Caroline approaches Leshaye's wagon. "Looks like they're out," she says. "Shall we leave the gifts?"
Rojiza nods.
"Dash back to Mountain Air, love, and get some parchment."
Rojiza does so as Caroline carefully unloads both pouch and scarf from her skirt. She takes the stone in her hand and lets the skirt fall naturally.
When she reaches Mountain Air, Rojiza stops dead. There are Marissa and Kale, right on her doorstep! Frantically she dashes up to the door, ushers them inside and to a seat. She grabs two scraps of parchment and a quill. She makes a 'stay here' motion, dips the quill in ink, and scrabbles her way back to Caroline.
Caroline scrawls 'Ani' and 'Lesh' on the papers and tucks them into their respective gifts.
Rojiza gestures back at Mountain Air. She makes signs and chatters, trying to communicate.
Caroline shrugs helplessly. "Come, show me."
Rojiza leads her back to the wagon, where Cornelius brays happily. As Caroline opens the door, Rojiza dashes in and tucks her wall panel in place.
"Marissa! Kale! What a wonderful surprise!" exclaims Caroline.

|Kay, I want to get this done (Mene ist being impatient) so I'm just going to RP my way out of it.|
Rojiza takes the warm stone from Caroline and approaches Kale carefully. She offers it to him with both hands, tipping her head innocently. Her eyes, though, dare him not to accept such a sacrifice.
Caroline continues to chat with Marissa, pretending not to be aware of Rojiza's actions.

They all sit and talk for a while before Caroline gives Marissa her flour and says, "Ro an' I should really get t'findin' Valelldia. It was nice t'see ye both." She opens the door and allows them to exit.
"Now, querida. That wasna so hard, was it?" she asks Rojiza, perched on her shoulder.
Rojiza shoots Caroline a Look and chatters darkly.
Caroline laughs. "No matter now, ye wee magpie. It's done, and now we find Valelldia to be done with this task."
She steps out of Mountain Air and makes her way to the riverbank, looking for Valelldia's dark form.

Valelldia sat by the river, her skirts splayed about her in a wide circle. Her palms were in her lap, stones and metals gleaming at her fingertips where they sat- atop a folded piece of material. ...Waiting.

Rojiza's sharp eyes spot Val first. She has the wits to sense the air of reverence hanging about, so she doesn't leap over into the gypsy's arms. Instead she mutely points her out to Caroline, who nods and quietly approaches. She discreetly clears her throat, standing behind the dark, powerful woman, disclosing her presence subtly.

THe woman smiled, her eyes still cast over the dark water. She spoke to the pair behind her, her voice drifting in subtle, dulcet tones.
"In the past few hours, the meij has spoken but a few words to me-but they seem to be ones of hope." She turned finally, her fingers plucking the bit of folded fabric out of her lap as she did.
"I assume the task has been completed?"

Caroline nods. "Yes, it has. Rojiza wasna happy at all about giving away more of her bittie treasures, but she did." She ruffles Rojiza's hair lovingly.

Valelldia nodded, her dark tresses falling gently across her cheeks as she did. "It's definitely a step in the right direction." She stood, and came closer to the two. "I have a great fear towards the event that the meij fortells will happen. ...But I have faith that with your love, and with the support of all of us, she will choose the right decision on that day." Valelldia knelt on the ground before Rojiza. "I know that wasn't easy for you, my darling. It was very brave of you to give away those things. Here... this is for you." Valelldia unwrapped the bright bit of blue fabric, revealing a tiny robin's egg blue shell. She'd found it many years before when she travelled through the depths of the swamp... the only colorful, beautiful thing that existed there. She'd kept it all those years- and it had always held special meaning to her. Valelldia could think of nothing better to give the little girl who had made such a sacrifice. The little one reached out for the shell... and in doing so, a deep blue and green light washed over the infant. Swirls of mist-born leaves were born upon the air, and swirled around the child, blinding the gypsy women who stood before her. When the meij had ceased its onslaught, and disappeared back into its invisble home... the shell was gone from Valelldia's cloth- sitting instead, in the hands... of a child.

"Oh, Rojiza!" says Caroline, overwhelmed with joy. She embraces her daughter, holding her close.
Rojiza smiles gently, still trying to fit herself into this new, bigger body. She hugs her mother back, marvelling at herself. She then hugs Valelldia. Because she can.
A twinge of sadness tugs at this joyous moment, for Rojiza knows what the others do not--she still has no voice. She smiles prettily, though, and keeps her mouth shut as if she really has nothing to say.
