Atop a roof a short distance away from the building, stood a man. His normally peaceful and thoughtful ice blue colored eyes looking down at the building before him with a contemptuous glare. His black hair blew with the breeze high atop the bustling mechanically advanced nightlife of the city of Drowwood. He had to go through some serious inconvenience to even get into this city, more so prior to in getting the information that maybe this was a place that he could find some answers, some hint of what he was or how something like him could even exist. He wasn’t for certain at all, but from what he had seen of their work this was they place he should start. He kneeled down closing his eyes, feeling the heat of the mechanical bots rising to his skin. A slight digital buzzing escaped his body as his skin became temporarily metallic silver before melting away into a different outfit. His black long sleeved shirt becoming a short sleeved navy blue one, tactical gear lined the chest. The same came true of his cargo pants now becoming streamlined with tactical gear. From his head a navy blue hood matching the gear covered his face and as he opened his eyes the metallic silver melted away from his face revealing a white skull mask orange glaring eye slots replacing his own. The transformation was always a bit jarring for him but something he had come to accept in all this time. He stood up tightening his eyes on the target. Somewhere in this building was a server room with information on much of the city. With that he backed away from the edge of the building he was on. He wouldn’t be able to make a direct jump but from where he was he was sure he could at least come into contact and that was all he needed in this moment.

With a few steps in he launched forward into a run across the length of the building. Just as he reached the edge he planted his foot hard the enhanced muscles causing a slight give in the material beneath his boot as he launched high into the night air in a wide arch. As he began to descend he was most certainly close enough. Silently he sailed through the air, the cloth hood blowing in the wind but remaining in place. He reached out his left hand small silver spikes so small they would be near microscopic extended from his fingertips, exposed in the fingerless gloves. As he came to the building he reached out his hand and came to a halt at its side with a thud as his body weight pushed against the side of the building. At this time there shouldn’t be many people around at all so he wasn’t much worried about being noticed, but he still wanted to keep as low a profile upon entrance as possible as he didn’t know the security system a tech company in an advanced city would possess.

With his free right hand he looked to his palm focusing on what he wanted the machinery inside him to do. A thin layer of moving metallic silver coated his palm. It was working as he thought it would. He placed this hand on the side of the glass of the building. With a slight flex the metallic silver began to superheat the glass until it melted away from the center. Guiding his hand he created a gap wide enough a swung himself inside the metallic, microscopic spikes sinking back into his fingertips. He was in. He stood looking around. No people here, at least not now. Some sort of office floor, normally to be bustling with workers he assumed, now abandoned and dark in the cold of night, a slight draft entering from the newly found hole in the glass. He began to make his way through the building silently.

"Next stop: Server room…"

Jonah had to agree with her on that, he understood why they wanted to take precautions and such, that was a bit much. As much as he tried to argue against it they just wouldn't budge. Of course he was still going against their wishes by making some of these changes anyway. Besides, they were educated for moving money around and running a company, not building an android. No one would really notice.

Even if the fears of the CEOs came true he wouldn't really care considering his views on the situation, at that point he'd just quit and work independently. Well that is just a bunch of hypotheticals, for now he actually had to finish the android.

After Jiji left, he followed her out the room to lock up the building and double check the security system. Unfortunately, much to the company's disliking, Jonah became part of it. Meaning that certain sensors and alarms weren't allowed to be on with him moving about the building.Though, he was able to turn it on in certain areas of the building that he knew he wasn't going to be in or messing with, like the main entrance, roof accesses, windows, etc. and some sections of the building. Once he was done he went back to the workshop and closed the door behind him to continue working.

As he silently worked on his company tablet made a small noise against the surface of his desk. Considering the time he didn't quite expect any coworkers to be bothering him, unless a higher up decided they wanted to yell at him about something. Possibly Jiji now working on the project if anything. With a sigh he got up from the chair and went over to his desk to see what was up.

After removing his gloves he typed in the password only to find one of the silent alarms was going off on one of the office floors. "Now that's not something I wanted to deal with today,"he mumbled. Either way he was going to have to report it, but at least if he let it go off long enough to notify law enforcement and his coworkers as well. So that's what he did. Once a small notice popped up he cancelled out the notification and proceeded to turn the alarm off. At least this way people would know. But he decided to take an extra precaution and lock the room door, not like that would matter much depending on how this person got in.

"Let's see what you're up to..." He walked back over to the work bench with the skeleton and started to tap into the cameras of the area this person was in. Once he was in he tapped the different screens of each camera to find the person. "I dont get paid enough for this." He sighed after he found the person who broke in. Yeah, no definitely not going out there to deal with this, especially not after seeing the window. Instead he was going to stay in the makeshift safety of this room and creep.

The building was quiet, just as he wanted it to be. His time here was going to be limited, the time that everything could take effect even less. This was a tech company so he was sure everything worked off of some sort of security system. Guards wouldn't much be necessary, but it was impossible to believe he hadn't triggered some sort of alarm, so he needed to make haste. AS he rounded a corner realizing that if he did set something off there were no drones coming for him. He began to quicken his pace heading for the singular reason he came.

