Quote:
There's word here of some oversized minipets that need your help wrangling them to the stables. It's up to you to try your best! If you get a few back in, you might even be rewarded for your time!

Step 1: Go out and find the pet. Out in the wide open fog, where there is only fog and then fog, there are sometimes the shapes of minipets. Roll 1d6 to see what you have to wrangle. All apex pets are 6 feet in height.

1. A basilisk - 1d6
2. A goat - 1d8
3. A wolf - 1d10
4. A spider -1d6
5. A tiger - 1d8
6. Turtle - 1d4

The pet must be carried 30 feet. You must INDIVIDUALLY ROLL seperate dice rolls as you goad the pet by dragging it along its reins. The dice you roll for it is the distance it travels. For example, if you roll a goat, you get to roll separate dice rolls of 1d8 until you cumulatively get 30 feet.

If you roll a 1 at any point the pet will run away! The only way to get it back is if you have the basilisk eye item, that will lock it into place.

gaia_smilies/icon_star.gif If you and your team successfully defeat it, you get paid a old saddle. It is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list

Kalden was about done with eggs.

So done, in fact, that he had decided to embark on another quest. One that, the villagers had assured him, involved live creatures and no egg retrieval necessary. So here he was, out in the fog, attempting to wrangle whatever critters that he could find....mounts of some nature, and now he had to wonder just what these crazy people actually rode. Shading his eyes with a hand, he plowed on out into the muck....

...and was rewarded by a rather boring, domed shape...except...waaaaaaait, waaaaaaaaaaaaaait...

....was that a turtle? A giant, Jacking, turtle? "Oh Jack help." He groaned, running a hand down his features. "YOU GUYS CAN'T RIDE ANYTHING FASTER THAN THAT!?" Considering there were 100-foot snakes loitering around here, waiting to gobble up prospective adventurer, he had to say he would have chosen something a bit faster.

Loping up to it, he reached out trying to snag the reins that identified it as a mount...the creature made...the most bizarre noise that Kal had ever heard (and he'd taken an earful lately)...and protested.

"Oh c'mon, big guy....I know we've just met, but you could stand to come out of your shell a little..."

He then chuckled at his own pun, though there was no one else to appreciate it.

[God, Kal...how bad can you suck?]

One tug, and the turtle made another awkward, squeak-bellow...and then apparently proved precisely why it was a mount, pulled back, jerking the reins from his hands....and proceeded to stampede away faster than a tortoise really ought.

Leaving the lion aghast, staring at his hands in utter betrayal.

"There it goes. There goes my trust in anything that hatches from an egg. Turtle-ly betrayed here..."

He snickered at his own joke once more, cheered, and ambled back towards the village.
