Biography: Taarsa was born a stray. Unlike her parents, both Pets that escaped after eating their masters and replacing them, she never knew the warmth of a home. Bakeneko are not so easily tamed as an ordinary cat.. And much more dangerous than that. She grew up on the streets, scrounging for food among garbage and hiding from any people that passed. She learned from a young age that the form of a starving kitten was less noticeable than something more human, but also that the latter had many uses her natural form did not. Food was never much of an issue. She could eat almost anything without much trouble, if any at all, though, for obvious reasons, trying to survive on actual garbage like food wrappers isn't nearly as healthy as eating real food, but sometimes it was enough just to have something in her stomach.
It was because of attempting to do such things that she was caught. After a few months when finding food had been particularly difficult, a starving Taarsa was caught rummaging through garbage that she couldn't have gotten to without using her human form. Her senses and reflexes were both dulled by hunger. She neither noticed the people approaching, nor was she fast enough to escape. And she laced the strength to fight them off. Even so, she did injure quite a few of them before she was caught.
That was a grand total of three weeks ago. Since then, she's gotten a lot better. Food and shelter both helped return her to the perfect weight for a neko her age. That isn't what's kept her from being sold sooner though. The reason it's taken so long to get her ready to be sold is that she keeps attacking anyone who goes near her. They had to trick her back into her cage when she was taken out and she hasn't been let out since because it's just too dangerous for people around her. She has recently been put up for being sold, though with a nice little warning about her less than tame behavior. And the shop not claiming any responsibility for any injuries she causes.
Personality: At first impressions, Taarsa would be described as feral. She does not allow anyone to touch her willingly. Even attempting to scratch her ears would result in her at LEAST taking off a person's fingers if possible. At worse, she might go for their throat. She is easily unnerved and doesn't like to fight. Just like any cat, she would much rather resolve a potential conflict without bloodshed, but if backed into a corner, make no mistake. She will attack, and attack with intent to at least seriously injure, if not outright kill the ones that have her cornered. A cat, she may be, but she is also a demon. If she's out of her comfort zone, she'll let you know immediately with a loud hiss or growl, so you can't say you weren't warned. She doesn't speak much with human words. Sometimes she forgets she can even talk at all.
On the flip side, she has the potential to be a wonderful Pet. With patience and care, a potential master might discover a much sweeter side to this kitty. Despite how snappy she can be, it's only fear. Given time to adjust and she very well could become a loving and gentle pet.. Towards her master. Anyone else had better beware. She is very possessive and get jealous easily, but her loyalty also means that she would fight anyone who tried to harm the person she's loyal to. She would demand a specific amount of attention. A neglected kitty is an unhappy and potentially destructive kitty. A jealous kitty may just run away for a few days to make people worry.
Finally, she is still a kitten. She's still growing, so she needs to eat quite a lot.. And she's very playful and easily distracted. New things are treated with cautious curiosity, until she gets used to them. She is prone to random bouts of energy, followed by a crash so fast you wouldn't believe it. She can easily go from running around to curled up in a corner asleep within a few seconds. There is nothing quite as adorable as a tired neko trying to stay awake and failing miserably.
Likes: Cat n**, pranks, dancing, playing, hunting, naps, feathers, friends, birds, fish, poison in her food (it adds flavor), snow
Dislikes: Dogs, wolves, bossy mean people, cages, feeling or being trapped, loud noises, water!!!! Bad tasting things, nasty smells, rain, cold weather