However as he moved he paused leaning on his forward foot as a noise caught his ears. He turned looking up to the corner, the glowering eyes of the mask meeting with the lens of a camera that had just moved counter to its path to locate him. Someone was here after all, someone manually controlling the cameras. Be it one or one thousand however, this was the only time he would be able to get this job done. If he abandoned his task now, there was no way they wouldn't beef up security to a ridiculous level. So he did the only thing he thought he could. Raising is right hand to the camera, he held an open palm before lowering his fingers from his pinky in a quick wave succession multiple times as if a creepy type of wave.

No loud alarms had gone off, whoever this person was he wasn't going to bother with Skull and that was enough of a reason to continue. Servers were normally kept in cooler spaces as such he had already done his research to find this place. Now that he had been noticed and figured stealth to not be much of an issue he dodged up and down the hallways to the location he had desired. As he reached the door he placed his hand on the panel where normally an ID card would allow access. His nanomachinery going to work and eating away at the materials, crawling through the wiring until the small light indicated it was okay to enter. As he removed his hand there would be a small hole in the panel where his machines had entered and exited. The door slid open and he entered. moving through the multiple blinking towers until he reached the rack mounted PC.

As the screen powered on he rapidly moved through the settings. Access wasn't much of an issue. Hacking would have been cumbersome, so instead he had grabbed this information out of a poor soul that was currently napping a short distance away from the building. This access was all that he needed however, after getting in his mind and fingers worked in unison, rapidly exploring the internals of the company. He placed two things in, A large what seemed like blunt force attack to grab all of the information that the company had to give, and something a bit smaller but no less sinister. The best part about attacking a company is that it would always seem like the company itself was the target. In reality the Skull just needed their resources. If there was someone in the building who did not aim to challenge him, that person was most likely talented on the technological front. With any luck he would trace down this blunt force attack and begin working on shutting it down immediately to put a stop to any data loss that would be occurring as all internal files were being copied and sent off to a server so buried in such an amount of pings that the true location would be near impossible to determine anytime within the next six months. In truth it would be a wild goose chase. Beneath it all was a smaller program, one made to crawl through the system and gain access to the city. If it was discovered it would break apart into more pieces the more it was attacked. There was a way to end it all, as was with anything. That much wasn't his job to figure out though. If it was even found, there were people in this city that were paid good money for stuff like this. It was to search all Data for mention of a certain person. A person who's truth he was seeking. The simple word 'III'. This could bring him the truth.

He slid the rack back into place and walked out of the room. Making his way back towards where he entered. Turning over his hand he could see a small screen on the inside of his forearm that was reading the transfer of data. A few more corners to turn and he was out of here and hopefully within the day he'd know more about her...to finally be able to pull back at least part of this curtain.

"Time to get out of here…"

he muttered to himself as he took a last look at the cameras before continuing on.

As the intruder moved through the building Jonah followed them on the various screens careful to avoid moving the different cameras to much when possible. Unfortunately they seemed to have noticed anyway. Much like a click bait, what happened next will warm your heart. This person waved. Jonah had seen enough horror movies and such of the like to know it was meant to be scary, creepy, horrifying, pick any word for it honestly. However, he was more amused by this if anything, a little more aware and alert yes, but there was no need to go pissing his pants. To avoid being rude he moved the camera back and forth at the person as if to say hello.

After they left he continued to fallow them throughout the screens and soon realized that they were heading to the server room. With a frown he moved over to his desk and then shook the mouse around to wake the computer. Once the screen lit up he typed in his password, then glanced back at the tablet to see if they actually went there. Yup they did. Before they started to tamper with anything Jonah was already working on preparing for whatever it was they intended to do. Which was a wild card because there really wasn't anything interesting to take from this company. Not unless there was some big scandal he didn't know about, but if that was the case then by all means do it. Though, he figured that this wasn't the case.

Once the stranger went to work so did Jonah. He saw exactly what they were doing and was more fine with it than he should have been. Mostly because he knew they had back ups and good ones at that because he helped make better ones sometime after he was employed so data loss wasn't a worry, but that didn't mean he was going to let this intruder completely have his way. Instead of completely shutting it all down just yet he decided to mess with what he could before it copied off into an unknown location by putting random crap in it, interrupt it and corrupt some of the files. Once he had his fun he shut it down all together so he wouldn't have to do too much work once the intruder left. After he did that, he looked around to see if they did anything else. They did. It was a lot smaller and not nearly as harmful but he'd still have to find it though. It would also take time. For now he would leave it alone for two reasons, one he was curious to what this was about and two he really didn't feel like hunting that thing down.

Now that they were done Jonah fallowed them back out to the window, then moved the camera back and forth to say goodbye as they gave it one last look.

