If it wasn't bad enough that the dragonseer fellow wanted him, him, giant, handsome lion that he was...to go up and take a looksee for potential threats to this....lovely villiage, he wanted him to go do it in a hot air balloon.

Kalden had to BUILD the balloon.
He'd never been very good at puzzles.
Heaving a hefty sigh, he dragged a large trash can and rather haphazardly attached some snake leather to it, forming the most awkward looking of vehicles. Even the dragonseer seemed to be staring at it dubiously.
Hey, at least this was a chance for the feline monster to show off his...er...wherewithal, yes, we'll go with that.
"Ok so ah....I get to take this thing up now, yeah?" Snake leather should hold him up, yeah? Yeah. Of couuuuuuuuuuurse...

Whilst Kalden might have enough proverbial hot air within his lungs to lift, perhaps, a properly constructed balloon off of the ground to the necessary height required to survey the village, the very childish, preschool craft table method in which the Tibetan lion had put together his hot air debacle only managed to rise to a so-so height of thirty feet which...in his opinion, was absolutely awesome.
Even as he felt the balloon begin to sink its way down, the leather creaking in a rather alarming manner, he let out a victorious bellow as he jumped over the side whilst still almost ten feet from actually careening into the grass, hitting the ground and bouncing back up on his paws to hover at his usual, comfortable glide of four inches.
"Ok so tell me that wasn't awesome~"
....it seemed that the only one impressed was Kalden.
