Weapon Triangle:
For all weapons, there is a weapons triangle, much like rock, paper, scissors. For this triangle;
Swords/Magic --best--> Axes/Bows --best--> Lances/Knives
And Lances/Knives best Swords/Magic.

Standard Weapon Material:
These weapons types use these materials: swords, axes, lances, bows, and knives
Bronze- Base weapon material, no critical chance bonus
Iron- Common weapon material, no notable bonuses
Steel- Good weapon material, provides an additional defense bonus
Silver- Excellent weapon material, deals bonus damage to monsters
Brave- Weapons that allow the wielder to strike twice
Killer- Weapons with high critical chance
Venin- Weapons that inflict Poison; cannot be used for knives

Specialty weapons:
These weapon designs serve a particular purpose as stated below:
Specialty swords:
Blade- Stronger, heavier versions of standard swords, comes in Iron, Steel, or Silver varieties
Armorslayer- a large sword that deals bonus damage to armored units
Wyrmslayer- a serrated blade that can harm wyverns and other dragon-like enemies more than standard weapons
Lancereaver- a uniquely shaped sword that counteracts lances’ advantage over swords
Specialty axes:
Hammer- a large hammer that deals additional damage to armored units
Halberd- an axe with an extended handle that deals bonus damage to cavalry
Poleaxe- a stronger variety of the halberd, comes in Iron, Steel, and Silver varieties
Hand Axe- a small axe designed with the purpose of throwing it for a ranged attack
Hatchet- a light axe designed originally to cut wood, can be thrown as a ranged weapon
Short Axe- a shorten axe designed to be thrown at the enemy as well fighting in close quarters
Tomahawk- a large two-headed axe that can be thrown for range or used in close combat
Battleaxe- an oversized axe that has monstrous power, but is particularly hard to wield
Swordslayer- a uniquely shaped axe that counteracts swords’ advantage over axes
Specialty lances:
Javelin- light lances that are designed so they can be thrown at range as well as in close combat
Short Spear- a stronger variety of the javelin with greater accuracy
Spear- a highly accurate variety of javelin
Beast Slayer- a dual-pronged lance that deals additional damage to cavalry and beasts
Heavy Spear- a spear designed to deal heavy damage to armored units
Great Lance- a more powerful version of standard lances
Axebreaker- a uniquely shaped lance that counteracts axes’ advantage over lances
Specialty knives:
Dagger- a sturdier version of standard knives, come in Iron, Steel, and Silver varieties
Shuriken- a oddly shaped throwing weapon that inflicts debuffs on the target, comes in Iron, Steel, and Silver varieties
Needle- a specially designed throwing weapon used to eliminate mounted units
Hair Pin- a deceptive weapon that deals additional damage on units that can’t strike back
Specialty bows:
Longbow- a bow capable of hitting targets at greater range than a standard bow, comes in Iron, Steel, and Silver varieties
Double Bow- a tall towering bow that hits much harder than standard bows
Mini bow- a miniaturized bow capable of hitting an adjacent enemy; cannot make ranged attacks.

Trinity of Magic
Withing the magic tomes, there is a trinity of magic, much like the weapons triangle listed above. It goes;
Anima (elemental) --best--> Light --best--> Dark
And Dark bests Anima.
Also, within the Anima, or elemental magic, there's a Quad of Elements, which also is like the trinity of magic. It goes;
Fire --best--> Ice --best--> Wind --best--> Thunder
And Thunder bests Fire.

Fire Tomes: (High damage, bonus damage to beasts; Taguel, Ibhfolach, Wolfskin, Kitsune, cavalry units)

Inferno- Deals additional damage to armored units

Jolt- Weak, but highly accurate
Spark- Stronger than standard thunder magic, but can’t be used at range

Tornado- Able to attack enemies from farther distances
Gale- Allows the caster to attack twice
Wilderwind- High critical rate
Ice Tomes: (High accuracy, lowers a target's speed stat)

Hail - able to attack enemies from farther distances
Blizzard- powerful Ice magic, difficult to use
Frostbite- High critical rate
Light Tomes (highly effective against monstrosities):

Purge- Able to attack enemies from farther distances
Aura- Gives the caster increased defense and resistance
Shine- Deals bonus damage to Risen and similar creatures
Dark Tomes (has a variety of negative effects):
Flux
Carreau
Ruin
Verrine
Mire- Able to attack enemies from farther distances
Nosferatu- Heals the caster proportional to damage dealt
Waste- Inflicts Poison in addition to dealing damage
Staves:
Heal - heals a small injury on an ally,
Mend - heals a moderate injury on an ally.
Physic - heals a major injury on an ally
Fortify - greatly heals wounds on a large area of allies.
Rescue - allows the user to teleport an ally to their side.
Sleep - puts an enemy to sleep for a short time.
Silence - silences enemy's magic and staff abilities for a short time.
Poison - poisons an enemy; MUST be cured with a Cure staff or antidote.
Cure - cures sleep and poison conditions.
Freeze - prevents enemies from advancing for a short time.
Fog - generates a fog around the user, cutting enemy movements dramatically.
Torch - allows for traveling normally in fog.
Dispel - gets rid of the Fog and Freeze effects.
Legendary Weapons:
Some weapons are so unique that they have no equal.