With a slightly annoyed sigh he started to run back the back up to recover any data loss and fix what he messed with. Unfortunately he couldn't just leave it like that, he had to figure out where it all copied to which looked like it would take some time. A lot of time. Maybe if he wasn't to busy messing with the intruder he probably could have found a way to find this faster. But nope, he had to have his fun. At least it technically wasn't his problem since he was supposed to hand this off to someone else. Right, he should let email them. Actually do that later, he wanted to get started on finding the location.

I tried to be normal once...

Raine’s mind was elsewhere this morning. She recalled her encounter with the two gentlemen from earlier. The fact that she received little information about them left her unsatisfied. Even if she had tried harder, what good would that do? Clearly, both men wanted to keep things confidential. Who wouldn’t blame them? Still, it had peak her interest.

“Our paths will cross sooner or later.” She thought. Her mind was pulled out of thought when she arrived at Tetra Tech. Maybe now this will distract her from the topic. She attempted to open the door, turning the knob.

“Great, it’s locked.” She sighed. She knocked a few times; making sure it was loud enough for anyone to hear. Still, no one came to the door. Casually, she walked to the nearest window, peaking in. From what she could tell, there was no one in there.

“It sure would be nice to have a spare key in this situation.” She sighed. Suddenly, she remembered something.

“Jonah practically lives here. I’ll call him.” She reached in her pocket, pulling out her phone. She searched for his number on her contact list. She pressed send, putting the phone to her ears. Hopefully he wouldn’t be too upset with her calling this early in the morning as she waited for Jonah to answer.

Sometime after the intruder from last night Jonah passed out on the floor. He was a little to unconcerned by the whole thing but it didn't look like the person had any real aims to hurt the company. So he left it at that and just laid down for the rest of the night, spamming Jiji's phone about it and then fell asleep.

When his alarm went off he sat up with a low grumble. He turned it off and looked at the time with a small sigh before getting up and unlocking the door to go wander to the break room for some coffee and food. Just as he was finishing up preparing a pot of coffee his phone started going off. At first he thought it might have been Jiji to yell at him for texting her at three AM but instead he saw that it was Raine. Which was kind of surprising.

"Hey Raine, isn't it a little to early to be calling anyone?" He said jokingly as he pressed the button on the coffee machine to get it going.

God knows Raine wouldn’t call so early unless if it were an emergency. Desperate times called for desperate measure or however that phrase goes. At this point, she had no other choice. As it ranged a couple times, Jonah finally answered. Thank goodness.

“Well, you sound like you’re in a good mood. “ She returned the same jokingly response back at him.

“Yeah sorry for calling so early, Jonah, but kinda was hoping I’d reached you.” It was a good thing too. She wouldn’t want to call and wake up another person as well.

“I am locked outside of the shop. I called you because …well… you basically live there.” She joked.

“Mind helping a girl out pretty please?” She had intentionally made her voice sound that of a little girl. Perhaps Jonah would find it amusing as she waited for a response.

Jonah chuckled at her response."I guess you could say that." He said watching the coffee machine as it slowly did its thing as he listened to her. As she carried don he couldn't help bit to be amused. Though he was pretty positive she had a key too? Then again it was still a little early for anyone who usually opened up shop to be here. Guess she decided to come to work early? He wasn't sure. It wasn't like he paid a whole lot of attention to his co-workers schedules. Or who had keys for that matter.

"Alright, alright, no need to beg." He laughed, pulling down a cup from the shelf. "Give me like three minuets and i'll let you in."He said hanging up the phone without much of a warning, which was a bad habit of his.

Once the coffee was done he poured some of it into a mug as well as other things that he liked in his coffee before heading back to the main room. He didn't feel like walking down stairs to unlock the doors, so instead he shook his mouse around until the computer turned on from hibernation. With that he turned off the rest of the security system and unlocked the doors for Raine.

As hard as she tried, Raine slipped a slight giggle from his response. Glad he had found her to be amusing. She enjoyed this side of Jonah. She preferred him that way.

“Alrighty then.” She replied as he hung up without even saying bye. “Uh…okay.” She had a puzzled look before hanging up. As she waited, people continued to walk passed her. Often she would greet people with a smile and a ‘Hello, How are you?’ response. Some would answer with enthusiasm, while others ignored her. If only she had the ability to fill everyone with happiness and laughter. Life would be such more exciting and peaceful. Her thought suddenly was pulled away as she heard the sound of the door unlocking. She entered the shop, making sure the door was locked behind her. Immediately, she smelled a strong aroma lingering in the air.

“Was Jonah making something?” She thought to herself, following the scent. The smell came from within the break room as she entered in. She noticed a pot of coffee on the counter. It must be a new flavor as it smelled not the usual stuff he makes. She grabbed a cup from the cabinet, pouring coffee into it. She added creamer and sugar, sipping a few times to make sure it was to her liking. She walked to the table, sitting down to the closest chair with her cup of coffee in her hand. She leaned forward as her nose deeply inhaled the steam. She couldn’t resist the intoxicating scent of it.

“Mmm…coffee.” She smiled, taking a few sips from her cup.
