"Come on, now..." Oriel didn't seem to want to talk about it. Her eyes hide themselves in her bangs. "You're saying you're a Hylian and you don't know about what you did to our people... You know what?" She said turning to Ash briefly. "Never mind. Children shouldn't bother with such things."

"..." Elmot was silent. Without so much as a glance in her direction, Oriel snapped the horses into motion. It wasn't long before they were out of sight, their little orange light blending into the horizon.

Ash's adventure would have to continue on foot, it seemed. This was just one of the uglier facets of life outside the castle. Sure, she'd probably been out plenty of times, but would it ever have been without the utmost supervision and care taken to remove as many eyesores as possible? Certainly she wouldn't have talked to one of the people who had the, if I may, correct opinion about what the Hylians had done to their people.

But that was something to brood over later--if at all. Right now Ash had a choice to make: go home and take her lumps, or go on and see what the realm really had to offer her. The latter, of course, would mean not leaving her adventure off on a sour note, and it would likely be much less likely for her to sneak out a second time.

As Oriel seemed to want to drop the discussion, Ash immediately felt bad and made a mental note to herself to bring the issue up with her father later. "I-I'm sorry... I don't know." Ash spoke quietly keeping her gaze lowered. After a moment she looked up at the night sky "I know that your people are brave and strong. I know you will all find a way to create a bright future for your people." Ash spoke softly.

As the ride came to an end and they reached their destination, Ash hopped off the wagon and waved a farewell and thanks to the two travelers. Reaching into her bag, Ash pulled out a small notebook and jotted down a quick note for herself before slipping it back into her bag. After readjusting her bag and the net, Ash let out a small sigh to try and calm her excitement. A new area to look around in, though she was pretty sure she'd been here before it had been quite some time and things seemed to have changed. I've made it this far. No point in going home just yet. Ash thought to herself with excitement.

As luck would have it Ash was near a nice little Hylain town in the South of Eldin. Hotels were relatively cheap here, and she could go shopping in the morning if she felt so inclined. Not just that, but the people here seemed much warmer than one might expect. Suppose it had to do with the small population; every time there was a new guest in town everyone seemed to put on their best, mainly just excited at having someone new to talk to, and having new stories to hear.

The town straddled a temperamental river, connecting bridges holding it together with buildings clinging close like flesh. Don't be confused, though. The heart of the village was in every smile that greeted Ash on her way in. It wouldn't take them long to point her to the nearest inn and start dinner for her

"Welcome, stranger!" They said when they saw her. "Stayin' long?"

As Ash walked through the town, she couldn't help but to smile as people seemed cheerful to have a traveler come into their town. Everyone seemed kind and willing to help, which was good since Ash didn't remember the town layout very well. Following the directions from a local, had found her way to a inn that greeted her as she entered. She smiled as the worker as they asked how long she would be staying "I'm not sure quite yet, do you have a room open?" Ash asked kindly. The inn wasn't really anything fancy, which was one thing Ash had liked about it as she walked in. Simple, yet cozy and very homey.

"Do we have a room? ... Hun, don't be silly." The older lady behind the counter had that kind of folksy charm politicians only dream of attaining. She waved her arm over a board behind her. "We've always got at least one room left for tired travelers--and by the looks of it, you fit into that category." A clap and things began to move. Someone got up from their chair in the other room, producing a telltale squeak on the hard wood floor.

"Yuthal, be a dear and get the little lady's room ready, hm?" The man nearly teleported with a nod, like some kind of genie. He was a tall drink of water, and burly too. Looked like he could flip an ox right over his head.

"20 rupees, hun... Unless you'd like dinner. Then it's 25."

Ash smiled a bit as the lady charmingly stated that they always had a room open for travelers like her. A moment later a large man showed up and after the lady asked if he could get a room ready, the man seemed to almost vanish as he took off to handle the request. It honestly stunned Ash for a moment seeing the big man with his quick movements. Ash herself was a bit on the small side, so seeing the man towering above her was a bit strange.

Hearing the woman speak up again, Ash's attention turned onto the lady and Ash gave a warm smile "Thank you." she spoke kindly before handing the lady 25 rupees. "Oh, I'm Ash. May I ask your name?" she asked curiously. She liked to address people by their name, she found that it made people happier than just being called sir or madam or something.

"Thank you, hun, enjoy your stay. ... I'm Akaya." If there was a warmer smile than the owner's, it probably wouldn't be found on this continent.

Dinner was nice too. A few adventurers and travelers were at the table: a skinny, conniving-looking man with a wispy mustache, a couple who seemed to hate each other dearly, a tall Zora woman with a penchant for sneering at the other races when she could manage, and a man in heavy robes, who said nothing.

"So... Ash, was it," asked the Zora dryly. "Why is it you're out here. Surely you've grown out of treasure hunting."
