet the entire time. He was leaning on the wall with his eyes closed. Whatever you say. I know how he looks like now. Don't worry about him. The new guy of the group reassured the leader. Soon, there would be a big fight between the devil and the grim reaper. Back at the school, Hisagi's day went along as usual until he saw Val. It seemed like she was bothered by something. He hurried over to her and began walking beside her. Yo! What's with all the hurry if you don't mind me asking? He let out a smile. Hisagi was the friendlier person between him and Gio and he took pride in it. If Val was Gio's friend then she was his friend too. Hisagi hoped that he wasn't awkward as he was before so he carefully picked his words before sparking up a conversation.

Val was almost out of the school grounds when she heard a voice calling out for her. It was Hisagi, she recognized it from the ramen shop. She stopped, turned around and tried to muster up a smile, "Oh, hello Hisagi. I just want to get away from here." she looked downright miserable, "There was this video going around school of Gio saving me. Now everyone thinks we are going out." Val shook her head , "That fight and video was obviously a set up, directed by him to humiliate me. I always knew he wanted to do something big like that. He always messes with me. But this time it was too much." she closed her eyes and tried to compose herself, still reliving the nightmare of yesterday, "I don't want to see him at all, not if I can help it." Val turned and practically ran out of the school gates, trying not to show her tears. She wasn't watching where she was going and bumped into someone. She muttered sorry and kept running. Little did she know, she had run into the new face of the group of guys that Gio beat up

Gio sneezed as he passed by Val's house. Ugh, someone's talking about me again. He wiped his nose as he continued walking the same path he was on. Gio wanted to chill by the town's river stream to watch the sunset and maybe even see some different girls. The image of Val wouldn't leave his head and it irritated him. Why does she keep popping up in my head?! What the hell? Where are group of assholes that want to fight? He stomped his way to the river's stream. He was really irritated now. Back to the group that was watching Gio, the new guy was still leaning on the wall before asking another question. That guy, seems like something's bothering him. Is he close to anyone? A girl perhaps? He asked with a nonchalant attitude. The new guy's awareness was on point. He's definitely going to be a challenge for Gio soon. The leader of the group began smirking and giggling. Hmmm. No, I don't think so-- Hey, now that I think about it. He is close to a girl actually. She has brown hair and deep blue eyes. She walks around these areas so I'm sure you'll be able to find her. The leader was more than happy to help out. He wanted Gio to be crushed and the new guy was just the right person to talk to. The new guy leaned off the wall and passed through the group of goons. He left them behind and began walking the streets with his hands tucked in his pockets. This ought to be interesting. He yawned. As Hisagi tagged along with Val, he couldn't believe that she knew his name. He didn't remember introducing himself but still, a girl knowing your name without having to introducing yourself is a plus. "Heh heh hehee. Aw shucks! She knows my name~" On the inside, he squealed like a girl. Hisagi continued to listen to Val and realized why she was so upset at school today. It was his fault. His happy smile turned to a frown as he tried to come up with the words to say. Should he tell the truth or lie to make Val happy? Wait, wait. This is Gio's girl, not his! Hisagi mustered up the strength to tell the truth then his mouth went away with words. Um... Yeah, about that. It was all real Val-chan. Let me explain. Over the next couple of minutes, Hisagi explained how Gio left his wallet in his ramen shop and Hisagi wanted to find him so that he could return it. And when I finally found him, he was fighting a group of thugs.. Protecting you! Then he went on to explain that it wasn't right for people to judge Gio on his barbaric ways. He was actually helping someone this time! I couldn't let it slide so... Hisagi pulled out his phone and began recording the fight. People had to know that Gio was a good person, not someone who fights people for no reason (even though most of the time, he does). And that's that. I'm sorry if the video has caused you trouble but don't you think that Gio needs a break from being avoided and hated all the time? He asked Val-chan seriously. I've grown up with Gio-san my whole life and he was never bad to begin with! It was always other people who wanted a piece of him. He's protected me may times and I take it for granted. He's a good guy Val-chan. It was all real and I almost couldn't believe my eyes when it happened. He trailed off. If Gio is willing to risk his life to save someone, that means that you have a very special place in his heart. Hisagi nodded and continued to walk.

