Age: unknown, appears 33

Dorm: Willow, penthouse suite
Race/Species: Human? [Archangel, shhh...]
Sex/Gender: Male
Sexual Preference: Straight
Job: Headmaster, the "guardian" of Ashhaven Academy
Abilities:
- .: Highly adept (and dangerous) with a saber, or longsword
.: Physical Prowess: Michael has exceptional strength, nimbleness, and reflexes. His pain threshold is also very high.
.: Increased Healing: Michael recovers from wounds, illnesses, and debilitating conditions faster than the average person. His angelic feathers, however, do not regrow and if he loses an arm, it's lost....
.: Holy Connection: Ability to gauge a person's innermost self upon tactile contact, and to sense wrongdoing ("evil") and deception in general.
.: Shield of Faith: Through intense concentration and prayer, he can create a sort of force field against both physical objects and magical projectiles within a certain radius (~15 feet) centered on himself. Because he will be distracted with the upkeep of this shield, he won't be able to do much else during that time.
.: Bless: For those in need, Michael may offer them a blessing to increase the chances of a positive outcome for whatever predicament they may be facing. Usually, this comes in the form of a casual, yet carefully worded phrase such that the recipient is seldom aware of the action and may attribute their success to luck. This can also be used to inspire or bolster morale.
.: Divine Intervention: Michael is able to sense when his charges (those under his care or his protection ward) are in dire need of aid, and may teleport such that he "happens to be" at their side. In other words, he's the divine intervention.
.: Resurrection: In dire times, Michael may be able to reunite a soul with its physically restored body, given that the soul hasn't left this plane yet and wishes to return. The ritual, however, requires that Michael sacrifice a pint of blood and three of his angelic feathers. Once he loses all of his feathers, he loses his divinity. This can't be used on himself because, well, if he's dead, he won't be able to perform the ritual on himself.
.: Seraph's Conviction: A volley of divine arrows composed of searing light rains down upon the designated site, washing the area in a tide of scared fire moments afterward. This ability requires the sacrifice of one of Michael's feathers.
.: In angel form, he has wings and can fly. (Angel form is required for the use of his feathers.)
Personality:
Stern, stoic--yet forgiving. Being the headmaster and disciplinarian of Ashhaven Academy, Michael tends to be rather professional in his conduct and is often mistaken for a coldhearted authoritarian; however, those who've interacted with him will realize that he's actually quite humble and the epitome of fairness. He seems to have an innate understanding of people and the mess they sometimes get in, and how that's the only way to learn certain lessons.
Willful and just, Michael does not hesitate to intervene or administer punishment on the rare occasions that it is called for. Stories of such occasions have, unfortunately, fostered unfounded rumors of him being uptight and rigid on the grapevine. In reality, however, he often gives wayward students and staff alike a second chance, especially if they're genuine in their repentance.
Those who come to him for help or advice will find unbiased and insightful counsel, and those who wish to have a spot of tea with him will discover he's so much more than the austere front he puts up when rounding school grounds. He prefers to keep his divinity under wraps, however, so only a very trusted few--if any at all--are privy to what he really is.
History:
Not much is known about Michael, and he's rather evasive on the matter. The few closest to him barely know that he went by Mikha'el before taking on a more modern version of the name, and can only suspect that some sordid story--a thorn lodged in his past--lies behind the silence.
Judging from his pastimes and habits, however, one can hypothesize that Michael is a military man from how he handles a saber and how many references to his past allude to wartime. His astute observations and sage remarks betray a man of weary experience--one who's witnessed many ages of triumphs and mistakes.
Scattered throughout his possessions are a non-trivial handful of sacred artifacts and, to those trained in theology, his decor is rife with spiritual symbolism reminiscent of heaven and its divine offices. He won't deny it if you inquire about his piety, but neither will he trumpet it.
