Sheridan's face flushed pink as she said, "Claudette leads the rebellion I'm part of. She taught me everything. Sometimes we have to break doors down, and Claudette says it's important to make an entrance." She stared at Cytheria and said, "What a weird thing to call them." Hoisting herself up, she hung off the edge of the upper floor where the trap door had been opened, and she looked around for possible enemies. Not that she could do much should there be one. She crawled up on her belly, stood up, and held her hands out to help Cytheria up to the top floor.

The view from up above is far reaching. The town can be seen easily from below. It's an orderly little place that seems oddly devoid of both people and personality. Leading away in two directions there's a road as far as the eye can see, while on the other two directions the land town is flanked by thick trees. Cytheria accepts the hand up and comes to a standing position. Above them is a huge bell with a cord hanging down to be pulled. Quite likely doing so will cause a headache if done too energetically. "There hasn't been a rebellion in my lands for quite some time," Cytheria says, staying carefully in the center of the bell tower. While there are posts to keep the roof up, there are no railings to keep them from falling if they got too close to the edge. "What are you rebelling for?" ((OOC: I'm so tempted to try to make this place in Minecraft or something.))

"How weird," Sheridan said, scanning the area. "There's no one here but us." She sat down, her legs hanging off of the edge of the tower. "Well. What should we do?" She drummed her fingertips on the floor as she thought about it. This city was bigger than her village, but there was no one here. At least at home there were tons of people, and she knew most of them. Instead she was here with a stranger. A very kind and interesting stranger, but still a stranger. She couldn't help but feel a little exposed and vulnerable. "My people are enslaved by the Immortals," Sheridan explained, her voice soft. She wasn't entirely sure how much she should be saying. "Kira wants us to move to Siberia so they can live above ground again. No one wants to leave." ((OOC: you should! Also should we bring in more characters?))

StarStruckKitten ((OOC: you should! Also should we bring in more characters?)) "I've never seen such an empty place," declared Cytheria, looking around at the landscape. "In fact, I don't remember seeing any birds or bugs either," she further notes, making sure to stay very close to the center of the tower. "None of the lands near my home have slavery, exactly. But everyone has to listen to the Lord and Ladies or else suffer the consequences." The name 'Siberia' means nothing to her, so she doesn't comment. ""Who is Kira? One of your Immortals?" Then her expression softens a bit. "It's hard to leave one's home," she agrees. "I don't blame your people for wanting to stay where they have friends and family and land." ((OOC: Let's see if we can pull others in from elsewhere before we start adding multiples.))

Sheridan sighed and said, "It's kind of lonely here. I wonder what happened to all of the people who built this place. Where could they have gone, and why did they leave?" She looked back at Cytheria and said, "I'm happy I'm not alone though. You're a great friend. And Kira is an Immortal, yes. She's not too nice though. Thanks for being here with me." Sheridan sighed happily, swinging her bare legs over the edge of the tower.

"Maybe there is some information in the other buildings," Cytheria suggests. "They seem to be in good shape, so I doubt it was a war or an earthquake; things like that would leave a mark. Plague perhaps? Or maybe war was coming so they left early?" She shakes her head. "Either way, it makes me nervous up here; I guess I'm afraid of heights. I'd never had to go up this far before, so I never realized it." She shivers at the thought of falling from so high up, and looks at Sheridan in awe because she doesn't seem to be afraid of the heights.

"Let's get down then," Sheridan said, standing back up. "No sense in being nervous up here. Especially with all of the exploring we can do down below." Sheridan dropped through the threshold they'd climbed up to get to the top of the tower. Holding out a hand for Cytheria, she said, "I bet we could figure out where these people went."

Cytheria accepts the offered hand and climbs down with Sheridan's aid. Looking down the spiral staircase makes her nervous, and the air shimmers briefly before the two young women find themselves back outside of the building. Again, Cytheria seems to be quite exhausted and she slumps against the building, beads of sweat popping up on her forehead.

"Should we take a break?" Sheridan asked. She glanced around the area to ensure things were calm enough for them to rest up. "I could build us a fire," she offered.