Val stopped fast walking away from Hisagi. She listened to what he had to say, not liking one bit of it. It wasn't staged, but it still made her feel angry, "You had no right posting that around! Especially not without my permission." She was so sick on men thinking they could do whatever they wanted. She stomped her foot in protest and glared with hate in her eyes at Hisagi, "Don't do that ever again." she stepped up to him, up on him, "Or I'll tell Gio you kissed me." she was no kidding in the slightest. Val sighed and backed off, "Leave me alone and don't talk to me. I do forgive you though." her anger was disappearing, but not entirely. She walked off in a random direction, not wanting to go home. She wasn't worried about that gang from yesterday, no way they would come and mess with her, even though she doesn't mean much to Gio. Val stopped in front of a food vendor that was selling some tacos. She ordered one that had mango tomato salsa stuff on it. Walking around by herself, she began to eat her taco and it was delicious.

As Hisagi continued to walk with Val, he began to feel bad for what he had done. But he did the right thing right? He didn't even know at this point, especially how Val was going off on him. Hisagi simply bowed down and let Val walk ahead of him. He felt extremely embarrassed, he couldn't even speak at the moment. I'm sorry Val. He told himself as he headed towards his ramen shop. Just across the street, the new guy was strolling along, looking for his target. Hmm. Brown hair and deep blue eyes. I have a feeling we'll meet very soon. He yawned once again as he passed by a group of girls. They all blushed as he glanced over at them. The new guy was pretty good looking and had this charismatic feel to him. But to him, it was completely normal to look and act this way. A couple of minutes later, the new guy spotted a girl with brown hair ordering food at a food vendor. I guess she's the one. Fits the description from what I've seen. The guy yawned once again then walked over to the girl. He stood behind her in line and studied her body language carefully. "Hmm. Seems like she's bothered by something. Ah, she ordered some tacos? Nice pick. This won't be as hard as I thought it was going to be. As the girl walked away, the new guy ordered some food as well. Taco trucks were the best thing ever to be created. The new guy was very fond of tacos and all foods that have been created. He was a food guy. After he payed for the tacos, he tailed the girl from before. He began to eat his food aggressively and made his face look dirty on purpose. H-Hey Miss! He called towards the girl in front of him. The new guy hurried over to her to ask her a question. Sorry to bother you, but do you have some napkins to spare? As you can see, I got a little ahead of myself when eating. Hahaha. The new guy was sure that this tactic would work. Little by little, he would try to get closer to the girl and in the end devour her love for Gio.

Val was done eating her first of two tacos when someone shouted. Was it at her? Turning around, she saw a guy that was rather good looking. But overlooking that she gazed at him with her blue eyes. He needed a napkin? "Oh I'm sorry. I don't have any napkins. The only one I got is already heavily used. I'm sure if you go back to the truck you can pick some more up." she gave him a smile before returning to the direction she was walking in. Her mind was on Gio. So he actually saved her? Those thugs weren't paid actors? Hard to image that he would rescue her. But that video was so embarrassing, "Damn that Hisagi." she also blamed herself for going to get a bite to eat with Gio. If she hadn't been there with him it might not have happened. Cursing to herself she came to the conclusion that she had to apologize. Val would do that first thing tomorrow morning, before school

