I don't know much about science, but what I do know is that Cryostasis freezes the aging process. By that logic you watched your son get taken away from you then entered cryostasis again. The game never told you how much time had passed up until that point, therefore according to that approximately 60 years passed from the point you saw your son taken until the current, you didn't age a single day while he was not in cryostasis and was subject to the aging process again. I could be totally wrong, I also don't know if you wanted a scientific answer or not, but either way, that's my understanding on the matter.
