Andre moves on and looks to irish whip Ken to the ropes again, his confidence pretty much soaring at this point, and looks to catch him on the rebound with a leaping clothesline

this time, Ken reverses the whip to send Andre to the ropes. when he bounces back, Ken attempts to catch him in a sleeper hold. That ought to sap some of the energy out of him

Andre is whipped to the ropes and bounces back, right into a sleeper hold from the champion. Ken hadn't become champion because he was a slouch, but Andre was a two time tag champ for a reason. Before he can fade too much, he attempts to turn in towards Ken and wrap his arm around his waist, then lift and drop him with a belly to back suplex

once again, the momentum shifts in favor of the challenger, as a quick suplex gets Andre out of the sleeper hold and leaves the champion down on the mat again

Andre is doing pretty well here, and he might as well put an end to the champ now. He rises again and this time rolls out onto the apron, heading to the top rope and going for his Flying High finisher

Alicia has to intervene here. Ken is in a bad way and she will not allow him to lose the championship. She hops onto the apron right by Andre in an attempt to distract him.
Meanwhile, ken would get to his feet and attempt to run to the top rope with Andre, then take him down the hard way with a belly to belly suplex from the top rope

Andre may have gone for the kill too soon, and falls into the trap of letting Alicia stall him for just a few seconds. But those few seconds are all it takes for Ken to run up to the top rope, and launch Andre clear across the ring where he lands in pain in the center

that maneuver leaves Ken down on the mat as well for a few moments, long enough to realize this is the chance he needs to retain his title. He scrambles over to Andre and attempts to hook the far leg for a pin

one...two..
Andre kicks out, thankful that he'd come to in time to avoid a loss. He's determined to gain that Inter-Blaze title

"Damn it!"
Ken slaps the mat, frustrated that such a maneuver hadn't put the young man away. But since he did kick out, Ken elects to attempt to lock him in a rear chinlock submission hold to wear him down

Andre finds himself caught in a reverse chinlock. He still hasn't recovered from the suplex off the top and now is caught in a submission hold. He's unable to escape right away, as a suplex from the top always leaves you a bit winded to say the least

Ken keeps the hold in, knowing that within time it will wear Andre completely out. Now that arrogant smile the fans hate so much reappears on Ken's face and Alicia claps on the outside. Ken is the true model of champion in DHW, and he's going to show it here