The new guy smirked as Val politely declined to give him a napkin for obvious reasons. "Smart, very smart." The guy turned back and began walking towards the taco truck. He asked for napkins and once the cook gave him some, the guy thanked him then began tailing Val again. "Hmm. What else can I try? I could be forceful... No, no. That would not be clever to do. Hmm." The new guy began thinking up many different possibilities on how to approach the girl. He didn't want to force himself on her but the way she easily declined him changed his whole perspective of the situation. Just then a group of girls came walking by, discussing among themselves about a certain video that was spread around their school. From the bits and pieces that the guy heard about it, it was definitely about Val. This was the perfect opportunity to stir things up. He walked a little faster so that he could be next to Val. He bumped into her on purpose but staged it like an accident. Woah ho ho. Sorry about that! I didn't mean to run into you.. Hey, wait. Don't tell me. He trailed off to the side. You must be the girl that everyone is talking about? Yeah, it's gotta be you! The class president that got "saved" by this Gio. Interesting. You're more prettier in person. He complimented Val before talking again. I was watching the video and was kind of curious on how it all worked out. You see those guys that were fighting Gio, they were all payed to do this. Oh, you ask how? Well, I saw Gio pay those goons. I mean, who's gonna pay for all those "injuries"? Gio is that type of person to pay for things to make things his. The new guy's lies were on point and almost seemed like the truth. If he could get a reaction from Val, he'd be winning this game. My, Gio has not changed one bit. I tell ya. He used to be like this when we were younger. Always staging things to get his way. When is he gonna grow up already? The new guy noticed a bench not to far away from where he was and decided to take a seat there. Whoops! Maybe I told you a little too much. I haven't even introduced myself yet. I'm Kojiro, and you might be? He introduced myself and asked for the girl's name. Seems like things are going according to plans. Now, to seal the deal and make things worse.

Val kept on her way but when she was bumped, she dropped the remainder of her food on the ground. She glared at the guy but let it go. She could always get another one. When he mentioned her name and that video, she softened her look and it turned into surprise, "So you've seen that too. Great. You don't even go to my school and you've seen it! Fantastic." she got annoyed again. Typical internet. "Listen, please don't read into that video too much. We are not together and I never want to see him again, at least, for now." Val listened to the words he said. Gio paid them? So she was right after all! But wait, "How can I believe you? I've never met you before so how am I supposed to trust a word of a stranger?" saying that made her a hypocrite, she trusted Hisagi and she barely knew him. Sighing she followed him over to the bench and sitting down, "I would say its nice to meet you but I'm not in that great a mood. And my name is Vallerie, but you can call me Val, everyone does."

Kojiro nodded when Vallerie said that he'd seen it to. He also agreed when she said that he wasn't even from her school. Funny how the internet works huh? He asked nonchalantly. He had no interest in the video or the contents of it but it sure worked well with his lies. Kojiro paid full attention to Vallerie's comments and body language. This time he was sitting right next to her so it wasn't as hard as before. "She's obviously bothered by the video. Ah, she's not together with Gio... Perfect." He was 5 steps ahead now. Vallerie just kept feeding him information. He actually liked how smooth this was going. Oh, Gio's never told you about me? Typical Gio. He never mentions his childhood friends. That's going to bother me. He chuckled. Yet another lie slipped out from his sleeves. Kojiro remained cool the whole time. With that being said, you can trust me. I've known Gio for quite some time. He said while sweeping his hair back. Kojiro took note that Vallerie wasn't in a good mood so now it was his turn to change that. Val? Well, i'm not like everyone else. I think saying your full name plants a better memory of me in your head. So Vallerie it is! He let out a big cheeky smile, almost similar to Gio's smile. Let's change your mood then. I'm pretty sure there's something out there that makes you happy. Whatever you want, I bet I can help. Kojiro reassured Vallerie.

] Vall looked over at him with a kind smile. Hearing someone say her full name made her happy, sort of. She scooted back from him, he was a little too close for her comfort, but he seemed really friendly, almost forced. Whatever, she was probably wrong anyways, "I do have a place but, its way into the city so its not a good idea." and for so many reasons. The aquarium had too many tanks of water she could fall into, even though something like that happening was very low, "But thank you for asking. No one's asked me what makes me happy. They automatically think sweets and the arcade. I mean, they work but still, it doesn't make me as happy as the Aquarium."She looked out in front of her, staring at nothing in particular. Val seemed sad, but she kept a smile on just for show, "You are very kind, but I think I better go. Got stuff to do." she stood up and gazed in his direction, "I enjoyed our talk."
