Oh dang man. I feel ya. I'm in a small town not to bad for population but still. I think I would just head into the woods to be honest.
Around here the woods would be more help then harmful.
Yeah creepy but you can hear foot steps at night and high rather well.
If you must avoid something climb a tree and sleep the night through. make a bomb a** tree house, zombies cant climb! even when you get more people make some bridges tree to tree. Heck yeah! Ewok treehouse!
